I have been relatively healthy all of the six decades of my life so I didn't know what to expect but I am grateful every day that I am a patient under treatment at The Hope Center for Cancer Care. Every staff member from the receptionist at the front desk to my oncologist Dr. Roger Hakimian have been kind, patient, extremely professional, and helpful in answering questions. I have been a patient there the past 8 months and they have truly made me feel like they care about me and want me to recover as much as I do. Chemotherapy was really harsh on my body, but the nurses and lab techs have made this journey tolerable. Even on the days when I wasn't the nicest person because I felt so sick, the staff was kind and patient. I am doing much better and my cancer responded well to the chemo ( the tumor is gone). I still have radiation therapy and hormonal therapy, but I am feeling much better today and I owe a lot of it to the wonderful team at this facility. They make a not so fun experience the best it can be. I love the warm blankets! And, I never am treated as a less than because I have Lupus. The only negative would be that sometimes they run behind and it makes for long appointments.
