Now as an adult I can appreciate it even more! There are plenty of trails to explore by foot or bike. If that's not your speed, you can rent the paddle boats or a canoe to go around Rabbit Island, go fishing, or go for a dip in the lake. It's a nice quiet campground and coming from the city, you can really see the stars out there! If tent camping or RV camping isn't your thing, you can go glamping and rent one of their cabins. They're perfect to enjoy with some family or friends (I've done both on a few occasions). Bonus- you get your own shower, toilet and a fully functional kitchen! But you'll have to book them early as they can go fast! My family has long ties with the Bull family and they are truly amazing people! Definitely book a weekend (or a season) with Camp Arrowhead!

Luxury Cabin Review!…read more We stayed 2 nights in cabin 23A, June 13-15. We were taking a road trip (from Indiana) and during our research came across Letchworth State Park. We really wanted to spend some time hiking there so we set out to find a place to stay. We searched for AirBnB's and hotels, but couldn't really find what we were looking for, then came across Woodstream. We have active boys and this was prefect for our family. The cabin was even better than the website pictures. It had 2 AC units and they cooled very quickly. Our boys loved the bunkbeds with privacy curtain and built in nooks, lights and outlets. They even had their own windows! That was such a fun space for them. We did do some limited cooking and it was equipped with everything we needed. We stopped for s'more supplies on the way there and realized we didn't pack our sticks. We were pleasantly supplies that the cabin had them! There was storage for our luggage and bags under the beds as well as cubby space. The fire ring was so cute and we all loved lounging in the adorondak chairs around the fire. My boys loved playing in the creek. We were too busy at Letchworth and our own site to try out the golf course and pool, but when we checked in there were many people enjoying both. We would definitely recommend this place and stay here again!

We were supposed to be on a buddy site with family. The buddy site is set up as a group site not a…read morebuddy site. The fire pit placement is completed whacked. Looks like someone was playing jarts and where ever it landed is where they placed the pit. A previous review said they had new cabins, I didn't see any as we drove around in the golf cart. Maybe they are remodeled on the inside but the outside hasn't been touched in what looks like 40 years. There are not many weekend camp spots, it is mostly all seasonal. I'm talking multiple sheds on sites along with decks and large canopy's. There are some amenities. Fitness center but you have to be 18 to use (very strict on the age). If you have young kids the playground is quite nice, I'd say even better than some KOA's we've been to. There is also a place to fish, a pool and a beach with swimming. The showers were disappointing, no chair or bench to sit on. Do you know what it's like hopping around on one foot on a slippery floor trying to put your underwear on, next to impossible. The water was nice and hot but you had to press the know every 3 seconds. Golf cart rental $68 per day Wood bundle $10 each Quiet hours start at 10p.

The place is nice. It's clean and well maintained. We are "lake side" which is funny because it's…read morenot a lake. It's a small pond. It's stocked so that was nice for fishing. We are camping in our RV. My only real issue is the ridiculous two adult pool rule if you are with kids. We spent all day at the rodeo. We came back ready to swim after being in the sun all day. Of course my toddler fell asleep so I stayed with him at the campsite and my husband took our other two kids to the pool. They were able to swim for 15 mins before the other people who were at the pool took off. So it was just my husband and kids left. The lady working in the office came out and told them they had to get out because "there has to be two adults and one has to stay on deck". Like, what?!? Seriously? That's the stupidest rule I've ever heard. So he gets my very disappointed kids out of the pool and they are just hanging out pool side hoping for basically a stranger to come swim so they can swim. They waited nearly an hour before they got defeated and came back to the camper. Stupid rule. I've never seen any campground ever have that rule. If you are that worried about a solo parent taking care of their kids, hire a life guard. Or make that pool rule known prior to booking. My kids had life jackets on and my husband is CPR certified. We more than likely not come here again because of this rule. Lame lame LAME.

Beware! The office closes at 6 PM which they list as "store hours" certain days & they do not make…read morearrangements with you before they leave if you arrive in the evening even though it's within admission hours in their email. The website, email or office door does not include how to gain admission after they close in early evening. They did not return calls or email within 24 hours.

Not bad, not spectacular. The folks who do come here adore it and many have standing spots…read moreyearround with built out sections like porches or add-ons extending off their trailers. One might call it the poor man's lakehouse. The majority of the campground area is surrounded by trees so the sites are more dirt and rocks than grassy (bring an air mattress!). It's also along a creek so your site may not be too far from a lovely rolling stream -- a great spot to set up for the day with your beach chairs and a ice cold brew. I highly recommend a walk up the gorge. Bring water shoes or sandals with straps because you do end up in the water and your sneakers would end up soaked for the whole stay. The falls are beautiful and a great spot to cool off in the water. There's a rope that's been tied up to a few trees so you can scale the gorge up to the top of the falls. You can have day visitors - cost is $5 per vehicle. The sites overall are a little bit pricier compared to State Park sites (nearly double the price) likely because it's a private campground. There's a store at the entrance of the site where you can grab necessary amenities like papertowels, lighter fluid, garbage bags, etc. I probably won't be back for my own personal camping expeditions, but will join our crew again since this is where they've been going for years.

We arrived at dark and the campground was well lit and directions were easy to follow. Laundry room and bathhouse nearby and kept very clean. Grounds well manicured with picnic tables and fire pits at each site. Tree branches are trimmed back so no worries about losing an AC unit. Very well maintained!! We are here in October so pools were closed but there are two and there also multiple playground areas for the children--- big kids too. Best WiFi in a campground yet! They had invested in booster boxes all throughout the campground. Just 40 minutes from Letchworth State Park---STAY HERE! you will be happy!

The camp spots are larger than some I've stayed at. Two laundry rooms that I have found (may be more). Huge store with all your camping needs, food, and entertainment and games for the kiddos. Miniature golf and swimming pool. water aerobics. Church on Sundays if you like church. Very large campground. Quiet a few annuals live here. They do themes on the weekends. Last weekends theme was all about kids. Great family friendly campground. Great for groups too! There was a very large group here last weekend.
