Brisket and other sandwiches, and little plastic cups of banana pudding. You're at an overstimulating traffic stop whose soda fountain sizes are large and extra large. This is the first Buc-ee's off I-95 and the crowds are crazy, but at least you can park your RV. Though posted signs say trucks and trailers are not allowed, you do have diesel in that extreme fuel island. The staff were kind and went out of their way restocking brisket sandwiches and other goods without elbowing through the demanding crowd. Ample parking, ample bathrooms, cold drinks, and fuel, fuel, fuel. Don't expect peace, but all the amenities are here. read more

So many unique things here at Buc-ee's. I wanted to love it and for the most part I did. The store itself was awesome. It's a great tourist attraction. We did try some of the food the brisket sandwich was good it was just missing some tangy coleslaw. Bought 3 chicken boxes with fries and it was so expensive and soooooo salty. The tenders were not great and the fries were like douched in salt. For $60 without gas it was mediocre at best. I'll be stopping by the Daytona Beach location soon but I won't try the food. Seems like food places nowadays do not believe in holding back the salt. Which is so disappointing and a waste of money most times. I enjoy all the decor and merchandise. Been hearing about this place for some years now. I haven't drove south in a long time so this was a MUST to stop by & see what the hype was about! I was amazed by all the gas pumps...they should never have a line with so many pumps...WOW! Then I was amazed at the prices for the bag of ice as well as how generous they are with their employee wages that they show. As I entered I became a bit overwhelmed...people were moving all around this establishment & there was just so many things! They carry their own brand of items...with so many customers,the lines move fast if there is even a line. So many different stations with food,fudge, different types of nuts,coffee,soda machines,gift items & many more. Shopping was impossible because no matter which direction I turned, I was shoulder to shoulder with people. My son grabbed a bag of teriyaki beef jerky, and while the checkout line for that one item moved fairly quickly, we still waited 8-10 minutes. My first visit to Buc-ee's was a total turnoff. This place has been on my "must visit" list for some time & FINALLY the opportunity arose. It was a perfect stop on the way home from Charleston, SC. It aligned perfectly with our drive and even allowed us to charge the car while we shopped! When we walked in I quickly knew it would be a bit overwhelming. It was packed... I think they said the crowd was due to Bike Week. They had everything but on STEROIDS! Jerky, BBQ, Fudge, Coffee, snacks, clothing, jewelry... you name it, they had it! Even the bathrooms were on steroids, so many stalls with lights to show occupied vs available. It wasn't a place for me to go with my husband. I needed to have my sister & sister-cousin to really enjoy the experience. There was one disappointment... they don't sell the fresh tortillas they make in the middle of the store. We made it to Buc-ees!!!!! Our first time here! I made a stop at Buc-ee's with my 8-year-old grandson and 2 baby Granddaughters, and let me tell you--it turned into a whole adventure! It wasn't long enough of a visit since the girls and their mom stayed in the car! GRRR.. From a grandma's perspective, the first thing I noticed was how clean and well-kept everything was. The restrooms? Absolutely spotless--honestly better than some hotels I've stayed in. There were green and red lights on the outside of each stall to let you know which stalls were available and which were occupied. The lines moved very quickly. That alone makes it worth the stop when you're traveling with kids. Now, for my grandson, this place was like walking into a wonderland. His eyes lit up the second we walked in. Between the rows of snacks, the huge drink stations, and all the fun Buc-ee's merchandise, he didn't know where to look first. He was especially fascinated with the Toy section there were so many to chose from. It was a Saturday so this place was very busy. I heard Al Roker from the Today show praise the brisket sandwiches. I also wanted one but the wait was too long. We ended up grabbing some treats--beaver nuggets (of course!), 3 slushies,beef jerkey, candy bars, chocolate covered pretzels, and a couple of souvenirs magnets, t-shirts, Buc-ees water bottle and a Buc-ees tumbler he insisted we "had to have." I appreciated that there were plenty of options, whether you want something indulgent or a quick, decent meal on the go. What really stood out to me was how easy everything felt, even with a little curious little boy in tow. Plenty of space, clear layout, and friendly staff who didn't seem bothered by all of the people shopping. I stocked up on hot sauces, salsas, cheese curls , shirts , a new cup, a festive Bucees stuffie, fudge, and a cooler bag , and more. Having lunch there is a must and I highly recommend the Brisket Sandwich. It was packed with flavor. My favorite treats are the salted caramels, they have milk chocolate and dark chocolate options. So good. I don't know how they do it, but the bathrooms are the cleanest bathrooms I've ever seen. Also the way they manage the registers wow very efficient and the line is easy and efficient. It was nice to experience it once... and I'd definitely stop back by when in the area, but probably wouldn't go out of my way to again. Pros: plenty of parking, super cool vibe, crowded and lively-but in a good way, bathrooms are huge and clean--everything is easy to obtain--very efficient in the logistics of handling such a constant large crowd! Service was friendly--huge variety of whatever you're looking for, and I mean whatever lol Cons: Some of the hyped up items were just ok... didn't care for their cookies at all... paddle tail was decent.. beaver nuggets.. they were decent... jerky was super hard to bite into and chew.. key lime pie pudding was ok, and the bbq brisket sandwiches were nice, but they had too much artificial smoke flavor that made me a bit nauseous, so I didn't finish. I've been to 2 different Buc-ee's in Texas and neither was as busy as this one in Florence , South Carolina. We even had a large group of Army Soldiers come in and buy a bunch of food. I'm a Veteran myself , so it was good to see. I took my niece and sister today who had never been to one and really wanted to check one out. Of course they bought their share of cups , t-shirts , snacks and such. I got a South Carolina Gamecocks t-shirt and a S.C. key ring. After looking at a bunch in Myrtle Beach I found one here I really liked. We also got 3 sandwiches , 2 Club Melts and one Pulled Pork Sandwich. The pulled pork sandwich was better than the one I had in Texas and it had more of a smoky taste. The Club Melt with turkey, bacon, ham, cheese and spicy mayonnaise was really good. I stopped here on the way back and got a brisket sandwich and glazed pecans. I also picked up some cheddar puffs for my daughter per her request. I looked for a long time and couldn't find them. They were not on the chip isle or on the ends. Luckily I saw a lady with some in her hand and she showed me where they were( on a small display ) I wanted to get a praline from the fudge area but there was only one person working in that area and the line was too long the whole time I was there. The only thing all Buc-ee's lack is a place to sit and eat. I don't like eating in the car, but there's no other option. My brisket sandwich was not as good as my last one....had some chunks of fat that I did not eat. The gas prices are not posted anywhere....outside or inside. This was our first time visiting this location. I have been to several other locations in Texas and Georgia, and it is always fun to visit. This is located in Florence, SC. We loved it! We could easily spend an hour or two here and still not see everything. It was busy when we visited, but the staff were very helpful and energetic. Everything was fairly well organized and clearly separated. If you can't find something, you can always ask one of the staff members. They are very helpful. They go out of their way to point out for you and help you find more. There are sandwiches, snacks, and drinks if you're hungry, perfect to grab and take on the road. There are also restrooms and a gas station. Anything you need, you can probably find here. It's a great rest stop when you're traveling. Kids love coming here. It's almost like Disneyland! This is one of our mandatory stops whenever we're driving through the I-95. It's the perfect place to get refreshed, relieved, and refueled. Many gas pumps, ample parking all around (including EV charging stations), well lit inside & out, fresh/hot food, a variety of beverages, a plethora of merch, clean/spacious restrooms, and all available 24/7. The attendants here are welcoming, friendly, helpful, and courteous. There are 2 entrances but we've discovered that the entrance off to the side gets closed down around 10pm. Also, something to note is that there are no water fountains, so if you wanted to refill your own water bottle, you'd have to pay $1.99 refill fee. However, you could simply purchase their largest cup (99¢). We were initially upset to hear we had to make a purchase even just to get water, but we can totally understand how people can abuse a "free refill" policy. The food is great! They've got everything from brisket, pulled pork sandwiches, chicken/veggie fajitas/burritos, jerky, pastries, fudge, and prepackaged salads/protein kits. Their beverages consist of fountain soda (including some unique flavors), coffee, and slushies. With regards to their merch, they sell almost anything and everything. There are many things you can use for the outdoors and/or camping. They've also got a lot of knick knacks, home goods, books, toys, clothing, shoes, as well as some seasonal items. Smaller than most Buc-ee's I've been to, but the selection was great. If this is your first time, Pay Attention! #1 rule of Buc-ee's is to get a basket or buggy. Trust me! It helps when carrying drinks, cups of ice, (good Sonic style ice!) sandwiches and of course Buc-ee's Nuggies! Particularly original flavor or Cinnamon! Also be sure to check out the wall of Jerky or their freshly wrapped jerky behind the counter. Bbq is what they are known for and they do it amazingly well! The sausage on a stick freezes well. So we always get a few, toss them in the freezer when we get home so we eat the sandwiches first! Don't sleep on the fried chicken sandwich! It is huge!! 1/4 filled my palm! The Beaver Chips are also second to none! Not greasy in the least and had the best potato flavor! I could easily eat 4 boxes myself (in 2-3 days) If you need a gift, pick up an assorted box of fudge! What in the fever dream even is Buc-ee's! By now, it feels everyone is familiar with this iconic pit stop, there is a HUGE cult following and central VA will be getting one soon. On a recent road trip home from Charleston, we decided to stop at Buc-ee's for gas and to see what the buzz was all about. We were there on a Sunday and IT WAS PACKED! It was the most overstimulating parts of my day in a funny way. There was chaos in the bathroom line, a cacophony of sounds including the word Buc-ee, and a bunch of Buc-ee themed items. Did I have fun? Yes, I think I did. We met Mr. Buc-ee himself (in a mascot costume) and got free stickers. I decided to get the Overbite (a 1/4 pound chocolate medallion filled with cookies and cream OR peanut butter). My fiancé got the brisket burrito and it was really yummy. There were people in the center in cowboy hats chopping brisket. There was Buc-ees merch all over. It was a gas station on steroids with a theme park vibe. My 2nd time at a Buc-ee's. I had to stop for some gas and this place was packed. Luckily there we a few gas pumps open so was able to fill up and then I parked to venture inside. This location looks just like other locations on the inside and was filled with customers. I browsed the aisles and spotted some cool merchandise and picked up a few items. Seeing the food got me hungry so I decided to have lunch. I got a Big Buckin' Brisket, Beaver chips, Banana Pudding and Chicken and Fries. The Brisket was nice and soft and delicious. The beaver Chips were crispy at the top and as I got to the bottom they were getting limp. The chicken and fries were really good. Seasoned just right and crispy. The banana pudding was bland to me. My first visit to this Buc-ee's location. The Disneyland of gas stations! The restrooms were attractive and spotlessly clean, Buc-ee's - style. There are so many individual stalls (with real doors) that you never have to wait. Buc-ee's has many food options, definitely something for everyone. Burritos with tortillas made in store, a jerky bar, candy, two entire aisles full of chips and other snacks. There are salads, all types of fruit cups, cheese cubes, a bakery, dozens of flavors of fudge made in-store. I highly recommend picking up a delicious chocolate peanut butter candy called Overbite. There are so many sections of merchandise you could spend all day shopping. There are several clothing sections, a section for pet products, unique decor, wall art, bar ware and kitchenware. Throughout the store there are Buc-ee Beaver shirts, toys, bags, and basically everything you could image that a beaver head could possibly featured on. We visited Buc-ee's today, and the excitement leading up to it did not disappoint! Even though the gas pumps and store were very crowded, we were able to quickly find a pump and fill up with ease. Inside, despite the large crowd, the store was well-organized and easy to navigate, which made the experience enjoyable. We picked up a magnet, some delicious fudge, and pralines--everything was fresh and worth the hype! My son even got to take a picture with Buc-ee, which made the visit extra special.
