My husband and I stayed in glamping tent 1. It was lovely and included a full bed and all linens and pillows, yoga supplies, chairs and small table indoors, dog kennel, outdoor chairs and small table, fire extinguisher, cooler, propane fire pit/grill, solar lights, wood fire pit, battery operated fan, propane heater, and large power supply. All we had to bring was food, ice, dinnerware, clothing and toiletries. They also supply a trash bin. Bathroom is very close walk and dish washing station and outdoor shower is also close. The other tent is a nice distance away so its very private. The water falls are so close you hear them all night which was great to sleep. I highly recommend this site. The staff was absolutely lovely every time we interacted. I almost think I might never bother going anywhere else. The downsides: one outdoor chair was broken but we had brought our own. I wish there was a broom in the tent. The bathroom light works by solar and doesn't seem to last long so you need to bring a flashlight. It's a walking campground, which is great but the tent sites are quite a hike away from the pool and store and it's uphill so that can be challenging for some. I will definitely go here again, it was a lovely trip. Well done! They also left a folder in the tent with emergency numbers and local places which was a nice touch. read more

Great campground! My large family and I recently spent the holiday weekend there. It was a huge and beautiful campground with many permanent campers. My only critique is that I wished the pool was larger, but honestly none of the kids seemed to care. Also the $.25 shower was a major flashback to the 80s, but always had hot water! The waterfall was definitely the highlight! The overlook at the back of the campground was peaceful and beautiful. The staff and owners went out of their way to accommodate us and make sure that we we're happy. We will happily rebook for next year! read more

Where to begin well I'll start by saying that I was originally having my daughters graduation and going off to boot camp party 1 week earlier and somewhere else, but work got in the way and we had to reschedule for Saturday the 15th. So I was rushing around to find a new place to have her party and this is the 3rd child I have sent off with a party and all of them have wanted to camp out. I called and said I am having a graduation party at least 5 or 6 times and would like to pay for 2 cabins they put me down for it. I paid the down payment and went about getting everything in order, I called the Thursday before and paid the remaining balance once again stated I am having a party for my daughter. Let me say that my other kids have had parties at The Almond Damn where all the public is welcome and they don't have to pay to get in as visitors. So I had no idea that I need to let my family know they had to pay to get in. So on Friday I am cooking food getting everything ready I go up around 3ish to get the keys and fill out my paperwork. When I get there I tell them I have reserved cabins 5 and 2 and I'm the one THROWING A PARTY for my daughter. At no point did they tell me that if I have no than the people in the cabins there that they have to pay to get in. If they had I would have paid before I would have got a solid number of people coming and had all of it written down and taken care of before hand. The ONLY information I had to give was how many were staying in the cabins and how many cars we had ( the ones staying in the cabins). So we get the keys and go up to the cabins, when we get there the woman in the next cabin is staring at us uncomfortably so and I am not sure why. We literally just drove up with the guide. The whole time were checking out the cabins and unloading things the woman is still staring and giving us dirty and rude looks. When my daughter and I got back in the car she looked at me and said damn mom what was that. I found out later she was mad she wanted the cabins I had rented. My daughter brings up the second load of things and is stopped because ''someone'' called and said we had fireworks. The fireworks were a gift for her graduation and she asked me about them I said not a chance that we were not allowed so her plan was to put them back in the car. So already were being turned in for things that are not real things. She calls me and said we were yelled at for the fireworks and I asked did you let them know were not using them. She said yeah we told her that they were going back in the car and not getting used. I have never been to a private camp ground before so I had no idea that people that visit have to pay. The one paper that I have said that they had to register another said I had to pay extra for people STAYING. None of the extra people there were staying they were only there for the party. The party which I told them at least 20 times I was having. Never at any point did they say well you have to pay for visitors NOT ONCE. So I had a couple of people give attitude because they had to pay ( of course they are going to because they didn't know). So they send someone up to get me to kick me out. So now I'm hysterically crying cause I'm upset that we are getting kicked out and I'm confused because I had no idea that people had to pay. The owner is saying all of your people are giving me attitude and I don't like it but it was only 2 people and I had like 35 people that had PAID to be there including the people I had originally paid for 10 adult's, 4 teenagers. So then I talk to the owner and I'm so hysterical because I don't understand whats happening that she lets it go. Yeah I can have her party and relax now. Nope I am so paranoid that were going to do something else wrong and get kicked out that I don't have any fun I'm just cleaning up after everyone the entire time. She comes back later to bitch about water balloons and someone said we were someone said we were smoking weed ( we have like 10 cigarette smokers and like 10 more vaper's) . I had already been going after everyone cleaning up the water balloons because I'm scared to death that my kid isn't going to be able to enjoy herself. So then I go thru everyone stuff to make sure there is no weed and there isn't (so still not having any fun oh and I haven't eaten anything either). They also have informed me that everyone extra has to leave at 9 pm. By this time I am all the way over it and have decided that even tho I paid for the whole weekend were all leaving that I am not going to be treated like I am white trash because I don't look the part they like, that they can have my money and when my daughter comes back from boot camp we will throw another party at Almond Damn. I have never been so disrespected in my entire life and I still had the common courtesy to clean up and make the place look like it did when we got there. read more

Camp staff very stand off ish unless the are yelling at a 15 yr old boy who is small in stature threatening him they are going to take his bike cause he does not have a helmet on (NY law states individuals over 14 helmet is up to their discretion) or a 10 year old who saved his money for months and loses 3 dollars in their defective claw machine and they won't give him his money back. Skinny older lady with the black eye is a complete b i t c h! I doubt we will be back. So many other places to go and spend my hard earned money that have a professional staff!! Had to pay for showers ! Over crowded. Small sites. Just not worth it. read more

My boyfriend and I went here for the first time this weekend. I must say the staff and other campers are amazingly wonderful and friendly, and the area is so beautiful. When we were driving up, the owner was nice enough to call about our ETA, and when I stated it would still be about an hour, she explained the office was closing, but they would leave the key to the cabin outside for me, as well as explaining how to get to the cabin. When we got there, she not only left the key, but also attached a map and marked our path to it. Driving through to our cabin, we saw all of the camping trailers that, upon asking the next morning, are kept there year round. The grounds are meticulously kept, and they allow the campers who keep their trailers there to personalize their site! We saw plants, gazebos, dance floors, wooden outhouses, etc. The cabin itself was SO clean. It was built sturdy and it was so cute. It had one bed and a set of bunk beds, as well as a mini fridge (the cabins have power only). The cabin was built on a small stream and across the stream is acres of woods. If you walk one of the trails, it leads to a BEAUTIFUL waterfall, where upon speaking to an employee at the small store in front (they have so many supplies at cheap prices), the regular campers, on hot days, will take their camping chairs and sit in the shallow runoff. This is a definite area to check out and hang out at! These campgrounds are roughly 1.5 hours from Buffalo, NY, and it was definitely worth the drive! It was the most relaxing weekend I have experienced, and we will definitely be making another visit to here soon! read more

I attended a graduation party at this camping grounds and everybody was very rude. All that attended the graduation party were very friendly and respectful and we continuously had problems with the neighbors telling us we were breaking "camp ground rules". As far as road travel through the camp grounds numerous people came out and stood in front of my vehicle to tell me I was going to fast when I in fact was not. Multiple staff in golf carts were rude and continuously made things that we were not doing into a problem. When explained to front desk we are holding a graduation party for a young lady who leaves to serve our country in the United States Marines was told "big deal". Just got back from a three night stay at this campground. It was our first time here and we were blown away by how nice this place is. It is one of the best maintained private campgrounds we've been to. They had great activities for kids on the weekend and everyone we talked to from the owners, to the employees, to the seasonal residents, were extremely friendly and helpful. There is a fishing pond with small creeks running throughout the property and a short hiking trail which takes you to a beautiful waterfall. There are approx 230 sites with more than half of them being seasonal, but this is by no means a trailer park. It is a great place for families or just a quiet getaway. However, if you are the type that wants to get drunk and loud with a bunch of your buddies, this is not the place for you. They have rules, and they enforce them. That's what makes this place so nice. If you want to get rowdy, there's plenty of other choices around for you. read more
