The dental assistant and Dr. Sorenson were absolutely amazing with both kids. They were patient, gentle, and made them feel so comfortable the entire time. You could tell they truly know how to work with little ones. Even when I made the initial appointment, the front desk staff was incredibly kind and patient and took the time to answer all of our questions, which really helped ease our nerves. The whole office is Lego theme (which was a huge plus for my 3year old). I had such a great experience with wonderful staff. This is a great Pediatric Dentist office, one of the best in my opinion. The staff are very accommodating, they have games, Lego displays and toys to make it a fun and inviting environment for your kids. My son was kicking and screaming the first two visits (which is normal, don't panic) and today had his first appointment in the big chair. We had a great experience. They pick up the phone right away when I call and appointments are easy to make. Natalie and Sarah were on top of contacting me when they had trouble finding my daughter on the insurance. They were patient and graceful throughout the entire process. There is a lot of fun things to play with and explore while waiting. However we didn't get enough time to go through it all before being called in. The hygienist took the time to explain every step to my daughter and made sure she got all of her dentist swag. Dr. Sorenson called us the night before to prepare for the appointment. I thought it was a nice personal touch. When we checked in on Yelp, he personally brought out the free check-in Lego toy. My daughter loves Legos so the office being Lego themed and getting a Lego was a huge plus for her. All of the staff is efficient, competent, and go above and beyond to provide great patient care. EXTRACTION/TOOTH PULLING REVIEW I am absolutely blown away by todays visit. Let me preface this by saying a little piece of me healed today seeing my daughter have such a positive experience with having two teeth pulled. I had ALL of my baby teeth pulled as a child because my teeth would not fall out. So needless to say, I may have some trauma. ha-ha. I initially called to make my appointment on a Friday and was able to get in Monday. One of my daughter's adult front bottom teeth popped up behind the baby teeth and I was concerned for future growth and crowding. During the exam he said I could let it fall out naturally or we could "wiggle it out". But that wiggling them might help with symmetry when growing in. The terminology he uses for describing treatments or concerns makes it so it doesn't strike fear into those little listening ears. My daughter was none the wiser, considering we practice wiggling at home. It was perfect because he was able to fit in that treatment right then and there which helped that there wasn't a buildup of anticipation. While they set up the treatment room my daughter was too busy playing with the video games and Lego displays to even question what was going to happen next. When we were called back, we were led back into the treatment room. She was seated and was asked to pick out a smell. She chooses bubble gum and that was the smell in the nitrous nose mask. Now I'll be honest I had no clue what to expect because for me I had the old school family dentist that barely numbed you and then just started yanking. But OH MY GOSH. I sure wish they had this for me as a kid. She was able to relax and you could tell she was just kind dazed but not completely out. While this is happening is when they start getting set up for the treatment. So that means she didn't walk in to scary needles sitting on the tray. She was just relaxing back watching Moana. After a couple minutes Dr. Sorenson came in and calmly walked her through what was happening. He used the topical numbing gel and then gave her a local shot into her gums for the two teeth being pulled. She barley even flinched!!! Let me tell you this girl is TERRIFIEDDDDDD of needles and because of the laughing gas and the way he brought around the needle so she could even see it she had NO CLUE! Going back to the terminology he still said everything he was doing but in a way a child could understand. For example, he said he was going to put her tooth to sleep when he did the injection. He popped those suckers out in nothin flat and I was standing right there watching the whole thing. And it's a good thing we pulled them because those roots were long, they wouldn't have fallen out! It was truly fascinating. Once he was done, she was off the nitrous and ready to go in about 5-7 minutes. In total we were in and out in less than 45/50 minutes! She walked out of there GIGGLING about how excited she was about the tooth fairy to come tonight! She also excitedly face timed every person she could on the way home! You guuyyyyyys!! I'm just shocked truly and utterly shocked at how easy, painless, tearless, and fast that was. I floated home with relief ha-ha. I will always drive from across the valley to see Dr Sorenson AND his amazing staff! ITS WORTH IT! Now I get to spend tonight excitedly preparing for the arrival of the tooth fairy!! read more

Just got back from my son's first dentist appointment this morning, and I have got to say this is hands down the highest quality of healthcare I have received in this city! (I'm a nurse, so my standards are high!) From the first interaction with the front desk to the hygienists and then to Dr. Levi Sorenson was excellent. Actually, I should note that even before I even stepped into their office, I was impressed because Dr. Levi had called prior to my appointment and left a voicemail welcoming us to the practice as well as asking if we had any questions or concerns. I mean, who takes the time to do that? ... nobody!! I was nervous bringing in my 2 year old to his first dental appointment because, let's face it, toddlers are unpredictable and march to the beat of their own drum. However, because both the hygienist and Dr. Levi had such exceptional bedside manner he was not scared and actually was well behaved... I was shocked! They were very caring, patient, and educational. The ladies at the front desk were very welcoming, immediately introduced themselves, and made us feel at home. When checking out, I had to make a follow-up appointment in July, which is the month of my husband's birthday, the sweet receptionist (forgive me, I can't remember her name) quickly pointed out before I could even say it, "Oh it's your husband's birthday around then, let's avoid that week.." It's rare to experience such quality service/healthcare with that level of attention to detail and compassion nowadays. Thank you for a phenomenal visit! My son chipped his teeth when the dentist office was closed. Our family was in a panic. When Dr. Sorenson found out, he called me from his cell and said that they would be there for my son! Moments later my son's battle damaged grill was fixed and he was smiling again. It's unbelievable how far this practice went out of their way to help. We came here due to the 5 star reviews and have had many parents refer us here. Yup, they are all right. For many reasons: The office is so welcoming and super kid friendly with a legoland theme. Tons of tv, they have a game room with the classic Nintendo and Tetris games for adults and kids, and the staff are super nice. The dentist was awesome. Super gentle and sweet. He didn't rush and wanted to answer all my questions. My daughter needed two fillings and a silver cap and I almost passed out due to my own traumatic childhood dentist experiences. I don't usually leave reviews but this dental office is amazing! Our first appointment was great everybody was extremely nice to us and especially my daughter. She was excited to go back. Although this next appointment was pulling two teeth and putting a cap on a cavity. She was extremely nervous but they all went above and beyond to try to make her comfortable. Dr. Levi was so patient with her and customized her experience to her love of mermaids. But what really blew my mind and sealed the deal was that he later called us personally to check up on her. My child was in misery due to a toothache, they were helpful and prompt to book my daughter in the same day. Dr. Levi and his staff were really good with my child. I like the fact that they call me by my first name. They go through the entire test with the parent and are very detailed at explaining on what's going on and what needs to be done.
