I have had back problems since I was 16 years old. Over the years, I visited countless doctors, chiropractors, and manual therapists, and I tried numerous devices and treatments for a herniated disc. Eventually, surgery became unavoidable. In 2022, I had my first back surgery with a different doctor. It went well, and I was able to return to my normal life. Unfortunately, after an injury, my same hernia came back. What followed were days of significant pain and sleepless nights after the injury. Fortunately, I was able to get an appointment within a few days, and Dr. Scott Lee immediately prescribed the right treatment to control the pain and stabilize my condition until the day of surgery. From the very first visit, Dr. Lee's professionalism, meticulous approach, and calm confidence immediately earned my trust. He carefully evaluated my condition, ordered updated MRI scans, and clearly explained the treatment options before choosing the best path forward. His manner was reassuring and thoughtful, which made a huge difference during such a stressful time. On the day of the surgery, something really stood out to me: the hospital staff were genuinely excited to be working with Dr. Lee. Everyone I interacted with spoke highly of his skills and reassured me that I was in excellent hands. They were absolutely right. The surgery went smoothly, without any complications. I was discharged about an hour later -- and unbelievably, I walked the very same day with no pain in my legs, feet, or back. That feeling was incredible and truly life-changing. It was my second cesarean, and the care I received while I was there was wonderful and incomparable. I didn't get this kind of treatment with my first c-section. They helped me to the restroom when I needed it, and even helped me change my baby--simple things like that really helped me during my visit. I didn't feel neglected or stressed at all. The hospital is very clean, and even the few visitors I had commented on how kind and attentive the staff were. They even offered a free car seat and diaper bag for my baby. No hi, no can I help you, nothing she just said "I'm not her assigned nurse " I am in so much pain I asked for pain meds she said later. She said no I don't think you can eat or it's a nice idea to eat you need some smoothie you can have your family bring you some smoothie for you. My family lives an hour away. Also, Keck patient care had my family stay across the street at Currie Hall residency. It was a nice place to chill after surgery before driving home too. Coming home was an easy transition for me. It is a holiday and I can't enjoy myself because when I walk it feels like my knee is going to give out, my calf starts aching and my toe aches. He twisted and turned the needle in my toe as I begged him to please stop. In 12 years of getting this shot once a year, I have never ever ever felt like this. So basically, Dr. Lu intentionally inflicted unnecessary pain. I screamed and begged him to stop. Afterwards he says "I know you are a Leo, I hope that wasnt too bad". Does he have something against Leos? My quality of life is affected by his negligence. I love walking but since this horrific experience, every step that I take makes my knee feel weak, my toe, foot and calf ache. I had absolutely no pain anywhere before this appointment. Go to any doctor but Dr. Lu, he seems desperate for patients who have to visit often. Everyday I live in pain which makes me think of him and what he did to me intentionally. Don't trust him.
