Damn, they do a good TV Guide. Sure, the lineup can now be accessed by a click of the Television remote, but then how else would I be able to read the quality column 'The Big Question', where people write in with important queries such as 'Who was that hot old guy in that movie 'Gigi?' Is he still alive, and if so, can I have a copy of the DVD and maybe his home address?' And, 'That McDreamy guy on Grey's Anatomy, any idea what shampoo he uses?'
Another fave of mine is 'Unpacked', where the writer summarises TV series for people who are stupid, eg: 'Two and a Half Men is a sitcom about two men and a boy living together' and 'Private Practice is a show set in a medical clinic.' I have been getting the TV Guide every Sunday my whole darn life and technology will not put paid to this tradition.
As for the rest of the paper, it's alright I guess. read more
