I pulled into this gas station this evening because it was down pouring and I needed a place to stop for safety. I wish the storm hadn't distracted me so much because I admittedly did not realize until after I filled up that the gas price was almost $2.00/gallon higher than nearby competitors'. While I understand people are struggling right now , I'm still just dumbfounded by the fact Unleaded gas was $6.79/gallon today. Deceptive business practices. Gas is twice as much as any other local station. Preying on people returning rental cars as they're the closest to the airport. The price signage is low, obscured and purposely hidden to trap as many unsuspecting tourists as possible. Reported to the Orlando Consumer Protection office and they say they will investigate. Pulled into this place to buy gas for my rental. I'm from out of state, so had no concept of what local gas prices were like. This place is basically a scam, only allowed to exist because Florida doesn't care about consumers. After I bought gas here, is discovered I could have bought 100LL avgas for less money. Be warned, gasoline at this station is more than twice as much as other local gasoline stations. I called the manager and asked him why their gasoline cost so much and he said it's because they're near the airport. I didn't realize it cost more money to deliver gasoline to a gas station that is near an airport. Also there's a gasoline station about 1/2 mile to the north where it's over $2.50 per gallon cheaper.
