When I walked in, I was greated friendly by the barista.  It was a *sincere* welcome. That was nice. The dining area is roomy and allows a lot of single drinkers space to work. The bathroom was very clean, too. My only problem was that my mocha latte didn't have a mocha taste. The latte itself was fine, but the mocha was missing.  That was disappointing. read more

Came to this location a few weeks ago but went through the drive thru so this is my first time inside (typing this at 10:49AM on a Friday) and it's SO nice inside, very spacious, upstairs seating and really comfortable. I ordered the new Cider Moon Latte, which is a lovely (heavy on the apple flavor) drink. This one is MUCH bigger than the Round Rock location I'm used to. Elise, the staff who took our order, was sweet & great customer service! It wasn't a long wait at all on our order. If you're wanting tacos, it's encouraged to order earlier in the morning because they sell out quickly some days (from my experience) or only have a few left by late morning. A first, and not last! They have Moon options, and regulars. I like their naming. I love that they have full, half or quarterly sweetened options, and that they have non-dairy options too. So for a first time, I tried a Blue Moon (cure, because it's lavender infused?) and substituted the heavy cream for coconut milk. They also had oat milk or almond milk to chose from. And I believe the quarterly sweetened is sweet and low? So I could definitely taste the lavender, which was new and likable. The coconut milk was very nice, subtle, not too watery, at all. But I can definitely tell the quarterly sweet was not done properly. Either it was 100% sweet and low/sugar replacement or it was 100% sugar, either way it gave me a headache with the very first sip! And the headache didn't go away either... I'm one to give it another try because of the amazing flavors. But hope they won't send me to the hospital next time with the sugars! read more

This place is so beautiful and peaceful when you walk in it's exactly what you're looking for it with a coffee shop and fairly unexpected considering it is in a strip mall right off the highway. The staff was friendly and able to help explain to me the whole concept of moon milk, and I went with a half moon to cut down on the sweetness, but also get to enjoy their specialty. Scored the last breakfast taco and it was early in the morning so note to self those must be a popular item. I also grabbed a croissant With chocolate to go which was excellent. read more

Great place to work + lots of outlet, spacious seating, good lighting, and beautiful interior. There were a lot of selections and since it was my first time, I was overwhelmed a bit but the staff was very helpful. I ordered the 1/4 moon latte, to be honest I'm not a sweet drink lover so I don't love it but I understand how people like it. Might stick with the OG espresso drinks next time. UPDATE: Increasing to three stars due to manager's professional response. Will try again some day. I was hoping to like this as my teenage daughter absolutely loves this place. I got the espresso milkshake and the it was WAY too sweet. I have a high tolerance for sweet drinks but as other reviewers have stated this is too much. Never coming here ever again after being a loyal customer. Literally placed my order that was then repeated back to me and everything. I pull forward it's literally me and another car already at the window. A lady then comes out and tells me they can't make my drink because of a water leak??? So all of a sudden there is a water leak?You served the person in front of me then come tell me second later after taking my order and pulling forward that u can't make my drink ? Tried this for the first time, and it was so good! I went through the drive through, and the service was very quick. I ordered an iced Blue Moon Latte, and it might be my new favorite. I used to love coming to summer moon , I doubt if I will come back, I went to the restroom, and found that the restroom had no toilet paper at all! I brought this to the attention of one of the workers, and he comes back out with toilet paper, for the restroom, and then says to me , "you took one of our plates." I said , "what?" This place seemed like it was promising, it's really cute and has good reviews... but my boyfriend and I got a cold brew and an iced chai - both of which were very lacklustre. The barista was nice and said if the cold brew had too much "moon juice" in it then we could swap it out and they'd adjust it... but it was actually the iced chai that I absolutely hated. I had two sips and asked if they could swap it out for a lemonade or iced tea instead, but they refused. This location of Summer Moon is just okay, in my opinion. Much of what makes Summer Moon so enjoyable, in my own experience, is the environment in each location (well-furnished, comfortable, etc). This location feels incredibly awkward and very cavernous. It's a two-story space, but neither story feels properly appointed with furniture that fits the space. The ceilings are incredibly high in the main area, and sitting in the downstairs area (if you're not below the second-floor area), feels very ~exposed~ because of how few human-scale elements there are in the space. I think this location needs a rework on the interior design to get it into that Summer Moon design space. It also makes me think that Summer Moon is just expanding far too quickly and they're sacrificing the quality of the locations in doing so. Something that perhaps the owners can think about. The tea/ coffee was about on-par with other locations, so that is, at least, a positive! read more

Of all the Summer Moon locations in Austin, this is my favorite spot to get my work done. With two floors of tables, this establishment is spacious with plenty of room for small meetings and group work/study. Their moon drinks are fantastic, too, and my all-time favorites are the Iced Matcha Moon Latte with oat milk and the Decaf 3/4 Winter Moon Latte with oat milk. I ordered the 20 oz Autumn Moon and was asked if I wanted 3 or 4 shots of espresso. Not sure why I was asked that if I didn't mention anything about changing how it's typically made. When I asked what the normal amount was, the person taking my order didn't even know. Lastly, when I received my drink, there was about 1.5 inch of headspace in my cup. Wow, what a gyp. Deduction of two stars for expecting a tip at the drive through. I think the business should just pay the workers a better wage and not expect patrons to pay the salary the company should pay. I don't mind paying for table service, but not at the drive through. I hate to sound cheap, but life is expensive and it's a huge turn off that it seems expected at the drive through. The iced matcha moon is OMG!!! So good! This is my almost my everyday spot before I start my day! They also sell a little bottle of summer moon milk. The only reason why I'm giving them a 4 star is because my milk was sour when I took it home to attempt to make my own matcha drink . I contacted the Tech Ridge location and they were great - they told me to come back to either reimburse me back or give me a new one which they did. I do think the small bottle is a little over priced of $6 but I get it.. . Prices has went up on everything! read more

I've visited this location around 6 times and 5 times ordered a hot drink. After the first disappointment I made sure to specify to make my drink extra hot. The order taker happily confirmed. Not once have I received an actual hot latte or drink from here. It's consistently lukewarm. It's a real shame because they're the closest Summer Moon to me. I love summer moon! This coffee is like no other. The milk they use is so delicious! I am also sensitive to dairy ,so they have options to make modifications. Every time I have had coffee from here it's definitely been consistent. I know someone will get mad but it's better than Starbucks. I recommend getting the chai latte. I stumbled on this establishment after having an eye exam, and I was pleasantly surprised. The menu offered standard orders for coffee, but they had extra offerings which captured my interest. However, I ordered my "go-to" Medium latte with almond milk and sugar-free vanilla along with a slice of banana bread. Well, the coffee was great because the froth and coffee were perfectly balanced, and the banana bread had a homemade taste/feel to it.
