I live in Suncreek apartments and have been here for years, never had a problem until Chamberlin & Associates took over about a year ago. I am currently dealing with a shower/tub that I first requested maintenance on 7/29/19 and it is currently 9/6/19 and it still isn't fixed and C&A keeps trying new tactics to get me to pay for the entire repair. It started when I was taking a shower one day and noticed the bottom of the tub dipping down a bit while stepping around showering. When I got out I saw there was a crack in the tub that wasn't there before so I put in a maintenance request. Didn't hear back for a week, so I put in a 2nd request. Then someone came and said it would need to be replaced. Shortly thereafter I got a bill for $1690 with the exact reason for being charged, per the document: "Failure to promptly report issue resulting in water damage." This was ridiculous since I literally reported it the same day it arose. So, I provided photo proof of my first request, the exact day the crack appeared, as well as an email receipt confirming my maintenance request. Also, I obtained written confirmation from the office manager that there was in actuality NO water damage. The office manager said okay the charge should be removed and they will get it fixed. After that I don't hear anything for a few weeks, still isn't repaired. Then today I get an email from the office manager saying well you're still responsible for the repairs (that still haven't happened) of $1690 plus any additional charges that may arise. This time it's because the "crack is not due to normal wear and tear." Mind you, this was never mentioned in the initial charge notice. It's like their first reason didn't work so let's try something else! Keep in mind I literally only used this shower like any normal human would, I don't jump around or do exercises in the shower, I never fell in the shower, nothing. It's a fiberglass tub that has a 10-15 year lifespan and the tub already had signs of wear and tear develop within the past year with another crack on the upper side of the shower, but maintenance didn't fix it then either. It's a CRACK in the bottom of the tub we are talking here, not a hole, not a giant damage, a CRACK. So I've been a model resident here for years, no late payments, no issues, nothing and am now having to deal with this. I've done nothing wrong, I followed my lease requirements which state to report issues promptly which I did and never did anything to damage the tub. It's an old tub! Just replace the thing and stop acting shady to your residents, especially the good ones. I would caution anyone to research any apartment complex you are looking into and note if Chamberlin & Associates is the property manager to be wary. I feel this is less a Suncreek issue and more a C&A issue the office manager today even told me it's her last day and she doesn't agree with me being charged. IN A MATTER OF TWO MONTHS; MY PARTNER'S WORK TRUCK WAS BROKEN INTO (TWICE) & TOOLS HAVE BEEN STOLEN! The first time around.. a few of his work tools where stolen. I reached out to the leasing office and unfortunately there was nothing they could do. I asked if they could send a mass email to all the residents; asking if anyone had seen anything. At first Abigail had mentioned that they couldn't.... after calling the local police station and asking her again... she said they would draft an email. Day or so passed, I followed up and nothing was done. Therefore, we decided to drop it; not let the incident affect us, move passed it, and just repurchase the stolen tools again. Weeks later.... and they broke into the truck AGAIN! Breaking the window, side tool box, & stole EVERYTHING! Unfortunately, nothing has been done to help prevent this from happening again. We are extremely upset and worry for our and community safety at this point. This will have an emotional and financial burden on us. I am asking the management team to do their efforts to keep residents property safe and put a stop to the criminal activity that has been happening at Sun Creek !!! read more

Five stars is not enough to show how happy I am with Sun Creek Apartments, Especially in regards to the office manager she is very kind. I've been living here for the past 4 years and I have to say I am very happy here. The staff make you feel at home. Maintenance issues are always resolved in a timely manner and the maintenance staff are pretty darn good. One of the Maintenance guys have been here for a year or 2 his name is Alex or as my son calls him Papa lol. He always greets my 3 year old with a smile and when he has a question he's always polite and attentive. Thank you Alex! Information.... you wont get your full deposit back..... There is a new management company that just brought this property. They did not give my full 299.00 deposit back to me. Instead sent me a check for 207.62. Absolutely zero explanation. After calling the apartment 4 times with zero resolution. Not one person has called me back to explain why im not getting my money back. At the walk through the lady in the front office kept saying how clean and impressed she was with how i left the apartment. Then tells me i will get my full deposit payment back with no problem. Im extremely not happy with this. They basically screwed me over. If i could give zero stars i would read more

Apartment looks nice on the outside but the inside has roaches, mold, overall old building. I keep putting in maintenance requests but it gets marked as completed. Washer and dryer always goes out also. My apartment might be the worst in the building. Seems like every month there's a problem from leaks and yet there's mold and they just paint over it and never fully fix the problem. The good ratings are based on the ladies in the front. They're very nice and professional I've never had a problem with them. It's not worth the price considering all the problems with the unit itself. read more

Jessica and Barbi took care of things right away if not that day the next day for sure. Always had a way to contact them either by phone or email and always got back to you the same day. They were the best along with the maintenance crew. All were friendly and courteous. They bent over backwards for their tenants. Miss them since a new company, office personnel and maintenance took over. There is no way to get ahold of them for they don't answer the phone or return calls, no way to email them and can no longer pay rent on line. Have to write a check and slip it in the rent slot which to me is unsafe. It's been a week since we requested a slat for the blinds which broke in the master bedroom a five minute fix and still not taken care of. We used tape to semi fix it so we weren't putting on a side show for the neighbors. So far not impressed at all by the new company or management. Hardwood floors are nothing more than thin wood looking linoleum. HORRIBLE place to live. We were there with previous owners who were awesome then the new owners took over and they have no idea how to own an apartment complex. The place left us 1 month without a washer that works. They also charged us over $4,000 after we moved out. They claimed we did the damage without showing us proof of the damage. After talking to them, they took some but we just paid. 4 months after we paid them, they told us we were going to collections because we didn't pay. When I called them, they told me our check could have gone to a different account. So horrible of a place! Never ever rent there. read more

If I could give a large 0 I would. I should've known when it took 2/3 weeks after a maintenance call to install shower rods when they specifically said it'd be done before move in. Recently had a battle with USELESS management, who basically told me to suck up any noise complaint I have. Blamed it on cheap floors and heavy tenants even though the lease clearly says "noisy, annoying, disruptive noise" can get you kicked out but told me they can't do anything about my noisy neighbors and to be 'considerate', yet THEIR noise went on through 3am! Called once to file the noise complaint and they never responded, sent an email and never got a reply! until neighbors had a noise complaint on me. Felt completely ignored, disrespected and harassed by management since they didn't do anything about my noise complaint but repeatedly let me know about my music even had the audacity to come knocking on the door, but not even to address my initial noise complaint. On the last ridiculous complaint filed on my family(it was indeed ridiculous considering it was 3pm on Saturday and my music was above average, NOT BLASTING), I took around the complex and found other people blasting music but apparently only mine was the problem? through all this, nothing was solved I still have the same problem and they let me know if I get another complaint I'll get a 10 day notice. Im a respectful tenant who has paid rent on time and just wanted to be heard THE FIRST TIME, instead they're trying to kick my family out during a pandemic because of MUSIC! Ha! A joke! I too was worried when I heard we were getting new management...but my worries have been all set aside. I have spoken with the new manager (Susann) about maintenance requests and some other concerns I had. She has always been professional and courteous. I got the feeling that she really cares. I believe we are headed in the right direction. My maintenance requests were handled right away. My AC was not working and it was checked out the same day. Later that day I got a call from Susann explaining that they needed to get a part to fix the AC. She let me know the AC would be fixed the next day once they got the part. I wasn't happy at first, but I did appreciate the fact that she called me to let me know what was going on....and the AC was fixed the next day. read more

My girlfriend and I have lived here for almost a year and I've lived here before and both times the staff was awesome!! They have quick maintenance, nice service, and they host constant events to get to know their residents. They don't have to be this nice but they really go the extra mile. The pools are always clean, they text you updates and nice things regarding holidays and office hour changes and it's really convenient to pay rent online, no money order required!!!
