Impossible to make an appointment...."Leave message"... no return call!! This has happened to me several times!! Have to keep trying!

Go somewhere else! Mark Kocab is the worst. He doesn't care about his patients and simply gives up. Don't go to him if you want help for Gastroparesis. His only possible solution is to give you one medication and if it doesn't work, he has no other ideas. Staff also sucks. They will make you wait two months for an appt and then cancel 6 weeks later because "ago the doctor isn't going to be in that day". They refuse to fit you in even though it's their fault! They expect you to wait two more months for another appt that they cancelled! No real patient care! He is on auto pilot! Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else! read more

First of all, my dr at this practice was excellent, no complaints about her or her competency. However, the front office staff at this practice NEVER returns a phone call, doesn't return emails, doesn't return messages left on the answering machine and does everything in its power to add to the stress of a patient with questions about an upcoming procedure. When you have to book an appointment for a colonoscopy over 4 months in advance, it seems reasonable that as the appointment nears you might have a couple questions. They never called back and I was left without a prescription for the colon prep kit due to a change in insurance. I am sure that they have a lot of no-shows for appointments for procedures because patients are not getting the information they need. It was ridiculous and I ended up googling for directions on doing an alternative preparartion for my procedure. It should not be this hard to get a return phone call. What other purpose does a front office staff serve other than to make sure patients know what is going on? Again, it just really added to the stress of my procedure to be left hanging without the courtesy of a reply. This office needs to over haul its customer service and attitude toward the paying clientele and stop treating us like some unwelcome burden on their day. read more

HORRIBLE!!!! I've spent over two hours of my life trying to make an appointment. Staff does NOT answer the phone, does NOT return phone calls and when they do, upon answering the the call the call is immediately hung up on. These people should be ashamed of themselves for treating patients with such disrespect and disregard. I've read other reviews that the staff is AWFUL but the doctors are great. Well guess what docs, your staff is a reflection of you. Avoid this practice all ALL COSTS!!! read more

I would give ZERO stars if I could!! ****WARNING***** to everyone - check your medical notes from every visit. I have a very complicated GI issue that cause episodes of extreme pain and continuous vomiting. Usually end up in the hospital to get fluids and treat my dehydration, pain and vomiting. I came to this practice with a lot of hope that they would be able to help me. I've been doing everything asked of me - Dr visits, tests, procedures. Recently, during one of these episodes, I was advised by the Dr. on call to go to the ER to be admitted into Manatee Hospital. I sat in the ER there in pain and vomiting for about 5 hours - then was admitted. After discharge, I was told to make a f/u appointment with my GI - which I did. I was seen by my Dr's PA ALISON PATEL. She walked in the room and said "OK, so why are you here?" I proceeded to give her the information and also relayed communication between my PCP and GI Dr. Well.... this "Alison" treated me as if I was an interruption to her day and made me feel as though I shouldn't even be there. BUT THE WORST is that when I looked into my patient portal - she completely FABRICATED a very important part of the visit that will have an extreme negative effect on my future care!!!!! I have an appointment with a surgeon (recommended by the GI Dr.) in a couple of weeks and have tried EVERYTHING to get this corrected!! Left numerous messages with the practice manager - no response, filed a complaint with Blue Cross and called their corp office who said they would get them to call me - which never happened. Now, because of her lack of listening, researching previous records and complete lack of care - every Dr who treats me for this issues or any other issue will see this misinformation and treat me accordingly - which could have disastrous effect on my health!! I see a lot of great reviews for other Drs and their PAs - however, I haven't been so lucky with mine. read more

I called to set up a new patient appointment with this group at 4:30pm (I had already attempted to call at 1pm which I sat on hold for 30 mins with no answer.) At this time I had already been on hold for another 15 minutes when a secretary came on the line and asked if I could hold a few minutes, as if I had a choice, and then put me back on hold for another 15 minutes. When they finally picked up the call, it was the answering service. Therefore, I wasn't put on hold, I was actually being transferred to the answering service because the staff clearly wanted to leave and not bother to handle the rest of the calls that were incoming before the close of business. I would avoid this practice for this very reason. If this is how they handle potential patients I would hate to see how they handle existing patients. No thanks. It's a travesty because the doctors are getting a bad reputation based on their incompetent staff. I would say it's time to reevaluate the people working for them. read more

I am a patient of Dr. Caire, and I just can't say enough good things about him. Incredibly thorough, friendly and competent. It's such a pleasure to have a physician who is both competent and friendly. He performed my colonoscopy and was extremely thorough and helpful. Their staff is friendly and always helpful. I heartily recommend this practice. read more

Had an appointment scheduled for almost a month and got a call the same day telling me to come in at noon versus 1130am due to the doctor being behind. I came in at noon, waited for 15 minutes, then was told there are two patients ahead of me waiting to see the same doctor and one person currently being examined. Which means an hour wait which would make it almost 2 hours past my appointment. I was told the doctor stayed late at the surgery center. I can be understanding of that but I should have been called and asked to reschedule and have been given priority in that reschedule. The females at the desk seemed dumbfounded that I was upset and not understanding. Waiting a month for an appointment is hard enough to then be told to wait almost 2 hours. Unacceptable! read more

I got there at 1:45 PM for an Appointment that was Scheduled for 2:00 PM. I ended getting seen at 3:30 PM Here I'm thinking I was going to see a Video of procedure after waiting so long and all I'm shown is a picture on wall to explain procedure. Really? The Dr. did notice my Appt time and mention that she did see others had went ahead of me whose Appts were scheduled for a later time and she apologized. She also offered if I like to meet my Dr that was doing my procedure which I thought was very nice of her. I met Dr. Caire and he was really nice and asked if I had any questions. Im glad both Drs went out of there way to make me feel better. I think the office needs to make sure that they don't Schedule so many Appts for the same day and make sure everyone is seen on Time of Appt even if is 15 minutes after or al least be told that they'll may be a long wait. Not a good experience with Front Desk! Luckily the front desk person caught she Scanned my ID & Health Insurance on wrong patient. OMG. read more
