I love this yoga studio. I travel a lot for work and appreciate the flexibility of buying a package of 5 or 10 classes. I also like that I can book online. All the instructors are friendly, knowledgeable and unique in their style. I hadn't been in a couple of years and they made me feel so welcomed as I just started practicing yoga again. Want to do hot yoga? It's kind of like normal yoga, but with me in it. (Thus the hot reference) Do the reg. yoga just not here at this location. Maybe the other Sundance Studios are better, I am going to try them before I knock them. I have done aerial yoga, paddle board yoga, the real hot yoga, and normal yoga at dozens of places. This one is hands down my least favorite. I was looking forward to it because my daughter was going to have her own class and a friend joined us. 1. We arrived a little early because we were new and sometimes there is waivers but we weren't allowed in. It's a small studio and everyone waits outside until class starts, IN THE HEAT. Also kind-of like hot yoga, but I did that once and I'll never do it again. I knew what class we were doing before we signed up. 2. We both called and confirmed prices. I paid on-line he wanted to pay cash. They insisted the price was different for him although I paid the quoted price online. After a little back and forth they let him pay the quote he was given on the phone. 3. The yoga instructor was great at what he does, but he had front desk duties, which he was not very good at, which in turn made him blatantly grumpy. His wife took over and explained he hated checking people in. To which I answered, "We can tell." I am so easy to please, that says a lot. read more

Simply amazing. This studio is everything a yoga studio should be. From payment to check in to classes it is all about providing a relaxing and rewarding experience. They don't do any additional fees, ever. They don't do automatic card withdrawals or any kind of commitment, so I was very excited to join because of that. When life threw me for a loop after serious surgery and a frozen shoulder, I found Sundance-or better yet, Sundance found me. I have always felt at home and the instructors/yogis are all very kind and welcoming. Although challenging, the classes are led by competent and positive instructors. Mike, Alex and Valerie have all been my inspiration over the last few years as I have gotten stronger and healthier. I only wish I could have them here with me in Germany where my new job is. What a great place! They have lots of the equipment you need like blocks and straps. The studio has pretty lighting, and there is a place to stash belongings right in the room. It's a very peaceful place. read more

I took a group of students ( ages 9-12)to Sundance Yoga Studio for a field trip this week. Valerie was so great and provided a class that helped the students focus on breathing, mindfulness, and mediation. She was so helpful and I know my students had a great time! I would recommend this to any teacher who is looking to plan a field trip to help meet the emotional or behavioral needs of their students. We hope to take another trip next year! read more

Sunday morning Sweaty Yoga class with Jamie is excellent! It's not hot yoga but it's not cold either. The room is just slightly warm. Jamie is an excellent teacher who is knowledgeable and attentive to the needs of her students. I love that the music playlist is instrumental and chill, not like the blaring loud hip hop of other hot yoga studios. read more

This is a great place for a beginner to start a yoga practice. The staff is friendly, and not pushy. I enjoy the classes here very much.

We moved to Friendswood from downtown, where I attended a wonderful yoga studio with highly trained teachers who specialized in my favorite type of yoga, Yin yoga. I was so sad to leave because I thought I wouldn't find that level of teaching way out in the burbs. To my surprise, not only was Sundance a "real" yoga studio (not some other type of gym that happens to offer yoga) but they also offer yin yoga and the instructor was trained by my instructor in Houston! Score! My only complaint is that I wish they had higher quality equipment (blocks, mats, etc) and I wish they had a cleaning station for equipment. But I have invested in my own equipment so it's not too much of an issue. They have a wonderful Mommy n Me class too! read more

During my first pregnancy, I was interested in attending a pre-natal yoga class. I wasn't having any luck on finding a studio in my area that offered them. I was referred by a friend to Sundance Yoga Studio. I checked out their website at the beginning of July and saw that they offered a session on Sundays from 4:00 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. This day and time slot was perfect for me. The website listed that the classes began mid-July so I called the studio to get signed up. I called the studio for 3 days in a row at various times of the day and got no answer at all from anyone. Just a machine. I finally was able to get a response via email from the owner, and she informed me that even though the website stated that the pre-natal session began in July that they weren't offering the classes until September. Come mid-August, I called the studio again to sign up for the September classes. I was then informed that they were actually beginning the classes that coming Sunday instead of September like I was told previously. Good thing I called right? She told me that I was on her list of people who were interested to contact about the pre-natal class, but to send her a "reminder email" to say that I was interested. I emailed her right away, and got a response the following day saying that I was NOT on her list of people interested, but could I start that coming Sunday at 9:00 a.m. I told her no, because the website states (and has stated this whole time) that the classes were at 4:00 p.m. and I was not interested in a 9:00 a.m. class. Why did the schedule on the website stay the same this entire time, but somehow it went from July, to September, to August and from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 a.m. This owner is very unorganized and this type of behavior is very unprofessional coming from a business. If you're going to change your class schedule on a daily basis, you may want to change your website to coincide with these spur of the moment changes as well. I would never recommend such an unprofessional business to anyone. What an AWFUL and memorable first impression. read more
