Had a new fridge put in and the guys who put in the new fridge said they couldn't touch the water line of the old fridge and that the valve from the wall needed to be replaced so that the water line from the new fridge could be connected, and to call plumbers for that. We called them and they arrived an hour earlier than their estimated time range. Long story short, the plumber guy said replacing the valve in the wall wasn't necessary and the hose from the valve could be connected to the new fridge. He said this to me like I was a moron, which I don't know much about plumbing, so I'm probably a moron when it comes to that stuff. But the way he said it and looked at me rubbed me the wrong way. He then puts a fitting thing on the fridge hose and connects it to the valve hose coming from the wall. It takes him maybe a minute to do this. He tells me it's gonna cost $340 or something close to that. I ask why so much for having done so little, he said he had to drive forty minutes and says it like it makes total sense and I'm the idiot for asking such a stupid question. I will never use their services again.

Which I just bought 2 weeks ago so money isn't overflowing. The only issues I had was the price, it was $555.00 to replace the heating element (a $30 part although they spent 2 hours) and/including a 3% charge ($16.00) using my debt card. I know this is a common practice but had I know I would have gone to the bank. The price was awfully high and although the guys were good and did get my hot water back, I will have to search around next time if I can wait on the issue.

Pretty disappointed by our experience with Stuart's. We called for a toilet that won't flush…read moreappropriately. The plumber augered the toilet to clear the material in the bowl but failed to diagnose the root cause of the problem. The toilet will not flush appropriately and the plumber stated that the toilet was 10-15 years old and would need to be replaced. The flushing mechanism in his opinion had been updated and he couldn't get replacement parts for it. However the toilet was made in 2018. "All" toilets have a date stamp for their manufacture and our toilet was not an exception. With that, there is a sticker on the lid with all the replacement part information. If the plumber had spent some actual time diagnosing the problem they may have noticed that the gurgling is a symptom of a clogged vent pipe. We also had an issue last minute where our not in service sprinkler system had failed and was running constantly. When we moved in the previous owner had removed the timer and sprinkler control box leaving the sprinkler heads and control valves. For some reason one of the zones control valves failed open. The plumber did not try to diagnose the problem and instead tried to tell my girlfriend that the timer must have failed and would be in the garage somewhere. Luckily our lawn guy was able to send a irrigation person to find the control valve and shut it manually. Unfortunately I was at work and not able to help give direction but why should a paid professional need to be coached through troubleshooting their specialty.
