Not only were the haircuts masterful works, but I thought the shop owner was courteous and detail-oriented. The amount of care put into each cut is truly remarkable. We are new to the area and I have been searching for a "real" barber for my two sons. We had tried a couple places in Evans, where we live, only to be disappointed. My one son is very particular and it is a fight to get him to agree to a haircut since he always ends up disappointed. Yesterday we drove the 30+ minutes to Augusta to check out Shaun and Cheri's shop. They were packed when we got there a little after 5, but they allowed us to stay for a cut. Cheri and Shaun are both very friendly, personable, and the shop was inviting. When it was our turn for cuts Shaun didn't just dive and do what he wanted to with my sons hair, he listened to what he was going for, explained to him what he could with what he had (from the previous bad cuts) and he did an excellent job. The shop looks great from the outside, a nice small town barber shop feel to it and when you walk in she has an adorable store with great benches and chairs, the decor is amazing and cozy. Cheri is probably the nicest barber I've ever been to and she's very talkative and gives great upkeep tips. She even brewed up a pot of coffee for me while I was getting my cut for no extra charge. A bit overpriced in my opinion. $18 for a haircut... If you pay with card its $19. There is only one barber at the moment.... And to be honest thats not really good. I live in the DC area.. And $19 is a bit high in a major metropolitan area. The hair cut was not worth the price. Nice barber though... And they serve coffee which is a plus. If u dont mind the high prices..
