We knew we wanted to find a great house in a family neighborhood Placer Co. (Rocklin/Roseville). We began our search just showing up at open houses to get a feel for the neighborhoods and a few weekends in- we met Pam. Though we were not interested in the listing we met her at- she offered helpful advice on our next steps. We immediately felt comfortable. We decided to work with Pam directly as she was so knowledgeable, responsive, and easy to talk with and really seemed to understand what we were looking for. This review is for Nancy Meier. She was amazing! I came to Sun Cal Real Estate Group about a house I saw for rent, as I had already contracted an agent to sell my house. Nancy was the person of contact for this rental. We worked up rental contract but due to my agents negligence it was unsure if I was going to be able to rent the house as we were wondering if the sale would even happen. While talking to Nancy I was venting about the lack of progress and competency of my agent. He left right after listing my house on vacation to Pakistan (assuring me we could still communicate. Not true, our daytime is their nighttime) along with many other careless acts that caused me to lose 2 sales offers. I was going to have to take my house off of the market and start back up in January, this was emotionally draining, devastating. After my contract was satisfied with current agent, I severed the relationship, I asked Nancy if she wanted to take this on so late in the year, not to mention my house was not new to the market. To my surprise she agreed to try. I admired her zeal and I could definitely see that she had passion for her job as a Real Estate Agent. I wanted her on my team. She agreed and swooped into action, unlike anything I ever saw with my previous agent. I saw professionalism, and determination in action. She really pulled it off like a real pro. She not only sold my house, she sold my house for the amount we wanted. (being so late in the year, I really didn't think that was going to happen). I started working with Rod Brown eight years ago when he worked for Remax. I had been treated very poorly before meeting him as I was on a very tight budget,no one was interested in spending time when they weren't going too make money. When I met Rod he said,"I promise you I will spend as much time with you no matter what your financial situation is,regardless how small,I treat everyone the same whether they have only a little bit put away,or a million bucks,boy did he keep his word. We looked at properties daily,he never let me get discouraged that I had so little money,he just said,"were going to find you something". We eventually found a Condo and eight years later,who do you think now works at Sun Cal and is selling that same Condo for me,Rod! In fact I will tell you just how awesome this man is, he is selling that first condo he found me when he worked at Remax, as I write this,we closed on the home I bought in Cameron Park a month ago,he then made my daughter and son-in-law happy first time home buyers keeping all of this in the family,they closed last week! Well,that makes him our family institution. This is not only a fantastic business man who stays extremely composed which is good when you have a type A buying and selling at the same time. When the people moved from the house that I just purchased,I had paid for two extra days for them to stay here as they said they needed the time to clean. Needless to say they were rip off's,leaving my beautiful home dirty staying two extra days which I paid for,so they had extra time to move. Once again Rod stepped up to the plate and personally paid to have a cleaning crew come in and do a four hour very thorough deep clean in my new home. I have not met a kinder,more level headed,savvy person,completely down to earth.
