It's a decent gas station to stop at off 74. What I really like about this one is they have multi person restrooms. You don't have to wait in line for some rando to finish his business. Now that said, the cleanliness is a little below par. Gas prices are higher but nothing significant. This is normal for gas stations in the middle of nowhere. Service by the folks behind the counter is good. Just watch out for the odd round about getting to the store. It is a little confusing. read more

A friend recommended This place! To be in a convenient store, their chicken and tater wedges are phenomenal!! Taters are soft and fluffy inside, crispy outside. The coating is to die for. Quick stop for a bathroom break. There aren't many good stops along US-74 without detouring off the highway so this was convenient. Bathrooms were clean and most of the customers were wearing masks though not doing a great job at maintaining any social distancing. The convenience store is well stocked with snacks and drinks. Charged my card twice and said it was declined but still charged on my bank statement. When I said something to the clerk she claimed it was declined. Store was very dirty and had a dead roach on the floor. read more

Such a cool rural community. Everyone is doing there thing and I loved it. Nice bathrooms, good fried food, and lots of snacks with lovely workers. This place is big time. Only problem is that they don't sell beer, which is pretty dumb, but than again the vibe in their is excellent. Great location for a pit stop right off the highway. 5/5 gas station. My review is for the fried chicken this place has to offer. Delicious. It was fresh and homemade, not what you would expect from a gas station restaurant. The staff was friendly. They offer fried gizzards and livers or white meat tenders. We got the white meat strips and completely devoured them. They were huge strips of chicken breast in a crispy batter. guys do not i repeat do not stop here!!! its not about the service but about how many people die in this intersection because there is nooo overpass!!! today i witnessed a man lose his life because of this. im sure the people that work there are great but its a very dangerous place to stop. i wish this man could have been saved but unfortunately he couldnt. the highway patrolman stated that several people have died in that intersection. to exit the gas station to go east you have to cross 4 lanes of traffic that is going 70+ mph and you are at a dead stop!!! im writing this in hopes to save the next persons life!! stopping here is not worth it please go somewhere else!!! read more

Easy on & off the highway. Bathrooms are very nice & clean which is a big deal! My only gripe is you can't pay for diesel at the pump, and we had to switch pumps after going inside to pre-pay. Also the fuel comes out really fast & when we heard it getting too full we let off the handle but it foamed up & ran out of the tank. read more

Very Backwoods... Never stop here and definitely never get anything from the grill. The card readers at the pumps never work. I went in side to pay and had to wait several min while the cashier talk to the nurse in front of me about the infected open wound on her hand. The nurse from the local hospital then explained how the next night when she got off work she got off work she would bring a staple, lidocaine and some stitches and debrief the wound for her so she wouldn't have to go to go have it done by a professional. (Side note-as a medical profession I know this medical procedure is well outside of this person medical training and would be highly unethical for them to preform)Then when I went up to pay the cashier was very rude because swiped my credit card rather than put it in the chip reader. read more

Driving back from Oak Island and stopped to use the restroom. Read recent reviews that were bad. Our experience was good - women's bathroom was new and there were 4 or 5 stalls. Recommend stopping here as a pit stop. read more

It exists. Not much around but if gas is what you need when that low fuel light comes on you're in luck. Right off the highway.

The cashier was being rude to someone when I walked in, so my expectations were low. After I got only 15 gallons of diesel fuel in my semi, my expectations were met. On my way to the fried food buffet, the cashier stopped me with that forceful, irritated, "Sir !" Said I "had to" buy at least $100 of fuel with that card, which I knew wasn't true. I questioned it, she backed away from the demand, but then decided I had wait until the other customers checked out. Luckily for both if us, a cashier opened the second register. Does it get better for regular customers? Maybe, but I'll never find out. read more
