I finally worked up the courage to make an appointment as a new patient and chose Elmbrook Family…read moreDental. Due to my own negligence, I knew I needed a tooth pulled eventually. Dr. Plecas heard I was standing in a wedding the following week and nervous about swelling. He called their other locations to see if anyone could assist Monday but then instead made time same day in between patients to get the tooth pulled. So beyond grateful to everyone who helped get this done today. Everyone was so kind and welcoming, I truly am amazed they made it work for me.

I had been seeing Dr. Brunner for about 13 years for general dentistry. Since his TMJ training, my…read moregeneral dentistry appointments have been awful. It's a hard sell for TMJ services with every appointment. Cost for TMJ services: Assessment $650 and treatment $5400-6500 (services weren't clarified) with payment required upfront. He says he uses a third-party to maximize insurance payout and after that is received, he would refund anything that insurance covers. When I asked what patients do when they can't afford this treatment, he became defensive and explained that he couldn't provide services for free (which I wouldn't expect). I found a local (TMJ & Orofacial Pain Treatment Center) doctor who is excellent, fitted me with a night guard for under $200, and that has very clear patient costs for services after insurance, and charges much less overall.

That one-hour drive has been 100% worth it ever since! They've handled several complex dental issues for me that other dentists struggled with--especially when it came to achieving outstanding cosmetic results. The work is always precise, natural-looking, and done with genuine care for both function and appearance. I've never felt rushed or like just another patient; they truly listen and tailor everything to what works best for me. The entire team is exceptional. Dr. Rosen is incredibly skilled, knowledgeable, and has a calm, reassuring manner that puts you at ease. Amanda and Jeanie are absolute standouts--warm, attentive, and so good at what they do. The front office staff is equally friendly and efficient; they make scheduling and check-ins a breeze. Despite the distance, I'll keep coming back because Wauwatosa Dental Arts simply offers the best dental experience out there. If you're looking for top-tier care, especially for cosmetic or challenging cases, this is the place. Highly recommend--5 stars aren't enough! Thanks to the whole team for taking such great care of me all these years!

The building is relatively small (but not cramped) and completely updated to look like a modern, inviting home. The feeling of home is echoed in the friendliness of each and every staff member. All of them are polite, professional, and friendly. Considering a dentist's office is the LAST place you want to be they definitely go the extra mile to make you feel comfortable. Both doctor and tech were open about each step without being intimidating. They are genuinely concerned for your comfort and conduct themselves effectively without being heavy handed. Booking an appointment is great. They send email confirmations with calendar entries for convenience. Rescheduling is a breeze. After leaving from a tooth extraction I was unexpectedly given a "gift from the tooth fairy" which included a custom thank you card and a gift certificate for a treat. The finishing touches were amazing on what was already a pleasant visit. Could not recommend them enough.

My final test is whether or not Dr. Blair makes referrals to other very good dentists. I need restorative work so she referred me to a periodontist. I am impressed. She sent me to a good one. If she makes good referrals my trust in her skyrockets. There is a ramp out front and the restroom is handicapped accessible. Looks to be wide enough for a wheelchair user too. I had a miserable experience with the first dentist I found when I moved to this part of town. I am so glad I now have a dentist who I can send friends and family to. No hesitation at all.

When I arrived, Dr. Kelly refused to perform the simple request I came in for and instead tried to upsell me on four different unnecessary treatments--including Invisalign and veneers. Her reasoning made no sense and it was painfully clear that her priority was making money, not patient care. To make matters worse, the assistant and front office staff were unresponsive and disorganized--it took days just to get a basic appointment scheduled. The experience felt unprofessional and dismissive from start to finish. Afterward, I consulted two other dentists who had no issue assisting me and treated me with professionalism and genuine care--something that was completely lacking at Dr. Kelly's office. Oh, and the waiting room? The furniture is far too low to the ground--completely inconsiderate for many patients. It's just another sign that money is being pocketed rather than reinvested in patient experience. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.

When I confronted DFD about this - they told me that Aetna was apart of our insurance. When I called my Insurance company , they said " wehave no affiliation with Aetna". In the meantime , my husband had been seen for extensive dental work and only a portion was being covered ( because we were already out of network without our knowledge). The front desk girl, McKenna continued to bill our insurance per usual and told us she was doing that. If we had payments due at the time , we paid them, Not even realizing it was because they already dropped our insurance at DFD. I think they could've handled this better and TOLD us when we were there multiple times over a 6 month period that we were no longer in network. Once we did find out , we switched dentists immediately! Guess what ? No out of pocket costs either !

Please watch your billing statements…read more Dr.Stamas is above a 5 star Quality rating & Excellent service. The Billing department needs some training on customer care............. When I called and wanted the explanation of a charge that was not estimated. I was sent to the billing department. Where the lady kept talking down to me, without listening to me. We had a seven minute conversation and she started to accuse me of yelling at her which I told her I was not doing. She then placed me on a 4 minute hold. When she came back she said that the doctor was not in she talked to his Son. Who said that when I come in for my next appointment I should discuss it with The doctor. What they probably do is make you make payments before the work is started. Staff turns over quickly. Casey at the front desk is a snot! This Doctor is to worried about lining his pocket book rather than patient care. He is inpersonable. He doesnt address you during a visit. He only talks to the hygienist. He rushes the process to get to the next patient. Everytime ive seen him, he is running between rooms taking care of several patients at the same time. They make an appointment with you for a specific procedure, bills the insurance and the procedure was never even done. This is theft and insurance fraud. He wears a mask but you can smell his stinky breath through the mask. Dont think he has ever heard of a tic tac. I arrive on time and have to wait 30 to 45 minutes to see anyone after my appt time already started. Than they threaten to release you from care if you call the day of and tell them that your son was hit by a drunk driver, got a broken collar bone and I was in the er with him all night. Casey addresses this by saying, "Tom said that hes losing money when someone cancels in an energency" How heartless and selfish can one man be???? Well, he is. My child comes before your pocket book sir andyour office is the one that calls me to cancel because you are over booked. Also they rather me come in with COVID than miss a appointment and put everyone's saftey aside just to line his pocket book. Dont go to Maui for 2 weeks if you cant afford that style. I will be contacting my insurance and filing a complaint against him for fraudulently charging the insurance for services he never did. When you come in sedated from the medication he prescribed before a procedure, he has his staff come to you with a tablet to sign off on costs, than before you leave they ask for the full payment (they say its in what u sign) Clearly illegal and predatory practices. Someone under the influence of a sedative that you prescribe sir is in no condition to be signing medical forms or agreeing to a cost. This man should get his license taken away. I had perfect teeth before seeing him. His filings dont last 2 years. Ppl follow your insurance. Most procedures for filing are covered for 24 months. What they do is when a person changes a job or their current job changes dental insuran e companies, they try to bill them. Trish was notorious for trying to do this, but finally I caught on. Once I brought it to Brooks attention who does the billing, the office ladies have all been snots and Tom could care less what his staff does as long as the golden lining is around that pocket book! If you want your crowns to last at least 10 years and filings for more than a year, stay clear from this dental office!!!! They are crooks. There are plenty of dental providers out there that'll accept your insurance. Just because they have a piano in the waiting room doesnt mean anything. Been the same old furniture and decor for over a decade!!!!! $10's of thousands of dollars later because of his poor work I ended up losing 4 teeth. He puts crowns on teeth that cant support the crown therefore it gets decay and falls off. Just a lawsuit waiting to happen. Sir, its time to go back to dental school or retire!!!!! If i could put a negative star I would. You dont even deserve a 1 star!!!
