I was invited to this adorable coffee shop. I loved it the second I pulled into the parking lot. It was so cute inside, with big and small comfortable couches and chairs. I loved the various seating arrangements. There were so many different styles, you had your choice. Also, I loved that the color scheme was mostly white with drops of color. I loved the green sofa, it's a really beautiful place. I ordered the Pecan Sunrise, and I sure taste the orange bourbon, which is a good thing. The girl at the counter swayed me in that direction, and I'm happy she did. I ordered a buttery pastry that melted my taste buds. It was the perfect light, fluffy pastry, very easy to pull apart, revealing a moist, buttery inside. Not to mention a guitarist was there performing sweet melodies. Also, they have a nice, shaded patio with beautiful items decorating the side of the building and a huge, gorgeous mural. This was a big letdown. The coffee itself was lukewarm and lacked any sort of rich flavor, as if there was barely any espresso in there at all. After an even longer wait, my sandwich was brought out, which sealed all my thoughts on the place. The sandwich was barely warm; there was a thick piece of cheese on there that wasn't even melted (I presume due to the lack of heat). I can't even remember if I finished either of the things I ordered, but I quickly packed up and left. This was the reason I didn't remember the place as its coffee and food are forgettable. "What is Pecan Milk?" It's a question I thought but didn't ask the barista working the busy West Pecan Coffee + Beer last Sunday. I wanted to try a new coffee shop without driving too far out of the way, and I saw good things on Yelp and beyond on West Pecan, so I decided I'd give it a shot. The spot is cute, just right on the outskirts of downtown Pflugerville. There's a small parking lot, but plenty of additional street parking nearby. There's a cozy patio out front and a decent amount of seating inside, but West Pecan was hopping around 12:30 when I walked in. This led to me getting one of the last few seats on a cozy chair that remained. I heard their Pecan Sunrise was the best thing they had, so I asked the very friendly barista working what the deal was. She said it was an oat-milk-based latte with pecan milk, sweet bourbon, and orange zest. She recommended it iced, so I got it iced. It wasn't long at all until my drink was ready. I enjoyed it inside while reading and thought it was pretty alright. None of the flavors personally stuck out to me, but I thought it was quite drinkable. It was supposed to be Old Fashioned-esque, but it just tasted like a coffee with a moody undertone. Maybe it's more pronounced hot. West Pecan has a great atmosphere with solid music on their speakers and a great team behind the bar, burning through the Sunday afternoon crowd's never-ending orders. We popped in here to try a new local spot. The staff was super friendly when we walked in and gave us some great recommendations based on some questions of what we like in our coffee. They offered us pastries, we tried the pistachio Nutella swirl that they warmed up, it was delicious! Not overly sweet with great flavors. For coffee we tried their garden party which was more of a floral profile and their drip coffee. The place had a lot of people there ranging from people working on computers to just chatting and catching up. It was super inviting with lots of seating and lots of beverage options! Super cute little hipster vibes coffee shop in downtown Pflugerville. Service was fast and very friendly. Ginger Pear scone and Nutella pistachio bun are delicious warmed up. Coffee is on point. This place is always packed and poppin' and I can see why. Downside is not a lot of parking so come early! For my taste it is a bit pricey (comparable to Starbucks) but that's due to me mostly making lots of coffee at home. Grew up Pflugerville so getting a cute hip coffee shop has been a nice surprise for the area. Tried their Vietnamese coffee and it's far from the traditional taste. It was fine but wouldn't order again. Also got their breakfast sandwich and it was just okay. For how much I paid I was a little disappointed in the quality. We read a lot of great reviews with high ratings so decided to check it out. LOCATION AND SERVICE: It's a quaint cafe located in the middle of downtown Pflugerville with several parking spaces in front of it. Staff were not friendly as no one really said hi to you or smiled. The wait was too long for no good reason. One of the staff members took forever to take care of the customer in front of us; she didn't seem to know what she was doing or what the customer was asking ‍ DRINKS AND BAKED GOODS: We ordered PECAN SUNRISE and just simple ICED COFFEE and neither were drinkable! My husband and I had two sips of each and had to discard them. Their iced coffee was a step down from water with (barely) coffee flavor. We were so excited about their housemade pecan milk bourbon orange zest reduction, but the taste of it reminded me the cheap artificial coffee syrup at an office cafeteria. Also, we didn't get latte art on our Pecan Sunrise which was another letdown! The only saving grace here was the cardamom bun & honey lavender bun which weren't made by them. Thus, we see no reason to come back. VERDICT: We still don't understand why this place was packed with people sitting around using their computers and paying almost $8 for a cup of coffee that tasted as bad as the free cheap coffee offered (for free) at public places or healthcare facilities that we normally turndown. read more

Staff was super friendly, got there a little early so not busy just yet. I asked for recommendations and he said if I didn't like it he would swap it out. Ordered an everything nice with an extra shot and a lavender honey pastry. The coffee was solid smooth even with an extra shot, pastry was good not as good as I hoped but it was still good. I think I was thinking it was going to be more flaky less like bread but it was made beautifully and had a delicate flavor. I've been to West Pecan Coffee once years ago, and I remember liking the vibe and the coffee. I finally visited again today, and I love the community and vibe of this coffee shop. There are so many people coming in and chatting, sipping on coffee, and listening to a local artist sing and play the guitar. My boyfriend and I got the Something Nice latte, and it was delicious. I love how large the coffee cup size is, and I even got the regular size! Even after the milk dilutes, it's still a really creamy latte. I love visiting on Sundays for a nice coffee and chat with my friend. The cardamom buns are so good, I get one every time I go. Their coffee drinks are the perfect blend of flavor to coffee--and the sweetness and flavoring never overpower their drinks. Their servers are always friendly and patient, and happy to accommodate milk and flavor requests. It's not too loud, so it's the perfect place for a quiet chat or to enjoy a good book. In the cooler months, they have rocking chairs that you can enjoy on their front porch (well technically you can enjoy them any time, but I'm not doing that in the Texas summer heat). They do close a bit early (4pm) so I've never tried their beer or wine offerings. read more

It has oatmilk and I think that made it taste extra creamy and decadent. I would definitely go back for another one! Prices are what you'd expect these days at coffee shops. They did have a lot of other non-coffee options on the menu and they also sell some pastry items too. The space inside was rather large (they have some outside seating as well.) My favorite cafe in Pflugerville. Oh my the honey lavender bread. Do not skip! I love the Vietnamese coffee from here as well. There are different kinds of spots to sit throughout the entire cafe. Lots of great natural light that comes in from the front wall being all doors and windows. Great place to come and get some work done. It does get fairly busy, but it isn't very loud in there and the service is fast and friendly. They're very happy to help narrow down the many choices they offer. They also have games and books that you can use while there. My only complaint is the very limited parking, but there is a lot of easy street parking and other lots that are close, walking distance to park. They often have mini farmers markets in their parking lot and they tend to have someone preforming on those days as well. read more

Delicious drinks, fun food, awesome atmosphere, and bubbly baristas make this my favorite coffee shop in the area The drinks are so good and they have seasonal options I've never seen anywhere else. I appreciate the amount of no caffeine options they have as well. You can get any of the caffeine free teas either hot or iced and I LOVE that the caffeine free tea is offered iced. That's not always an option. The coffee is also very good and the espresso is consistently good and not burnt. The ambiance is very cute. Lots of plants all over the place, they also have board games and books to borrow while you stay. I appreciate how much seating they have as this is a pretty busy location. The patio seating is also a welcome addition for nice spring or fall days. Everyone who works here rocks. They are all the best. I cannot shout out just one person because everyone i have ever met here (which has been quite a few over the years) are so nice even when there's a line out the door. My husband and I moved to Pflugerville about 2 years ago and we finally tried this place for the first time today. Food: I had the breakfast sandwich. It was good! Ambiance: It gets pretty busy quickly, so I noticed it can get kind of loud. I wasn't bothered by it, just thought I'd note that for anyone that prefers something more low key. I loved that they have board games and a kids corner. They're also women owned! They also allow service animals. Other things to note about the ambiance: the decor & shopping shelves! They had lots of cute Knick Knacks for purchase! The outside is nice & clean too! Service: Our drinks were made fairly quickly and the cashier was also nice.
