We have been coming here for a while and genuinely enjoy this place, but our last visit was one of…read morethe most frustrating dining experiences we've had. Our server Liz took our drink and appetizer order, then essentially disappeared. We had to stop two different staff members just so we could order tacos. After waiting over an hour, we were told by staff that we needed to go up to the bar to place our food order -- because Elizabeth said she "always messes up" our order. Let that sink in. Instead of coming to our table, our server sent word that we should go start a separate tab at the bar because she has trouble with our order. We are sitting at a table. That is not how restaurant service works. For the record, our issue has never been with Elizabeth getting our order wrong -- it's that she never comes to the table. From the moment we flag her down to order, to the hour it takes to track her down for the check, we are essentially managing ourselves. We brought this to the bartender, who is also the manager and is normally great. Unfortunately, nothing was done to address the situation -- no apology, no correction, and was never able to otder our food unless we started another tab with him at the bar. If a server is struggling, train them. Don't leave the table stranded for hours and then redirect paying customers to the bar. We hope management takes this seriously because we want to keep coming back and spending money-- but not like this. Our check # 10011 at table 50. We were here for over 2 hours and still never ordered our dinner.

We made reservations and checked in. The young girl who helped us was very nice. She was friendly with a cool vibe. I forgot her name, but she just started working there like her second day. I would have to give a compliment to her because she did a great job! Even honored a refund because fathers throw for free this weekend since it's Father's Day! It wasn't posted online but there was an advertisement for it on the tv when we walked in. Then we went to Lane #8 where another employee greeted us, told us about the rules and served us drinks. He was very nice and attentive as well. Overall the place was nice and clean. There was jumbo jenga, and big uno cards. I saw some arcade games and claw machines. The bathrooms were nice and taken care of, there's a button on the wall, if you press it lights and music comes on like a party. Very cool. Our wood board was pretty damaged and seemed beaten. My axe didn't stick and it's the worse I've ever played. My man whooped me all four rounds for 75 minutes. But we still had a great time!

I was holding off on writing a review until I had the chance to go a few times since the new head…read morechef came in and revamped the menu. Now that I have had two dinners, on March 5th and 27th, and a recent brunch, June 6, here is what I can conclude: The Food: Everything I have tried on the menu so far has been pretty flipping delicious beautifully, but not pretentiously, presented looking and tasting like a truly from scratch kitchen (which did not seem to be the case with the previous chef/menu). Standout mains included a beef stroganoff special, the fish and chips and possibly the best shrimp and grits (might be only a weekend brunch item?) I have ever had (to the point that I am likely to go back and have it again in the next week or two) Standout apps were the raw oysters (especially the in house pickled watermelon mignonette), the pulled pork sliders, brussel sprouts and recently a new buffalo style baby back ribs with shaved celery and blue cheese crumbles (it was so good my sister would not let us finish it so that she could take the last bite home to share with my brother in law and give him pointers) Standout desserts included the bread pudding and the cream brulee. The Drinks: Cocktails had a rougher start but were excellent in June. Back in March the cocktail menu seemed a bit confused. Several drinks I tried were incredibly unbalanced (and whether that was due to bad recipes or errors while executing said recipes who knows). I feel like they might not always have had an experienced bartender behind the bar, back in March, because one time it was something as simple as a gin & tonic that was accidentally made with plain soda because the syrup had run out and no one seemed to know how to help correct the issue. Whoever revamped the cocktail menu, please accept a huge THANK YOU! I will now be drinking my way through the menu over my next several visits. The standouts recently were the exceptional clarified milk punch cocktail called Sweet Disposition and the Strawberry Letter. The Service: Excellent. Everyone I have interacted with, especially the serving staff, have been attentive and took brief moments to make kind personal connections. One even gushed about how happy they have been seeing the changes implemented by this new incoming chef. The Venue: It has a relaxed golf course club room atmosphere with a main upstairs dining room and patio seating (weather permitting). There is also a downstairs area with an additional bar and space for live music (which seems to be a regular occurrence). I appreciated the separation which allowed for distinct vibes depending on your mood. My apologies that I have no picture to share (though the food and drinks were photo worthy) I was too busy enjoying myself.
