When Greg showed up he wanted to look at the thermostat, and I mentioned that the fan never stops blowing. He went to the unit and started working and within an hour he had the heater working just by replacing a circuit board and fan relay. I contacted this business, Speedy Tech Services (who advertise on TV as being not only veteran…read moreowned but woman owned) about flushing my tankless hot water heater and was quoted $90 forthis service plus they would do a free all home inspection of all plumbing. The inspection revealed 12 shut off valves recommended for replacement which I authorized and was shocked to receive a sketchy, non-detailed invoice for $$1,673.00 which did not include an itemized list of charges. I asked the Tech for such an invoice but was told I would have to contact his office to obtain it. I foolishly went ahead and made payment thinking I would be provided with an itemized invoice. When this did not occucr, I called called and talked to Manager named Mark on/about May 20, 2026 and asked for an itemized invoice showing exactly how they derived this amount. Mark told me he would mail me an itemized invoice and I gave him my mailing address. No itemized invoice was received. Here's why I think this charge was totally unfair and that Speedy Tech took advantage of a retired Army veteran. I priced 12 like valves at Lowes at average cost of $20 each which equals $240.00. I then added a 30% markup to this cost amounting to $312.00. Adding the $90 for tankless hot water heater flush to this brings total to $402.00. Deducting $402.00 from $1673 leaves $1271 which I can only assume to be labor cost. The Technician was on my property for approx. 3 1/2 hours total. Giving him credit for 4 hours divided into this $1271 implies the labor cost per hour was $317.75. Based on this and without any detailed invoice from Speedy Tech Services, I am very unhappy about the outcome. They will not receive any recommendation from me to any of my many friends and acquaintances. Don't be fooled (like I did) by this business or any other who uses the "bait and switch" to overcharge you by using a "free inspection service" as the bait; which doesn't cost anything; and a friendly, seemingly competent technician to set the hook. Had this business provided what I asked for e.g. an itemized invoice showing exactly how the $1,673.00 charge was derived, I most likely would not have been upset. Royal A. He discussed how using auto mode, though a convenient feature of a thermostat, can be hard on a coil. Switching modes via auto can reverse the pressures too quickly for the thin coil piping. I asked why I was paying for his travel to come to my house from the office, (I was his 1st job), no answer. I was told I had to wait for someone in the office to call me. About 30 minutes later I received a call and explained this situation to be told, they'd refund me money. I didn't mind paying the trip charge like I was told but I did mind paying for 30 minutes of travel he was claiming, again I was told I would be refunded. So I am waiting for a refund!

Kielty Plumbing, Heating & Cooling was a positive one -- but unfortunately, it was far from it. I needed to coordinate a plumber for a seller who had already moved out of state to South Carolina. The home is vacant, and we discovered a minor leak in the laundry room near the washer hookup as well as an issue with the main water shut‑off valve. R.J. Kielty came out during the week, gave us a quote, and assured us they'd order the parts and be back on Friday to complete the work. Friday came... and in the middle of the day, we got a call saying the parts weren't in and they wouldn't be out until Monday. That was frustrating, but we waited. When they did finally come out, they only sent the sellers a photo of a small portion of the work they did in the laundry room. When I personally went to the home to inspect, I was shocked. There was a massive hole cut in the laundry room wall -- and in the process of removing the drywall, they had carelessly ripped off large sections of paint. They never disclosed this to the seller, and simply left it that way, knowing full well the home is getting ready to go on the market. When the seller called them, the plumber simply said, "I don't do drywall, there's nothing I can do." No apology, no offer to make it right. As someone who prides herself on connecting clients with trustworthy vendors, I'm incredibly disappointed. Not only was the schedule pushed and communication poor, but the lack of care -- and the fact that they took advantage of the seller being out of state -- is unacceptable. I cannot recommend R.J.
