This is such a comforting & caring facility. I went there for the first time 6 weeks ago with some…read moresort of lesion's that grew on both of my calves & thighs. After trying to treat them myself with Venum, which somewhat helped, I'd see that more developed. But when I developed a rash on the bottom calf of my left leg, which I scratched so badly one night that I had drawn blood everywhere I knew it was time to see someone. I was referred to Kara Mann, PA at Reading Dermatology. After I gave the history of these, foreign to me, growths & rash to he MA, Kara came in with what to me looked like a smaller type propane tank, but in fact it was a ?Propane? tank that froze the things on my legs which dried them up & they all fell off in about 2 weeks & are gone!! Mind you there are marks where they were, which will fade in time. I returned for my 6 week check up, had something on my neck blasted, & now she's sending me for a full body skin scan. I'm so very pleased to have gone here but even more please to have found Kara Mann, PA for whom is treating me.

What is not acceptable is the way your receptionist handled the situation. She was told, "Your appointment is in 10 minutes, you need to figure it out," and was rudely dismissed when she asked to call me for help, and was spoken to in a sarcastic, condescending tone when confirming her phone number. At no point was she treated with patience, professionalism, or basic courtesy. She was irritated that this check it wasn't going smoothly. Front desk staff are often the first point of contact, and how they speak to patients, especially young adults who are still learning matters. My daughter left feeling embarrassed and uncomfortable before even seeing a provider, and that should never happen in a medical setting. While some of the reviews state that the staff was kind, which maybe some are, the person we dealt with needs re-trained on being respectful to patients, or advised to not customer service roles.

I had a horrible experience with a previous dermatologist, but after one appointment with him, the doctor had an aggressive strategy laid out that cleared up my complexion within a year. The major downside to Dr. McCausland is that every time I saw him, I had to wait for about an hour after my appointment time, like clockwork. You can probably chalk that up to the demand for his medical expertise.
