When one drops off their laundry - the last thing one expects is to be handled by rude and unskilled trainees who just graduated from high-school. Reportedly, in an effort to save salary and payroll expenses - Management has decided to RISK hiring young boys "right-out-of-school" - with no customer service experience in order to teach them the "fine art" of the laundry business. It's Not Working! This review is about one such a trainee who has, in our opinion, exhibited rude and aggressive behavior to his customers and reportedly his fellow workers! What's more, his inexperience led to him overcharging company customers! We are writing this review on behalf of those customers and fellow employees who have the risk and misfortune to run into this individual named Austin. Rude Management That Bites! Should you encounter his rude behavior as we did - do not hesitate to report him to management just like we did - so that management is apprised and customers are protected. Ya know? There are those moments in life when one needs to eat a little bit of crow. Here we have…read moreone of 'em, and I'm kinda glad I get to share it with you folks. I ranted and raved about how slow, expensive and inconvenient this shop is. That said, I finally went to pick up my 2-piece suit and tie Tuesday, even though it was ready, apparently, the Saturday previous. So once I get in, I see that John must be watching the grandkids, He was nowhere to be found but I saw a couple of little kids horsing around in the back room area. So they call out to him, and a moment later, John appears. He apologized as I passed him the ticket. He finds my freshly cleaned and pressed suit, hangs it up and he laughs a little. Those two little kids are a handful but he's patiently watching after them as he runs his business. Meantime: $16.75 for the suit and tie! That, to me, seems quite reasonable: especially given the six-day turn time on the ticket. He didn't say anything one way or the other, but I kinda think I got a bit of a break here. It doesn't seem like he has much of a staff other than his wife who does the alterations and mending in the morning hours. There was a good sized heap of stuff waiting for service as well as full racks of other stuff waiting for pickup. John was more friendly and outgoing than usual this go round. He's usually a pleasant fellow anyway, but I kinda get the idea that I caught him in one of those "moments" where one sees the human side of his business, life, etc. So I gave John that extra bit of patience, courtesy, etc. as I gently joked with and spoke to him. Long story short: I think I'm gonna stay here as a customer...I still believe I'm looking for a service of convenience. At the same moment, it's also up to me to help support this small family business. No matter what, it's still about doing the right thing.
