The vibe was slow and easy - friendly - the kind of place you hang out in for a spell. The whole dining room feels like a museum - you are surrounded by photos and relics from Cambria County's past. I sat near an antique telephone switchboard! Now for the food... I've eaten a whole lot of omelets in my life, and I've never had one like this. Wow. I ordered a 2-egg omelet for $7 and change, and it was absolutely bursting! It covered the plate. The egg was cooked thin - almost transparent, and it was wrapped around a huge ball of bacon, tomato, mushroom and provolone. I needed a box. It reminded me of a large Stromboli, but made with egg instead of dough. I can truly say I had the best omelet I've ever had today, and it happened in Nanty Glo. He quickly looked up the flavor of the day and recommended the Blue Raspberry Gelati, an excellent recommendation might I add.
