Dr. Summers is a miracle worker!!! I've been having issues for over three months with my hip and the chiropractor I religiously go to was not fixing the issue. I decided to try Dr. Summers because I am a huge believer in chiropractic care and it sounded like what he offered at his office was what I needed. After one treatment with him my hip felt 1,000 times better!!! He truly cares about his patients and it shows. I loved that I did not feel like I was being rushed in and out of his office. He took time to listen and really work on my issue. I went back today because he now offers massage at his practice. The woman, Sharon, who does the massage is outstanding. Dr. Summers is the best chiropractor, anywhere. Hands down. I've had several issues over the last few years and tried numerous chiropractors in NYC and NJ. Dr. Summers was the only one who listened to every word I said, checked all medical forms and tests, asked me about all details of my issues and explained what he was going to do and why. He ran everything by me before doing it. He always asks me how I'm doing and adjusts his treatment to my best interests. He will reply to your emails on off-hours to make sure his patients are doing well. Dr. Summers is a superb chiropractor but even better person. Just ask some of the NY Jets and their families! I have been going to Dr. Summers now for about 5 years now and wouldn't go to any other chiropractor . I have used several chiropractors before him but was never 100% satisfied . Others would just adjust me like they would any other person but a real chiropractor adjust each patient differently which is what he does . He genuinely cares about your health and makes sure that when you leave you are adjusted properly and satisfied . Sadly, I cannot recommend Dan Summers professionally, and I write this review reluctantly. But I do believe I have a responsibility as part of our community to help others avoid the same pitfalls and potholes. In this world, you need to 'kiss a lot of frogs', and I hope this review might help people save their time and money and kiss one less frog. I tried Summers to check out his approach, but there were red flags from the first visit. Nonetheless, I gave it a full trial and went a number of times, only to discover that those red flags were real. I fired him on the spot when it became clear to me the caliber of person I was dealing with. If all you want is the good feeling of getting your joints popped, you can go to anybody. Even Summers Summers is like a carpenter with only one tool in his box; you just can't use a hammer to screw in a light fixture. Maybe you'll be the lucky one for whom that one tool works. I find Summers to be very limited in his capacity to listen, diagnose and partner with you to optimize your spinal health. He's kind of dull-edged, thin-skinned, inarticulate and seemingly ill-equipped to provide the higher standard of care offered by other local chiropractors and hands-on practitioners who comprehend the interrelationship of soft tissue, muscular imbalances, neurological factors, physical trauma, emotional trauma, movement patterns, and general life stressors on skeletal health. read more
