This is great place to work from. It is surprising that there is actually 2 stories, since from the outside you can't tell that there's a separate 2nd floor to work from, with mostly tables and some couches. The main floor also has plenty of space and tables to work from, but caution, it's mostly wooden furniture and benches, so it might be hard on your rear and back. There are plenty of outlets, both on the first floor as well as the 2nd floor. The coffee & drinks are great, as with most of the Summer Moon Coffee I've been to. It's pretty consistent. I love the moon milk in my drinks. Haven't really tried their pastries, but have had their breakfast tacos that they get from Tacodeli. It's just ok. All in all, I would go there to knock out some work and enjoy some good wood fired coffee drinks. read more

Visited this place while in town for a family memorial. Such great coffee and a really tasty blueberry muffin. I found out later from my cousin I really should have gotten the moon milk but I didn't, she said that's the whole point :D If I come back to town I will give it a try next time. We got two half winter moons, it was pretty good, but I wasn't aware it was full dairy product, so it was fun to be mildly lactose intolerant (I should have asked but oh well lol) The service was nice and fast, we got our coffee quick and left. I discovered the cutest coffee shop with the perfect name. The inside was even prettier, and at this time of year, it was decorated for Christmas. But I can tell that without the festive holiday decorations, this is really a lovely place. It's upstairs and downstairs, with the upstairs overlooking the first floor. I loved the couch upstairs and relaxed there for a few minutes with my cup of delicious, smooth coffee. I love a good cup of coffee. Now the upstairs has plenty of tables and chairs. But I saw that big, fluffy couch and sat there. The funny thing was that a guy was at the other end and had dozed off with his fingers still on the computer keys. Now that's how comfortable the couch is. I went downstairs and sat at a table, taking in the relaxing vibes and people whispering. There are long and short tables, as well as long bistro tables with high chairs downstairs. I think this day people weren't really working, it was more relaxing with friends and enjoying a good cup of coffee. They also have cold drinks, sandwiches, and pastries. So this place will be perfect on a summer day. I also love that they had a personal water area for cups of water. Now that stole my heart. I don't see that at coffee shops, but it's so needed. This is one of the most reliable Summer Moons that I've ever been at. There's no pressure to tip, the drive thru is great, and the inside has a second story! I couldn't ask for more. I usually get the whisper moon but I got a blue whisper moon which has lavender syrup in it and it was absolutely devine. First time I've ever been here, Came in around noon on a Friday and the place was packed. Plenty of seating, including tables upstairs; which seemed to be full of the younger crowd hanging out. Plenty of parking, it shares a lot with a Chick-fil-A and a dentist office. Free WiFi, which was dropping connection often when I was there. Drink prices are a little cheaper than Starbucks. The coffee is blah at best-sometimes bitter or tastes like the smell of my cat's blanket. 1/4 moon is mostly like warm milk. 1/2 moon is like really sweet warm milk. The previous local, Taco Deli taco's have been replaced with ultimate sell-out; Green Cart tacos -and they are really EXPENSIVE for what they are. The other foods are like what you'd expected to find at QT gas stations - not local specialties. But the service... the service is fantastic. Every single employee is genuine and attentive and friendly (excellent, except for 1 crabby, lackluster girl, but I won't discount just because of her). Overall, the Tech Ride location has sadly become just another sub-par coffee chain-no longer an above-average, specialty local coffee spot :( read more

The naming is confusing and I have to ask the barista what's the difference between the different choices. Sugar level! Well, I wish they could have written those on the board to make the decision process easier. Maybe I'm being picky, but the cinnamon bun is just OK. Summer Moon Coffee isn't just any other coffee shop - they distinguish themselves with their moon milk which is a sweet, spiced milk which is pretty good. I personally tried the summer moon latte 16oz and that was more than enough for a breakfast - looking at the calorie count, there's definitely a lot of fat and sugar and my body did not really react well to it. That, and their haphazard making of the latte without any effort of the latte art and not filling up the cup all the way (at least my friend's cup) felt like the service was a bit rushed and I didn't get the full value. Nonetheless, I really enjoyed the drink in terms of taste. If I were to go back, I'd definitely get the 1/4 or 1/2 since pure moon milk with espresso which constitutes a summer moon latte was a bit too heavy for me. This is just the perfect amount of sweet and creamy while still getting that coffee in the mix. It's also great because there isn't much barista error- it seems like each time it's made it's pretty exact. I can't tell you how often I go to other spots and some baristas have heavier/softer hands and the beverages come out different each time. It's a bit pricier than some other coffee joints but if you're already splurging on a beverage, make it Summer Moon. read more

I'm a big fan of summer moon but some locations are better than others. This one is probably my favorite one. First, there's a decent amount of seating and it's never been crazy packed any time I've been in. The downstairs area is a little more active while upstairs is quieter and cozier. I have mixed feelings about the breakfast tacos offered. I appreciated that they all were vegetarian options. I never have so many options! I'm usually relegated to a potato, egg, and cheese or Migas - both solid taco options but it's fun to have more options. I'm just so over all cafes in Austin serving Tacodeli tacos bevause they're just not good. Specifically, I find they're usually in flour tortillas that start to get gooey and stick to the packaging from sitting around. Just switch to corn! Nonetheless, I enjoy the place and the coffee offerings so it's a go-to spot for me. Parking is super easy. PARENTS: If you have a stroller or something large, keep in mind that your seating options may be cut in half if you can't go up the stairs. The downstairs is loud enough that I feel like its a good spot to have kids. I don't think I'd bring my little on upstairs as her voice would carry into other people's quiet convos. read more
