I was told by the owner who runs the shop that they checked the wiring and it was fine. Only for me to continue to have problems - took it to the dealership and it was the fuel injector harness. Seamed like a good option. Then when I soon had intermittent misfires happening, he diagnosed the newly rebuilt engine from California with bottom end issues. Again he said there was no one in Southwestern Ontario capable of tearing down the block to determine the cause or fix it. My own internet search took me to Chariots of Simcoe. My old mechanic could not have been so wrong!!! Sati is the most knowledgeable and capable Porsche mechanic I have ever spoken with. He did a complete disassembling of the motor to discover my cylinders were not properly aligned to the top of the block causing coolant entering the combustion chamber, as well as a few other issues with the US rebuild. He was able to machine the block flush, procure custom head gaskets and better rings and completely rebuild the motor, also fixing the other issues, all staying true to his quoted price. Now my car is running smooth and stronger than ever. I only wish I had known about Chariots of Simcoe and had Sati rebuild my motor the first time.
