Decided to take my son here for his tongue tie after reading reviews on another practice. My son's dentist recommended the other place, I had high hopes considering her background and cert as a lactation consultant. Our pediatrician office uses Summerlin Pediatric Dentistry and I had a really great first impression upon calling and speaking to staff. She explained and taught me so much over the phone since I had questions such as cost, recovery ect. Fast forward to day of appt. Didn't know the office is on the 6th floor and only a certain set of elevators go to this floor in the building! I think when patients are making a NP appt, a heads up about this is necessary. It took over 10 mins for the elevator to arrive and get on. I also went to a different set the first time and ended up being a bit late. We were recommended to Dr Hoban when we found out our middle child was tongue tied. We eventually decided on surgery after some pronunciation issues and a few cavities. Dr Hoban and her whole team were awesome! Fast forward years later now and we are still going there! We drive from henderson and we wouldn't go anywhere else. It's was our son's first time to see a dentist and they were very sensitive to his anxiousness. Madison was patient and took her time to earn our son's trust and to keep him calm. Gabby was amazing. We have been going here since my oldest was born and she is now 12. Wonderful doctors and staff, would definitely recommend.

Just so everyone's aware, I'm an adult (I'm 19), so I'm definitely not going to this dentist anymore since I'm not a child anymore. However, I'm writing this review because of my experiences going to this dental place. First of all, I never liked the staff there. As a patient, most of the dental assistants I've had (including Dr. Hoban) were very rude and disrespectful. They wouldn't even let me go to the bathroom in the middle of my appointment when my bladder was about to explode. That's a bit TMI, but you get the idea. But anyway, the staff there was disrespectful except for Dr. Rowe (who was the only person I liked there). Also, EVERY single time I was at the dentist, the dental assistants would always tell me that I need to brush better, but they would never tell me how I could improve on brushing better like my current dentist does. ALSO! Whenever I saw Dr. Hoban, she was always like "You need to brush better. Your gums are mad at me." Well, obviously they're mad at you since you keep poking at them! AND NOT TO MENTION! The dentists there are really rough despite working with LITERAL CHILDREN at that place. They tend to like to pick at your teeth and attempt to pull them out, so that just made me fear the dentist more. Overall, I highly DO NOT recommend this place. If you are thinking about taking your child(ren) there, DON'T. You'll thank me later. ;) read more

Every visit we have ever had at Summerlin Pediatric Dentistry has been wonderful. The office is on time, clean, modern, and also a warm and friendly space for kids. I can't recommend Dr. Hoban highly enough. She is smart, professional, great with my boys, and I trust her completely. On our most recent visit this week we had Madison as our dental assistant. She was so friendly and experienced and I thought she did a great job. We have been going to Dr. Hoban for 13 years. She is absolutely amazing with kids. My daughter has had to have 12 baby teeth pulled over the past 10 years due to genetics but every time Dr. Hoban makes her feel safe and comfortable and we leave smiling. They were recommended by our pediatrician for our son's lip and tongue tie. Everyone was friendly and accommodating. The place was clean - from the waiting area to the rooms we were in. There were also toys, books, things to entertain kids while waiting. They were very informative in terms of what happens during a procedure and what happens next. They explained post procedure instructions to us and sent it digitally as well so we don't forget. Dr. Hoban was very gentle with our boy and answered all of our questions. We love Summerlin Pediatric Dentistry! Dr. Hoban has been our twins' dentist since they were a year old, and they're 10 now. She's incredibly patient with them and is so good with kids, especially ones who are a bit nervous about seeing the dentist. She doesn't rush through appointments, but somehow, there's never a very long wait when we see her. In fact, everyone at the office is helpful and friendly. My two kids (10 and 7) have been seeing Dr. Row for about three years now, and I honestly can't say enough good things about her. Prior to seeing Dr. Row, they were always scared even for a simple cleaning at other dentists. She is incredibly gentle, kind, and patient. Which exactly the kind of person you hope for when it comes to your child's dental care. My kids feel completely at ease with her, even during appointments that would normally be scary for little ones. Dr. Row has this amazing calm presence that immediately reassures both kids and parents. She recently filled a cavity for my daughter in under five minutes, it was the easiest and fastest cavity fill of all time. My daughter didn't even need laughing gas or anything, she stayed calm and cooperative the entire time with ZERO pain. That's a true testament to how much they trust her and how skilled she is at what she does. I had a medical procedure done for my son at this location. The assistant that collects the information prior to your appointment verified my insurance and took us as a patient just to find out two months later that they were not in my plan. They saw us 4 times and not once was this mentioned. 2 months later I received a call from my insurance that they can't cover. Gentle and caring staff!! My now 3 year old already has dental work done. He had lots of cavities already at age two. We went to another dentist last year and they were curt and condescending towards me bc he already had issues. As if I didn't already feel terrible about that. So we went to look for another dentist. This location everyone is so patient and calming. They have so many things to keep kids distracted like TVs on the ceiling, sunglasses to wear to block out the lights, even a little toy you get at the end of your visit as a reward. My son let the tech and dentist look in his mouth, use the electric tool to clean and even took one x-ray. Everything is well thought out for the patients. Even the overall color scheme is a calming light green color. The only thing that was confusing is to know which elevator bay you need to take up to the office, but that isn't the fault of the office. The design of the building overall is a little confusing. If you're following Google maps directions it will have you park in the "back" of the building. There are two entrances on that side. Take the left door. This is the "G" ground level. Keep that in mind when you are trying to get back to your car. read more

Dr.Hoban is my kids dentist and she is the best!! She is one of the few pediatric dentists in town and is super smart. She takes the time to explain everything and does a very thorough job. She is very compassionate and kind to kids. The office is very tastefully decorated, lots of books, toys and fun stuff for kids in the waiting room. The exam rooms have TVs on the ceiling so kids can watch a movie while getting their teeth done. Her staff is awesome too. We've been coming to see Dr. Hoban for a few years now. Her new office is amazing. I wished that they had a dentist office like that for adults. Arcade games, two big gumball machines full of toys.... it's like a dream come true. My daughter's pediatrician had recommended Dr. Hoban and I am happy that she did. They were sensitive to her needs and being a first time patient they took their time with a couple of visits to make her feel comfortable. They have state of the art equipment, like a portable x ray gun to take quick pictures of teeth as well as tvs in every room. They do try to make kids comfortable and that is important when most people avoid the dentist because it is uncomfortable. Every year they have a patient appreciation program too and it's nice that they do that. I've never had to wait more than 15-20 minutes to start a cleaning and Dr. Hoban is pretty efficient at examining teeth. I feel comfortable and not rushed asking her questions about my kids' teeth concerns. They do get booked up during the school year, but I know she has another dentist working with her too that I have yet to meet. I love that they have variety of "flavors" for the polishing and the fluoride so the kids can choose that as well. Overall, we love this office and will continue to come back. read more

We had such a great experience at the dentist for my daughters first time! My kiddo is 3, and this was our first dentist visit. Just hasn't been able to make it with the pandemic and life just gets in the way. The office is super nice and the staff in the front was so friendly! When they brought us to the room, there was a movie playing on the ceiling, which my daughter loved. The hygienist took the time to introduce my daughter to all of the tools which I really appreciated. She even had names for them, which was super cute. Dr Row was so nice and made my daughter feel comfortable, as well. At the end of her appointment, they gave her a coin to put in a little machine for a toy, which was fun. My kids have been coming to Doctor Hoban for the past two years now and all I can say is she awesome and she cares tremendously about the care that  she provides to both my kids and how they feel with their comfort level. The staff here are a hit and miss, but respectful, and show allot of patience. Yet one of the receptionists who I had to deal with most recently weren't really polite, but kept the conversation respectful as one of their staff a made a mistake on sending us to an Orthodontist that did not accept our insurance. Now before I go further, Summerlin Pediatric Dentistry has our insurance and basically told us that they gave our information to Dr. Saxe's office. Well needless to say I called and scheduled with Dr. Saxe which Dr. Hoban highly suggested. The day my son was suppose to be seen we were called into another room where the rep told me my insurance was out of network and stated that Summerlin Pediatric Dentistry made a mistake by sending my son to them. As I was explaining this to allegedly Gabby the receptionist for Summerlin Pediatric Dentistry, she interrupted me and claimed that "no we don't go over your insurance and see who we can get you with". I told her no this information is certain as I recalled Dr. Hoban giving names of excellent Doctors for my son and that these were the ones my insurance would accept. Once more Gabby went into complete denial over this and then stated she could give me a list of Ortho's in my immediate area that I would have to contact to see if they would accept my insurance. Funny after giving her my e-mail and that same day of repeated checking my e-mail and spam folder she never sent any information to any Ortho's. What it took was myself to contact my insurance and get a solid list and then proceed forward that same day which was on Wednesday, December, 15th at approximately 0820 hours. Normally I have never had any issues with the office staff period, but this one came as a sidewinder and surprised me. Even as of Thursday morning on December, 16th, I called Summerlin Pediatric Dentistry to see if they received the information from my daughters new Ortho and Gabby answered and I explained what I was told and Gabby basically stated "the office you go to sends over the information and then we call you to schedule as I deal with all of the Ortho scheduling". During the conversation it really truly seemed like she cared and explained she checked the printer, e-mail, and fax to see if by chance they received it. All I can say is if you have a negative experience I'd be surprised as this office may not be perfect, but does try to accommodate everyone as much as they can and they truly try their best to meet each Childs needs. Dr. Hoban even goes to Sunrise Hospital for my daughters Dentistry procedures which some wouldn't even consider doing. I trust Dr. Hoban and have nothing, but positive things to say about her. read more

Thoroughly disappointed in Summerlin Pediatric Dentistry... A few weeks ago had Christina as our assistant and her uninterested & dismissive attitude made me not feel heard as a parent about my concerns regarding my child's teeth. Her shortness with my child was rude and uncalled for and I am surprised that to see that she even works here. Throughout our overly short cleaning appointment I overheard many enthusiastic voices from other employees which left a sour taste in my mouth that we were being treated so poorly by Christina. We love this office. It's clean, bright, and kid friendly. The wait time is minimal which is great with a wiggly toddler. They are great with little ones. I can't get my toddler to let me near his teeth but they had no problem. We usually see Dr Row but she is out right now so we saw Dr. Tate and he was wonderful too. They don't do a whole lot for toddlers because it's not necessary but it's a great way to get them used to going to the dentist. My little guy is never scared or afraid. I was referred to Dr. Hoban by Bonnie P. after having a horrible time trying to find someone to fix my sons tongue tie issue with he was a newborn. Dr. Hoban got us in. We had to pay around $450 I think for the procedure as insurance will not cover it. She wrapped my sweet baby in a wrap and put goggles on him to complete the procedure. It was pretty quick and I am so happy it went well. It made breastfeeding way easier. Now, he is two and we still go for regular visits to get my son's teeth cleaned and checked. Dr. Hoban is so pleasant and really good with my son. They even get to pick a toy at the end of the visit. This is a great place to take your child and you will be in good hands. read more

My daughter has gone to this location for a number of years now and we have no plans to leave. We live 30 minutes away but make the drive because it's beyond worth it. Dr H saw my little boy who had just turned 4 at the time. Poor kid has soft teeth and his mouth was a mess. She made us feel so comfy as I wasn't sure what to do because I was scared about putting such a little kid under or dealing with a procedure especially since it was mostly a cosmetic problem. Dr H never had to give him anything more than some gas and was so good with him everything was smooth and painless. I just can't see taking a child anywhere else and feeling as safe and comfortable. This event with Dr. Hoban occurred well over a year ago. We took our child to see Summerlin Pediatric because my child was tongue tied. He required a procedure where they were going to use a laser to cut through the skin beneath the tongue. My husband was specifically told by Dr. Hoban that the procedure was not covered by insurance therefore we had to pay cash, which we did. The office also collected our insurance because it was discussed that we might have a cleaning done since he was being seen anyway and it would be his first time visiting a dentist. We later decided not to go through with the cleaning. Fast forward almost a year later... I just so happened to call to get my sons medical information for another dentist when the receptionist accidentally thought I was calling about a refund check. To my surprise, Dr. Hoban submitted the procedure to the insurance and they cut her a check. They never attempted to get in touch with us to reimburse us for the procedure, the only reason I found out about this was because the receptionist accidentally mentioned it during our call. Very disappointed in what took place and slightly suspicious that this wasn't intentional. My second complaint with this office was from the day of the procedure. My son was sent home throwing up profusely from the anesthesia. I personally felt he was discharged prematurely because it was the end of the day and everyone needed to go home. I would not recommend this office to anyone and if I could turn back time I would have not placed my trust in the hands of Dr. Hoban or her staff. read more

Our first time today! I took my two year old for the first time and it was such a great experience. We felt very welcome. The front staff is very friendly and the doctor was also very friendly.
