In Venice at the five star Bauer Palazzo Hotel, through Nancy's efforts we stayed 3 nights for the price of 2 as well as an upgraded suite. She also arranged for a private water taxi from the Venice airport to the Hotel. A couple at the Venice Airport saw the itinerary and vouchers that Nancy had provided us and stated they had never seen such a detailed and easy to use packet and wished their Travel Agent provided something like this. Because of Nancy & Lon we have been fortunate to meet 100's of wonderful people on these trips. I've used Sun Tours & Travel for a decade arranging personal trips designed by their very competent staff as well as package tours, some escorted by Nancy & Lon. Travel has always been paramount in my life and this agency is truly first rate. Over the years my wife and I have traveled using several other Honolulu travel agencies and, unless a very unique itinerary is offered, we will always choose Sun Tours & Travel first. They have even coordinated with other agencies as needed for our journeys. If I'm using reward points or making bookings on my own they will always advise me if I'm getting a better value than they can provide. My husband and I have been working with Sun Tours and Travel for 20+ years. In the capacity of both Business and Leisure travel. We have not had a single bad experience with Nancy, Lon and their wonderful staff. We have gone to 20+ countries with this company...Land and Air, Cruises, Safari's, Tours you name it. Each and every day proved to be epic. But, their service does not start when you board the plane. It starts a year + in advance. Proposals, cost comparisons, fees, Insurance, briefing, our opinions...I can go on and on about the interaction with Nancy and Lon prior to making a commitment and a deposit. The deck of cards are put on the table and WE CHOOSE what is best for us and collectively as a group. Prior to COVID we were scheduled on an Oceania cruise. The Cruise Line cancelled. WE DID NOTHING! Nancy and Lon processed all refunds and we were reimbursed quickly and efficiently. Were there hidden fees? ABSOLUTELY NOT! In fact, we were advised to retain our deposit for future use and we are doing a cruise in October, 2022 and our balance is pennies due to the smart hold on the previous payment. If you really want a agent who Specializing in getting a complete package without any worries or complications after your vacation begins, Trust Nancy and Lon. We have been customers of Sun Tours for over 20 years, been to Asia, Africa, Europe, Australia, New Zealand and to the South Pacifi We have albums of pictures from every trip and still remain the best of friends. There has never been a moment that when we arrived at the airport, and had to worry about connecting flights or getting transportation to meet our Cruise Line. We have traveled with Sun Tours & Travel for many years & have enjoyed being on Nancy & Lon's tours! Nancy does a GREAT job of giving us the best deals & explaining all the details of the trips, costs & options! She always recommends getting travel insurance to protect her clients & their travel investments! We know of other travelers who have benefitted from having the travel insurance! Nancy & Lon work very hard to provide the BEST vacations for us & their customers! During COVID we had a cruise scheduled to Japan in 2021 which was a fantastic deal! There were lower cruise costs & more credits offered due to COVID. But the cruise line rescheduled the trip to 2022. They then cancelled the 2022 trip & rescheduled it to 2024!!! We asked Nancy about the possibility of getting a refund, & she explained to us the "pros & cons" of it. After hearing this, we decided to stay w/ the future cruise in 2024 as the costs & benefits would remain the same as the 2021 cruise inspite of future increasing costs in 2024. I can't imagine booking anything without Nancy Eastlund at Sun Tours & Travel. Nancy and her staff, including husband Lon, have been taking care of all of the travel needs for ourselves and our family for.........eons - maybe 25 years? Anyway, they all really know their stuff and will go 1,000 yards to make sure your flight/tour/cruise/acommodations/whatever are the best and most economical available. Nancy typically spends hours (how many?) on our bookings, searching out the best routing and cheapest fares she can find. Never mind that their booking fee is minimal. She works tirelessly into the night to make us happy and could charge 3 times as much for her time and I'd still be happy. (No, Nancy, you don't HAVE to charge us more!!) We've been on several escorted tours with Sun Tours, with Nancy & Lon guiding us and 20-50 other happy passengers to the best attractions & sights along the way. They research local guides, searching out individuals that will make our experience perfect. Nothing but praise for Nancy and her staff for meeting our travel needs. I am a wheelchair customer of Sun Tours since 2008 and Nancy and her staff are always mindful of my accessibility and mobility issues when booking our travel. I am always confident that I will enjoy a hotel/cabin room which meets all the ADA requirements as well as visit recommended sites which can accommodate my needs. Nancy is especially excellent when unexpected interruptions occur during our travel. When an airline canceled our flight and made us return the next day only to find that our plane was taken out of service due to mechanical reasons, Nancy insured that all 55+ of our group were re-booked on other airlines to reach our initial destination. We had to split into two separate groups. This took hours of her bouncing between tickets counters to accommodate all of our needs. My wife and I first met Nancy and Lon, who own Sun Tours, in 2017. They organized and personally led us among a large group of tourists on a dream tour to South Africa. The tour was going great until the strong man in charge of Mozambique decided not to meet our cruise ship at the port. That is, absolutely nobody came to greet us, and everybody had to stay onboard We had a full ship of steamed passengers. However, our group had a great advantage. We just completed a cruise to Alaska where all details were extremely well coordinated. Our travel agent was able to find an excellent hotel just one block from where we would board the ship. The hotel was a beautiful hotel with only suites that were very large. The price was exceptional considering a world champion soccer game was also in town and most hotels were twice the amount.
