He looked at me like I was a thief and I've got over three or 4 million people on social media and I don't steal it for him to see me like that. I did not like it and that's why I didn't buy a bike. Over a month or so ago, my mother took my Mongoose Exlipse bike in for repairs. It needed new front brakes, chain guard, and chain installed. While it did have rust on it and the seat material was worn, those issues could be remedied easily and were not meant to be corrected there. One of the employees, a young man, happily said he would perform the repairs. As that visit was only to get a quote, she took it back about a month later for the actual repair job. That was when his superior saw the bike and promptly refused to repair it. My mother left and later called, as I was stunned and rightfully heartbroken, to ask why. His reply was, and I quote, "the bike is not worth fixing." Later on in the phone call, he added, "It was not worth his time." This man apparently believes he has the right to decide how much personal worth MY bike has and how much it means to ME. That comment was quite uncalled for and very mean-spirited. The fact that a man, whose main job is to repair bikes, claims that repairing a bike is not worth his time, defies all logic and common sense. Regardless of how much the repairs would've been, my mother was willing to pay and yet he still refused. The entire reason I even wanted my bike repaired in the first place is because the blue and silver Mongoose Exlipse is an older model and no longer in production. My mother explained this to him and it made no difference. If it was still in production, I simply would've bought a replacement, but it cannot be found anywhere. Repair was the only option, and obviously I picked the wrong repair shop. This man is clearly arrogant, selfish, and cares nothing about potential customers and their circumstances or wishes. He has no tact and lacks the ability to show respect and decency in verbal interactions. Since repairing a bike is somehow not worth his time, in that case, his business is not worth praising, visiting, supporting, or giving money to. The only person there who deserves a compliment is the young man who cheerfully agreed to fix my bike on the first visit. I proceeded to take my bike to Hill's Sport Shop instead. If you can believe it, an employee took a look at it and, without hesitation, said he would fix both front and rear brakes and install a new chain, all for 26$. Just yesterday, my mother called and found out it was ready for pickup. When she mentioned this incident to the employee, he said that he'd already received three complaints from customers about Sun Adventure Sports that day alone. Obviously these complaints are legitimate, given what I went through. I would strongly recommend everyone avoid Sun Adventure Sports entirely. read more

I stopped into the shop because it was next to our hotel during our cross country road trip.. The guys in the shop could not have been nicer. Not being able to get much research done before we arrived in town, these guys had some great recommendations for trails and dinner. Stopped in the next day and they asked to make sure our bikes were running right before we headed out onto the trail. I do not have any history with their repairs or services, but the shop was stocked with whatever you may have need that you may have forgot behind. Tubes, jerseys, socks, gloves, lubes... and with a great selection too.. I will stop by the shop whenever I am in town again. read more

The service is okay. The guy I dealt with was kind of a jerk. He had long hair, tattoos, and from what I gather doesn't know much about bike mechanics because he couldn't fix mine either time I took it in there. I think the staff in there is pretty good, they just have one guy that doesn't want to be there and is pretty rude. I probably won't go back. Two times and my derailleurs are still jacked up. If I need new parts just tell me, don't act like its fixed just so i can take it home and find out the chain is still rubbing terribly. Y'all were the ones that put the bike together. I was passing thru Amarillo on my way to Caprock Canyon after riding Picketwire Canyon in Colorado. The thorns in PW had taken they're toll on my wife's 29er as we had not yet changed her bike to 2 bliss. We needed a quick repair and searched for local bike shops. We found that Sun Adventure Sports was just down the road from our Hotel. What a Gem! We arrived at opening and was greeted by a welcoming staff. Glenn took me thru the store and we picked out all the parts I needed. Fifteen minutes later he had me tubeless and on my way. He offered up some local riding info. and turned our thorn experience into a positive. P.S. Not a flat was had the rest of the trip. read more

I bought a skateboard for my son. He had only had it for five minutes. On the first jump the skateboard broke in half. We returned to the store with the broken skateboard within an hour of the time we bought it. I thought for sure that they would at least exchange it for us. The manager was uncooperative and rude to say the least . They would not exchange nor return the money. I had bought a gift card for my son. He is very dissappointed. This store definitely does not back their products. They most definitely will not be recommended by our family to anyone. We are out money, and our son is out a skateboard. POOR SERVICE! read more

Look the service was not good. I asked them to re build my rear hub and do spoke tension on both of my mtbs wheels. I also wanted them to replace my bottom bracket with a shimano one I brought with me. They did spoke tension and trued my wheels pretty good, but the rear hub was only tightened and not re greased I know this because today my locknut for the bearings were loose and so my whole rear hub was loose and it was impossible to corner or keep my v brakes without fixing it. The grease was full of bad grit on the rear hub which is why I needed them to redo it. They also did ok for now on the bottom bracket they didn't strip my cranks, but I do not know if they actually used grease and teflon tape like I asked. Also I got the "bike shop glare" and they were kind of rude when I asked to fill up my tires because they had gone flat. I just felt not really welcomed here so im not going to come back and make sure none of my friends do either so they don't have to deal with this. Also I was charged just barely under 100 dollars for my 200-300 dollar bike when they still didn't do everything. read more

Let me start off by saying I do like this bike shop. It's the closest one to us here in Clovis. My problem is I took my brand new carbon lefty I bought from them about 30 days ago to have a shorter stem put on. They got right on it and everything seemed fine until I got home about a hour and a half away only to find the nicked the paint off of the bike in two place. I get that things happen and its a mountain bike and will undoubtably get scuffed up. My problem is the lack of integrity shown! Why not just tell me. It would have been a lot better if someone had shown some common courtesy and just told me about it. read more

Just a word about an awesome bike stores employees. My wife and I ran into Glenn while riding in Caprock Canyon State Park. What a knowledgeable guy Glenn is about bikes and trails in the park. The following day we were fortunate enough to ride with Glenn, Scott and Tanner from Sun Adventure Sports also. All three of these guys were so polite, professional and bike smart! I will never shop there again, horrible customer service, went to the store 1 hour before closing and they had already closed but we're still inside. Watched the store employees run from the from to the back to hide then saw me and decided to open the door to explain they weren't busy and closed early. They asked what I was looking for, told them but decided to not let me in to shop, sucks for you Sun Adventure Sports cause I might have bought a mountain bike, was looking for accessories for sure.
