Who knew that a frozen custard stand that started in Duncansville had such a reach. Checking out the website you will notice that a lot of the locations are franchises, which is the case with this one. This actually replaces the location that was at the cloverleaf. I don't know the reasons for the move, nor do I care. This now sits on Scalp Ave. in the Richland area. It sits in a building that has been everything from a therapy office to a pharmacy. Maybe this one will stick. Right next door is a Em's Sub and I have heard that he owns this as well. What I did find interesting is that there is a swing door connecting the two spaces. So stop in for a sub for your lunch and then swing over and get dessert. The location with inside seating also has outdoor seating and a drive thru. Making for needing an excuse not to get frozen custard nearly non-existent. Check out their website or Facebook page and you will be up to date with their flavors for the week and specials that happen throughout a month. I just happened to stop by when they had peanut butter melt away as a flavor and my god was that delicious. I chose to get mine in a cup instead of a cone, I don't like the mess of a cone. The pic you see is a medium, and that to me is more than enough. The space is clean as could be, and with the white interior it really does give off the feeling of a an old time malt shop. The staff are friendly, and quick as can be. They are accommodating as well.

We are from Baltimore, Maryland, and I have never had frozen custard. My husband enjoyed a medium cup of Cappuccino Chocolate Chunk and I had the Dirty Turtle in a cone, but they gave me a small cup to keep it all together. I do have to say that the inside felt extremely small, maybe that was because of the restrictions in place for the time being. Our server, I'm not sure if I got this right or not, Danny was pretty amazing at what he did. He greeted us warmly, took our drink orders and gave us a minute to browse over the menu. When he returned with our drinks he was more than ready to take our order. How do I know that he was good? He took our orders without writing it down, and when the order showed up every single thing was correct. Absolutely everything that was ordered by us was right in front of us. He was the happiest and most patient person I have come across in a very long time. You deserve a raise my man. I had ordered the Fish and Chips meal which came with a side salad. The side salad was more like a mixed green salad with a lot of the toppings I didn't expect from a chain. It was a good portion to serve as a side. As for the Fish and Chips, spot on. Three modest sized strips of fish that were battered to perfection. The battering really made it hold up against the tartar sauce. The fries, basic, but a nice compliment to the fish. I did walk out of here satisfied. And with such a nice server it made the experience so much better than expected.

I ordered a cake for a 96th birthday party. I explicitly…read moreasked for it to be "over the top" with frosting and the cake needs to be "covered" in yellow and white flowers. The lady taking my order asked if they could put some pink flowers in also to make it all "pop". I agreed. I made a point of telling her I wanted this cake COVERED IN YELLOW FLOWERS. She seemed to understand. I even offered to pay an extra amount to ensure it was OVER THE TOP. She assured me she understood the assignment. When my husband brought the cake home, I knew by the look on his face that something wasn't right. 1/3 of the right side of the cake has orange flowers with some kind of blue vines. NOTHING AT ALL LIKE I ORDERED. I even called back the day after I ordered this cake to make sure the baker knew my instructions. Not sure I'll go back for special orders any more. If I would, I would have to take a picture so their understanding of over the top decorating is in line with mine. I'm embarrassed now to present this cake at a 96 year old birthday party. It's just a normal plain cake with about 12 little flowers in the right side. No yellow flowers. No pink flowers. Blue vines?? Maybe this is their quality and I'm used to something else. But communication was definitely off on this order.
