In this space, they hold premiers of different movies as well as host events to learn more about the films. There's also a co-working space for folks in the industry. Sadly, I am not one of those people, but I can imagine that the creativity that flows through that space is off the hook. The space is beautiful and likely sparks many ideas that could make it to the big screen Be sure to watch what these guys are up to and check out a screening or two. You won't be disappointed!

More people really need to know that this stellar community resource is available. I'm sure many do already (well, I know many do already) but maybe this way more will discover them. First off, they are not a new presence in the state, but have been around for well over 80 years! I won't go into history as they have information on their website (and you can drop by and ask them about it, too!), but at least know, if you haven't heard of them previously, you've been missing out and should hurry and try to make up for lost time! ;-) The ICCJ works to combat bigotry and discrimination in our communities. Their employees, few in number as they are, devote themselves to facilitate growth, support connections and foster understanding in and among people. They offer trainings both for private groups as well as for the public. In brief, they offer multiple retreats, throughout the year (mostly in the summer) for youth (e.g. Anytown and Global Leaders) and adults (i.e. Inclusion Summit). If you have any interest in social justice, this is a longstanding, reputable organization where you can engage and learn. I have yet to meet anyone who has any distaste for the ICCJ (and while I have by no means met all of their supporters - the reach of their impact is broad and extensive - I have met many supporters/members/friends etc.). Really, I could go on and on about this non-profit, which I love dearly (and love in the sincerest way, far more than just "I heart ...") I will end my comments here, concluding with this: the ICCJ, composed of a few dedicated staff and many, many volunteers, creates change in the community and helps tear down walls that divide us as humans, rebuilding healthy relationships and conscious minds.

The training and education delivered is top notch. I also received services there and was treated with kindness, care, and professionalism while there and even once I moved away. I was terrified to face what I needed to face and was met with patient, supportive women who continued to empower my choices, even when my fear and disorganized attachment style from my trauma tended to put up walls to shut them out so I would not receive help. I am safer now in my life and from certain people because of them and the resources they have shared with me. I thank them deeply for the time, money, and energy spent by them to ensure that I feel safe and supported in the world. I'm happy to share that right now I finally do. That change started at Peace House.

This one is similar in mission and purpose-look them up to see what local charity they provide-they do good things! The store is setup more like a boutique than a thrift store, which makes the experience feel a little nicer than just bargain hunting. Whomever is in charge of dressing the mannequins and putting out the displays does a fantastic job-it really sets the tone of the store and looks incredible! The inventory might be a little less than some of the other second hand stores in the game, but I think they might cater to an older, more classy audience than folks who want to look like they buy their clothes at a thrift store. (Nothing wrong with either group!) Based on the clientele I saw here, this is the perfect place to bring your mom or grandma or to get a lovely dress for a tea party with a matching hat. Come to think of it, the Kentucky Derby is coming up soon-I'll bookmark this as a place to return!

The students that started it are from the University of Utah, they get excellent education and are eager to begin practicing and helping others. The clinic has an "older" vibe, but still contains great equipment that is nice and clean. Plenty of evaluation rooms and treatment teams. Everyone in the clinic is cordial and happy to help. They are hard-working and really want what is best for those coming in. I have had the opportunity to volunteer here and see some of the treatment teams in action. They also have Spanish interpreters, so even if you don't feel comfortable speaking English, please don't hesitate to make an appointment. TIPS & TRICKS: * The clinic is right next to the Midvale TRAX station, which is very convenient if you don't have a car. It is free if you have a student ID card, but only $2.50 one-way too, so a cheap, safe, and warm ride nonetheless. * Come to your appointment at least 15 minutes early, because it is non-profit and volunteer, they need to stay on time and leave on time. * Another plus: Arctic Circle is next door and Moochies is a quick walk down the road too--both of which are great options for lunch!

She instructed a Dance Camp recently, in which the proceeds donated to Saprea, which provides help to children and victims of sexual abuse and trauma. The building is located in the Thanksgiving Point area, down the street from the Younique Building. The building is massive and beautiful, very inviting. The president shared a beautiful story of how this organization started, which inspired my nephew to want to volunteer and share the message. We got to see the auditorium where our "dance recital" was shown over a projector, but the participants were able to get up and be interactive. What a great organization which is so valuable to the community! We need more organizations like this!

Getting together a bunch of women who have lived in secrecy , pain, shame and deep loneliness gave us what we needed as kids. Safety, belonging and a sisterhood of wonderful friends is how we left the retreat. THIS is a legitimate mental health organization, with specially trained therapists. It may seem scary, the unknown, but the truth is if you are unlucky enough meet the qualifications to make it to the retreat, you will be safe, cared for and given the tools to resolve what that abuse has done to your mind, emotions, spirit and body.
