My mother had total reverse shoulder replacement surgery with Dr. Abdulian almost one month ago and the result has been very good. Dr. Abdulian has a great bedside manner and was very reassuring about being able to help my mother to regain the function of her right shoulder. This poor rating is not for Dr.Abdulian himself but for one of his staff members YIRAZ. I saw Dr Abdulian on February 3 2025. It was determined that I need shoulder surgery. I was told that his staff would obtain authorization from my insurance for MRI and a CT scan. TWO weeks later I had still heard nothing from his staff. I called on the 17th and was informed that YIRAZ was in charge of getting the authorization and I was given her phone number, I left a message on the 17th then left another message on the 18th and not until the 19th in the evening I heard back from her. I asked what the delay was and she gave me her word that she would call me back that Friday. NEVER heard back from her at all on that day. This is not only unprofessional but extremely inconsiderate to give someone your word and not live up to it. It shows me that this individual has no professional work ethics or consideration for Dr Abdulian patients. I called back Monday morning very upset and left yet another message for YIRAZ. My call was returned by ANI asking if I needed to schedule a surgery appointment. I explained to ANI that YIRAZ had failed to communicate with me and that it was urgent for me to get appointment dates for what Dr Abdulian had requested. ANI told me that she would forward my information to YIRAZ and mark it as urgent. YIRAZ finally called me back and I mentioned to her that she had given me her word that she would call me back on Friday. Her reply was simply " YES" no explanation or excuse as to why she never kept her word. I am looking forward to being operated by Dr Abdulian because he was highly reccomended by my other surgeon who has done two hip replacements Dr. Phillip Merritt. I've been in chronic pain my whole life. I've seen other doctors and even had pointless surgeries. Dr. Abdulian took one look at me and diagnosed me with Hemihyperplasia. I suffered an ankle break (fibula) and had to undergo surgery for it to heal correctly. Luckily, my doctor and surgeon was Dr. Abdulian. Dr. Abdulian is a clean and skillful surgeon. He's knowledgeable and confident and it's evident in his work as the procedure resulted in an excellent outcome. He is always warm and inviting and takes the time to explain things and eases your concerns. He has great bedside manners. His hopeful and cheerful attitude makes a difference psychologically from a patient's perspective and certainly did a lot to quell my concerns and fears. He was also very accommodating and generous in giving me the necessary time off to help heal from the surgery as well as tend to the rigorous physical therapy that is demanded with these types of surgeries. After many years playing sports and being a PE Coach, needless to say, my knees took a beating. Had arthroscopy surgeries on both knees only to have the pain come back twice fold. I had to put off knee replacements for many years also as I just couldn't afford to take the time that was needed for rehab. After being referred to this office by my insurance, after a request from my pain mgmt doctor, i was asked if i was taking any pain meds at telling the receptionist, Tatiana, that i was referred for injections in my wrist, hips and shoulder. I explained that my hip pain had been increasing over the year and that i had been born with my hips out of place. Tatiana said she had to talk to the doctor before i could set up an appointment. When she called me back, she said they wouldn't set up an appt. They were the wrong doctor for me and i should ask to be referred to pain mgmt. When i told get pain mgmt was the one who referred me, she told me i should contact my primary for a referral. Why would i ask for pain mgmt when i am trying to get the cause of the pain taken care of?!? read more

Dr. Abdulian has cared for several of my family members. He has excellent bedside manner and anyone I have sent to him as a patient ends up with great things to say about the care they received. He explains the injury to the patient and gives them the options and that's where the most important part comes in. By far the best Doctor I have seen in Los Angeles! He is compassionate, thorough, and knowledgeable! What more can you ask for? Over the past year I have been experiencing pain in my left shoulder that has worsened to the point where I was unable to complete the simplest daily task. Just trying to brush my teeth was excruciating. I was referred to Dr. Abdulian by a friend who broke her foot and had to have surgery to repair it. I figured I would give him a try as he was local and came highly recommended. Great decision. For years I raced dirt bikes, the same kind of racing you see on TV with the big jumps and major crashes. As a complete amateur, I spent a lot of time in ERs and in surgery having bones screwed and pinned together and joints popped back into place. I've seen a lot of really good doctors, in the best hospitals in big cities and tiny Urgent care units in the desert. In all those years, I can honestly say that I never experienced anyone like Dr. Abdulian. He is remarkable. This is without a doubt the most friendly, kind, caring, talented doctor I have had the pleasure of allowing to cut me open. And, there have been many. As you may or may not know, surgeons can be less than stellar when it comes to bedside manner. It's part of the deal, I guess. The whole, holding someone's life in your hands thing effects people in different ways, I suppose. Thankfully, Dr. A could not be farther from this stereotype. He instantly becomes a friend when you meet him. You feel like part of the family. And this way he has about him seems to spread to the others that he works with. His staff is amazing. SOOO nice and understanding and helpful. In the end, my surgery went seamlessly and I am now in physical therapy (way worse than the surgery). But, I am definitely on my way to a full recovery. Thought the years I have definitely been prone to braking bones, tearing ligaments, etc. It gives me such a great feeling to know that if it happens again, I have Dr. Abdoulian standing by to treat me. The man is a prince. By the way, if you have an injured child, he is absolutely the Doctor you want to see. I was lucky enough to have found Dr Michael Abdulian through a friend's referral. Dr Abdulian had operated on her shoulder and repaired her rotator cuff tear and she is doing great!
