Despite taking care of my teeth regularly, I hadn't seen a dentist since moving back to the area in 2018 due to lack of dental insurance. The practice didn't have any of my dental history, so it only made sense that that they would need to do full x-rays, which was really thorough using quite advanced technology. The x-rays even appeared on a TV screen during my cleaning for assessment by an amazing dental hygienist, Brittany, who performed my cleaning on the level of a spa treatment (it seriously felt amazing). I then met the wonderful Dr. Jessica Brown who reviewed the cleaning as well as my x-rays and asked me some questions about whether my gum recession caused me any issues (80's child scrubber here) and even empathized that she deals with the same issue and recommended Sensodyne if it ever gives me a problem. Everyone was extremely friendly and knowledgable, and the conversation was fun and enjoyable. For full x-rays and a cleaning my dentist submitted a $252 claim to my insurance which covered everything except for $100; this was expected based on the provider being out-of-network and doing my research before my visit. I chose this place due to its close proximity to where I live and the positive word-of-mouth reviews from other Evansville residents, and I couldn't be happier. Don't believe the haters, this place is amazing with even more advanced technology than my previous dentist in Washington, DC. It's like spa day for your mouth, you won't regret it.

They have quite a few tables and chairs with each space separated by some thin curtain (you can see it in the pictures you have posted) so there's not a super amount of privacy during the clothes on massage, but they keep it dark. The massage itself was so good, the perfect amount of firmness, gentle yet effective in relieving my tired muscles. Definitely stop in for a massage! At $30 for an hour you really can't beat it! They do have other more extensive massages that are cost more however the prices are still pretty standard.

My first Chinese foot massage in Evansville (recently moved here from the Pacific Northwest where…read morethis type of massage abounds). I looked up places and randomly chose this one to try first --- not withstanding the negative reviews. The spa is in a small business strip, next door to Mike's car wash and it seriously lacks curb appeal....however, we all know that some of the best experiences can come from hole-in-the-wall places, so the outside appearance doesn't turn me off but it might you. The entrance brings you into a tight front room that is both cramped and fussy. A young woman with limited English skills welcomed me but was not able to help me with my questions. She quickly got another woman (seemingly a manager at least, if not the owner) who was able to understand what I wanted. The confusion, for me, is how the menu of services is laid out -- let me explain. In my experience (in both China and the west coast), a Chinese "foot massage" starts with a foot soak and while you're soaking the masseuse massages your head, shoulders and arms. Then the foot tub is taken away and your feet and legs are worked on. In China you sit in a chair the whole time but in the West you flip over and your back gets a work out. This is all done fully clothed. So...at this spa there's the combo, that follows what I have just described, but then there's a separate section that also has combos that list foot and body services. People started coming in while I was trying to figure out what service I wanted (forgot to say: I was a 2:00 walk-in on a Tuesday), so I just chose the familiar service, and never did figure out the difference in service. The small space behind the screen that separates the entrance way and service area is darkened and separated by gauzy curtains. There were sections with big, comfy chairs that recline, and others with tables. In the back there's a clean bathroom. So. My masseuse was the young lady who had first greeted me. Although her English, and my Mandarin, was limited I was able to communicate what I needed in terms of water temperature, recline angle and pressure. Some people might be put off with her inability to speak English --- and to those people I say: stay away. If you are patient and kind then you will be fine here. The massage was straight forward and what I expected until it was time to flip on my (rather large ;-)) tummy. The masseuse closed the curtain on the walkway section and then asked me to take off my top. This was a first for me. Um, I politely declined. And she did just fine finishing my back massage. So here's the breakdown of my 4 stars: this place takes walk-ins when they can (Chinese foot massage has taken the place of a pedicure or manicure when I've got an extra hour and want to relax); it's well located near Eastland mall; it's reasonably clean (I always look at how a bathroom is kept); and my service was ONLY $35! If you buy a package, the price goes down. It got dinged a star because it wasn't a stellar massage just a nice one. If you have never had a Chinese foot massage I would recommend you try one (and this place is just fine) and you might just change up your relaxation "go to" fix too. I'm looking forward to trying the other spas in Evansville!

I flew in to Evansville with a single braided style that needed repair. A majority of my hair is in…read morecornrows, with just the top in single braids. The braids were uneven, coming undone, and in the wrong style. It was supposed to be an angled bob. I found the shop online and booked with the Vagaro app for Monday July 3rd at 12:15 pm. The owner reached out to me and clarified what I wanted done to the hair, and confirmed the 12:15 appointment. On July 3rd, the owner called me to asked if I could come in early, because she had to leave the shop. While that was not ideal, I did understand that things come up. When I got to the shop the owner started my hair after finishing a client (so why come in early if I am going to have to wait). After taking down the top of my hair down, she passed me on to her sister, who did not speak English. While that is okay, it would have been good to know that when I booked the appointment. I might have gone somewhere else. I shared the photo of the hair I wanted with the owner and her sister, who spent the entire time on the phone not looking at the picture. As she was working on preparing the crochets, she was trying to burn the ends and kept burning my neck. Again, chatting on the phone is not the way to do hair. Eventually the owner returned and asked me if I was happy. I stated I was not. The end result was me almost in tears because the long braids in the front had been cut shorter than the picture I requested. The braids around the sides were uneven, with some burnt and others in rubber bands. After stating I wanted to cry and I was unhappy, they attempted to fix the braids. The owner tried to blame it on the other hairdresser who had initially done my braids. I stated I wanted them to hurry up so I can leave. I ended up fixing the braids myself, after they started to come apart. I will not go here ever again.

I got small knotless, so that was extremely fast. The last time i went, which was the last time because of new rules i didn't know of, was something else. Now, they charge you for having "too thick" of hair. This rule wasnt written online or mentioned over our phone conversation. 30 extra random dollars for a hair style that was almost 30% done. Then she charged another person extra for having too little hair, since she had a low cut. They're rough with your hair and don't use clean tools. Go here for convenience but don't expect good customer service.
