Tours were very interesting due to the knowledge of the guides. Dave also made KTX train and flight reservations. He placed us in 4 star hotels that were in convenient areas. I highly recommend him for your South Korean trip itinerary.

And if he didn't have the answer, he would get it...and fast! He was patient, yet firm when it came to deadlines so we wouldn't lose out on seats, reservations etc. Dave's communication tops the cake! I never felt frustrated having to wait for a response from him. He always answered promptly. At times, we would be texting back and forth until one of us would just call. Initially, I told Dave I wanted to travel to Alaska and Leavenworth this past December 2021. Cruises were all booked, but Dave was able to quickly coordinate airline reservations for the 5 of us! He put together an itinerary within 5 days of our first phone call. It was filled with activities that I wouldn't have even thought about booking! Later, when I looked at all the brochures for Alaska, they advertised all of those same activities Dave planned out for us! Among these were viewing Aurora Borealis, dog sledding, ice fishing, snowmobiling, going to a reindeer ranch, and riding in a sleeper car on an Amtrak train! Dave is so meticulous too! He included shuttles, links to other things we could do i.e. museums, restaurants, etc. And the scheduling of each day worked out perfectly. I wouldn't have known how much to schedule in a day in Alaska. Only when we got there did we realize daylight was only about 4 hours, and much of the activities were scheduled during the dark hours. Of course traveling to Alaska during the winter comes with its own set of problems. And Dave was there through the entire trip. I actually felt bad that he had to rebook tours, shuttles, airline flights for us during our trip bc of all the severe winter weather storms that impeded traffic. But he did it with such kindness and willingness. We are so grateful to Dave for his expertise, knowledge, advice, and willingness to go above and beyond to help us have the best trip! Dave is no longer just our travel agent...he is our friend.

He was hilarious, full of fascinating stories, and somehow managed to make every bathroom stop feel like part of the adventure. The views were jaw-dropping: Diamond Head glowing in the morning sun, waves crashing at Halona Blowhole, and those movie-perfect cliffs near Kualoa Ranch. Dirk kept us entertained between stops with island legends, trivia, and a soundtrack that could make even a restroom break feel cinematic. Leonard's malasadas? Heavenly. Macadamia nut farm snacks? Dangerous in the best way. Tanaka's garlic shrimp? Worth every bite and every burp. Turtle Beach was the crown jewel--relaxing, peaceful, and filled with lazy sea turtles living their best lives. Dirk's timing was perfect, his humor was infectious, and his love for the island made every mile memorable. I laughed, I learned, I ate too much, and I never once regretted it. If you want a full day of Oahu beauty, good vibes, and an expert guide who'll keep you smiling and on schedule, this is the tour. Mahalo, Dirk, you're the real MVP of island adventures!

The admission to the museum was pricey, even for Kama'aina, so we opted to get the Family Membership instead. The membership was for 2 adults and up to 4 kids, and also has discounts for other exhibits. After a quick sweep through the museum, and a wary observation of the flight simulator, the grandson decided it was time to eat. I got the Blue Angels Burger and he got the kids hot dog meal. I'd say the prices were reasonable, considering how much takeout and restaurant food costs these days. The burger was fat as hell and the dog wasn't Costco sized but definitely satisfied the kid. I didn't get pics of the food because I was too enthralled over the size of the patty! We spent the day also visiting the Mighty Mo, the Virtual Reality tour, and gift shop shopping also.

In my opinion the Aviation Museum was one of the cooler stops on our trip. I really enjoyed all the different types of planes and carriers they had on display. We also ate Lunch at the Cafe in the Aviation Museum and the food was delicious! The bus picked us up from the USS Missouri and dropped us off at the Aviation Museum, there was a short line to check in at the front desk of the museum before you could enter the inside portion of the museum. They had a flight simulator inside the internal museum as well as a gift shop and restaurant. The Hangar still had the original bullet holes in the glass from the Pearl Harbor attack which was a really neat part of history to be able see. They also have a section where they are restoring some planes and helicopter parts. My favorite thing they had was this wood paneled plane in the hangar. They also had some old Military trucks out front of the hangar that were really cool. I highly recommend visiting the Aviation Museum while at Pearl Harbor.
