I was delightfully reminded today when I received an email for SOMEONE ELSE'S TAX RETURN for the SECOND TIME THIS YEAR. Yes, you read that right, this is the second time they have emailed me about someone else's refund/information/ect. My experience in 2018 is still being passed around my family & friend group because it's so unbelievable. I had my first big year (2017) of basically full time-freelance money on top of my full-time job, so I thought I would seek a professional's help. I was super organized with passing off/organizing my paperwork & expenses, but was greeted with 21 questions/judgement on why I "did hire an employee to manage all my stuff" (again, my first and only year I have done that much work) I stuck it out with her office though and was transferred to a really nice man who put my return together. After I sent a payment to the IRS because I owed, I was NEVER invited in to go over my return in person or sent my return paperwork via mail. The only contact I received after payment was 2 notifications saying they needed to "extend" my return. As time went on, I was planning a wedding, and grabbing my return copies completely slipped my mind... Until 2019, when I decided to do my taxes with my husband. We found out that my taxes that I hired Cindy to do WERE NEVER FILED. The IRS told me to file a complaint. I called Cindy's office multiple times, leaving multiple messages asking for my return & what happened...she NEVER returned my call. I finally got ahold of her and she was extremely angry and rude on that phone claiming "she was too busy to deal with this and would look into finding my paperwork later". A month went by, as tax season came to almost an end, and I was able to reach the lady at the front desk who seemed embarrassed by the whole situation and pulled my paperwork within 30 minutes. I drove up to the office, where Cindy greeted me with my paperwork acting like nothing was wrong. You know, I was only picking up my 2017 tax return paperwork in 2019 that was never filed. No acknowledgement... There is no excuse she could use for this experience. If I could give 0-stars I would. I am sad I didn't pass this information on sooner, but thanks to an email meant for someone else - I was able to write my review.

In my opinion, Kris's strengths are that not only is she a CPA, and an Enrolled Agent (EA), but she is also personable and approachable. As some of lifes tax-impacting components are less than pleasant to discuss with others, it is important to have rapport with the person helping you prepare your filing. Kris is very personable, but also an astute, professional tax expert/preparer. Kris is the only person I trust to do my tax filings, and I reccommend her to anyone, no matter how complicated their filings.

Debbie Stave was extremely rude and inappropriate, she wanted to charge me to share the file she prepared for my ex husband instead of charging him. On top of that, she harassed me via email making false accusations. Save yourself a big headache and find a CPA company that will treat you with respect.

I submitted my taxes in September and had them done three weeks later in October. So I told my new wife they were awesome and saved me a lot of money and were even willing to have our back in the event of an audit. So we switched from her accountant to Mark. I felt like the man! Then came the embarrassing and emasculating events of last summer. We bought a house in April, so we filed for extension. We gave our tax info to Mark in May with the expectation that we would have them done in July. No problem, he said, We'll have them done in June! We didn't hear back from him after multiple phone calls and emails until late July. Finally we received our taxes back but and I'm hoping they are correct. Maybe something happened with their health or a family emergency but, they never told us. All we got was radio silence. Given the state of disarray at their office I was really concerned that they lost our taxes entirely. If something is going on with them I sincerely wish them the best, but don't risk people's financial lives if you can't be healthy enough to manage it. I had to identify and correct these issues myself, and the firm conducted extra internal review without informing me. The errors I identified were either acknowledged in writing or revised in subsequent drafts. When I met with the owner on June 8 and presented detailed emails outlining these errors, he said he would look into it but never responded. My check was cashed on June 12 despite unresolved problems, and a certified letter I sent on June 15 requesting an amicable resolution was ignored. The final bill was double my deposit, with no communication that costs would increase. Although the firm advertises decades of experience and attention to detail, the work I received did not reflect those claims. Prior Yelp reviews show similar concerns, and I'm sharing my experience so others can make informed decisions

I later got a bill that was 3x the amount. They also took twice as long as they said it would take. Huddleston CPAs made a grave error on my business taxes in 2022 (not providing or filing a…read morenecessary form) resulting in 5K in penalties that I was then responsible for to the IRS. While the individual employee responsible no longer works at the firm, Huddleston as a business refused to take ANY responsibility for their negligence. When I tried to request a fair settlement from Huddleston--such as receiving a partial refund for the amount I paid for their tax services given that they failed to fulfill their duties--they stopped responding to my messages. When you trust a business with something as important as your financials, you deserve better, and as a fellow small business owner, I am incredibly disappointed in Huddleston CPAs.
