They do not deserve any stars. Booked a tour and it got canceled. The tour was canceled 1 month prior to the departure date and they did not give us a full refund. There's hidden fees, they charge for getting a refund. Other travel agencies have given full refunds without any hassle. read more

My family and I had a trip planned to do this tour but unfortunately due to the weather we had to cancel. We are from Texas and are not accustomed to driving in mountains during a rain storm. I called about 20 times and left a voicemail for someone to return my call and they never reached out. I also emailed them and still didn't receive no response. Finally I was able to speak with someone and informed of the situation and he stated he didn't think we could get a refund or even credit but he would speak with his supervisor and get back to me. The tour was for this morning 6/9 and I still haven't heard back. There policy states they will refund you if you inform them 7 days in advance but when I checked the weather it was clear until 3 days before. I don't recommend this tour due to the poor customer device and lack of communication. read more

i seen an ad in indeed.com, I inquired and applied for the job. job stated $35000-$50,000, but Inwas offered $14.50/hr. mind you the managerial skills, administrative and accounting skills, my sales and marketing skills, etc... I was offered a pay so low. I I requested for salary and a different start date. they increased it .50! so, I got an interview. met with owners...nice people..interview lasted 2 hours. which I wasn't paid for my time. we had a potential start date. mentioned a few topics to be concerned about. owner got personal with there past issues with why the company is no longer employed with the current employees and why they flee. I put a second request for my salary to be at least $35,000 as it stated in the ad the pay was $35000-$50000. they said it would be included in the commission. Then I got schooled on how I DONT KNOW HOW TO DO THIS AND I DONT KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT TRAVEL. mind you I graduated from a a travel school and have been educated. I also work for HotelPlanner.com as a independent contractor. sounds to me like I have plenty of useful information and I could come in very handy. long story short, I asked for what I was worth and she wasn't even trying to meet me half way which tells me the only concern is money. They can't afford to pay and take care of there workers. how do you tell me that you can make potential income with this job but only pay me $14.50/hr and she expects me to care for my kids and pay my bills. with this $14.50/hr job in Hawaii? common. rent cost $1500+ for a 1 bedroom. that's the income you want to pay me. I can get a better paying job somewhere else then risk my time working for someone who only wants me to sell for them. im done. read more

Nancy and her husband Lon have the only premier travel agency in Hawaii. Along with their top notch team you couldn't be in better hands. I have been doing business with them for years. She planned the cruise around the islands for my family reunion and trust me when you have almost 30 individuals traveling from 8 different states that's no small feat. She even arranged a tour of the ship beforehand, so that I could check out the different cabins. She also setup tours for all the different islands. Everyone had a fantastic experience. In 2012 she planned a two week Mediterranean cruise for myself and a couple of my girlfriends. Everything from airfares to arranging private tours in every country we had a port call. We flew in into Barcelona 5 days before the cruise and Nancy booked a hotel in the center of town within walking distance to many of the local sites and restaurants. She arranged the same thing when we decided to spend a couple of days in Venice after the cruise before heading back to Oahu. That was a trip we will never forget thanks to the months of planning and effort she personally put in. I am now in the process of planning an Alaskan cruise for my birthday celebration in September of 2015, As a matter of fact I just got off the phone booking my cabin. I recently was looking for tickets into Osaka with a return out of Haneda or Narita using the travel search engines but afrer reviewing Yelp and reading reviews, I decided to give Sun Tours a call. The reason, I wasn't satisfied with the flights using the search engines and the long layovers and having to change terminals (International vs Domestic) but Angela had direct flights for my family into Osaka and a direct flight out of Haneda within a few hours. As I was planning a complicated (first time) trip from Maui to Australia, I couldn't help but wish that I had a travel agent to help me. I didn't even know if they still "existed" but then I found Sun Tours & Travel listed on the Australia.com website! I was happy just to actually find someone in Hawaii (they are in Aiea on Oahu), but to have Nancy Eastlund turn out to be the best I've ever worked with was a bonus! Nancy knew all about Australia -- from getting there to getting around -- and she started helping from the moment she answered the phone. I am not a "typical tourist" and she tailored the trip to MY needs with just enough organized tours for knowledge and getting acclimated while allowing most of my time free to explore on my own. She was always available to answer questions; the hotel locations she suggested were perfect; and she kept me well within budget without sacrificing convenience or comfort. I was SO happy to have her take care of the "big stuff" (hotels. airfare, transfers, tours) so I could concentrate on "little stuff" like buying an international phone, checking internet accessibility, finding a no-fee credit card, etc., but she also helped with those, offering suggestions and even taking care of my Australian Visa! *** She provided insight and experience, knew where things were, and addressed my specific "agenda" of concert-going in each city! She booked all my airport shuttles in advance so I never had to worry about how I was going to get to my hotel or the airport and got the best prices on everything. "THE BOOK" she compiled was my bible containing all my vouchers, information about hotel amenities, flight times, and airport transportation. It included maps of the hotel surrounding areas and how to get to theatres -- either by walking or public transportation. It was all done efficiently with genuine interest and care for my needs. I felt like I had a friend who had been to Australia that I could talk to about guiding and helping me with my trip. No request was too big or too small and with as many trips as Nancy has booked, as many travelers as she worked with, I know she was (almost) as excited about my trip as I was -- she was certainly excited FOR me and I was grateful to have been in such expert hands from start to finish. *** I was reluctant to buy travel insurance, but Nancy highly recommended that I use Travel Guard who not only provided concierge services both before and (with a toll-free international #) during my trip, but when I turned out to have a claim for lost head phones, I got a reimbursement check immediately! Awesome Agents here at Sun Tours and Travel. I major shopped around for a reasonable package for a party of 6 to Disneyland 2018. I called Sun Tours and spoke with Gisela who took down my info and needs of the trip, such as a business center that is a MUST etc., speaking with her on the phone was already an A+. She got back to me asap and got everything I asked for and did not go over the amount I capped myself at. Gisela did look for the most reasonable airfares and hotels and got me I would say the best as I shopped around at the same time and airfares where ridiculous. Anyhow I went to Sun and Tours to make that payment as I do not like to do over the phone. I arrived at Sun and Tours located in Aiea and met Gisela and two other ladies who where very welcoming and not one of them where without a smile on their face. These ladies where so pleasant that I actually paid for my package and sat there for I swear more then I should have and just talked to story and laughed, like we where friends having coffee, Lol.
