This place has real chairs for people to sit in while getting a nice trim, unlike the so-called "barber shops" in Greenwood, that have terrible seating with half-back chairs and people cutting men's hair that do not know the first thing about how to use a set of clippers outside of turning them on(except maybe Lee's, but he has only 1 chair) Also, a nice straight edge clean-up to wrap it up, Tom's place gave me the best haircut I have had since I left the military years ago. I'd recommend Austin if you stop in, but I bet his father Tom or any of the other barbers in there would give you a quality haircut. The price is a smidge high, but when compared to what commercial barbers charge these days, it's about average ($15). It is well worth it to get a quality fade!

Any shop where a woman walks in and gets stared at and talked about like a piece of meat is a shop I don't want to be in. The gossip that goes on is more than any beauty shop I've been in, and it's about whoever isn't there that day. It might be great for men having watering hoe sessions, and maybe I shouldn't be in there but for so long....but I didn't always feel comfortable there.

At the same time, I've been going to Headliners for about a year and have never had a problem or issue. Haircuts are $20 and they do a quality job on the cut. You can tell that every barber cares about their craft. Tim is the barber I usually go to, and I've never had an issue with his cuts. I get a low/bald fade and always come out looking sharp. They're definitely not in a rush to get you in and out of their quick, so if you're in a hurry you need to let them know. Most barbers schedule appointments in advance, but they do accept walk-ins. It's cash only, so make sure to bring money with you. And the place itself is not incredibly nice, but I'm not there to experience ambiance...I'm there to get a great haircut.
