I moved in to SunFlorin apartment 3 years ago and had nothing but the best! The management team is so nice and great to have as management. The complex is so quite (beside the cars on Florin), and my neighbors were very nice and looked out for each other. I will miss my cottage. Very helpful staff. Always attentive and good at following up with me! Large property, and units also feel large! I love that they do community events as well- taco night was delicious. Recently management hosted a wonderful community event, where they had a variety of sweets (pumpkin pie, peach cobbler, potato pie, lemon meringue etc...) some they bought and some were baked and donated by residents. The adults were then blindfolded and had to guess what they were eating. It was hilarious! Here is a picture of some of the kids during and after their "move the skittles" game, and a picute of the prize table for the winners and participants of all the games, and one of the blind pie tasting! I have been living here for about 15 months and I think overall it's a good place to live. I like that all my neighbors are super nice and look out for each other,the grass/shrubbery is well maintained, maintenance comes as soon as you call them to fix any problem,security people are present at night(although nothing bad ever happens here)and finally there is a small grocery store nearby. I do have a few warnings though. First, the back gate (by French Rd) is ALWAYS being vandalized. This is an issue for me because then anyone that wants to can come in to the apartment complex,there are no drug dealers living here, but there are a few guys that smoke weed in my little cul de sac. Sunflorin Village - Apartments Near Me - Sacramento, California

1) Sunflorin has a rat and mice infestation issue that is exactly like a horror movie. The management is aware of it for months, but not doing anything about it and are trying to save money rather than focusing on fixing the issue. It is unhygienic, health hazard and can spread diseases to humans. Not to mention, these rats have been multiplying like crazy chewing through walls and coming inside apt units. My car got damaged by rats. I heard scratching noises inside my car (how creepy is that!). Mice found inside apt too. 2) illegal drug dealings/usages/ high trafficking and fights every other day. Knife stabbings are very common according to residents here. 3) Although not so common anymore but there was always 4-5 large (200+ pounds?) aggressive pitbull dogs and rottweilers dwelling on site with no collars or leash and no owners in sight. They tried to attack kids and people with smaller dogs. It was an issue here with Dangerous dogs running around loose on-site and possibility of vicious attacks and it went on for months. 4) random power outages weekly in the middle of the night!! all parking lots have zero light. 5) gun shots and fights read more

I have lived at Sun Florin for over a year now and really enjoy the people I live around. The managment is always helpful and open to suggestions and improvements that need to be made on the property. Sun Florin recently just added a full and half court basketball hoop with a tetherball court to the property. This area is amazing for the kid to hang out. As a father with young boys and girls its great to hang out outside with the kids and not have to go to the park all the time. Sun Florin is really family friendly and a enjoyable place to live. The Managment at Sun Florin has always gone out of there way to accommodate me. The maintenance takes care of issues ASAP.. I would recommend this apartment complex to anyone looking for a great reasonably priced place to live. read more

Currently living here !! DO NOT LIVE HERE !! The whole complex is infested with roaches !! They have someone come and do pest control every so often ! Roaches are all in the laundry mat , inside the unit and crawling all outside the complex !! Homeless people are always out in the parking lot ! There's no security , they barley got cameras. My car got stolen right in front of my door ! Couldn't give a detail description of the person who stole my car because they didn't have cameras to do a full investigation. Not a fan. My company placed me here for housing which is at least a two star step down from what was typically housing options for work. I have never had so many sinus issues living in an apt. Nights sleeping where I wasn't able to breath, even my cat having teary eyes often. Whether it was my downstairs neighbors smoking coming through the bathroom sink or actual issues in the air in the apt, it was not fun for 6 months. I informed them to change the carbon monoxide detector because it was beeping. they changed the battery twice and the 3rd time they changed the detector to a smoke alarm detector, so then I had two smoke detectors and no carbon monoxide detector! The carpets were unclean and sewage can be smelled through the bathroom toilet if you didn't put bleach down it every so often. The staff were always friendly when I called or emailed of concerns but the apartment is what you pay for i guess for the area... Unfortunately I didn't get an option for better :/ Also, for you single young ladies out there,The gate was ALWAYS open so feeling unsafe if I got home past dusk was creepy especially random strangers on the property.. I think it was closed once and my code did not work to get in. Didn't feel safe the washer dryers! Always broken never fixed, the room was so messy. Noise: my next door neighbor would play loud loud music after hours( like 10 til 3 am) and would park in my spot twice since moving in and I called the patrol and they said they would ticket... They never got the citation. I do recall the patrol coming once urgently when there was a moving van blocking my car... Overall, not a good experience. It's sad I cannot say in traveling for three years, that i had 7 of 8 apt that were just dandy and this unfortunately was not. Glad to be out. read more

Its been a while since my last review. Alot has changed in the last few years here. In March 2015, my lease was renewed and we moved to the other side of the complex to a 2BDR unit. Earlier this year, a new management company, #QPM, took over. But after more than 6 years as a resident of #SunflorinVillage, I must say that "There's no place like home". The new office staff/maintenance crew have tended to my needs in a timely and respectful manner. Even my nearby neighbors who dont #yelp, have told me they were skeptical of the new takeover at first, but like the way things have been handled here. Dont get me wrong, things do go on here just like any other apt complex. The way and how fast it gets handled are just one of the few reasons this is a great place to live. #SunflorinVillage has community gatherings, meet and greets and scavenger hunts. I welcome anyone in or out of #yelp, to like, question or comment on my recent 5 star review of #SunflorinVillage in a respectful manner. Thanks! I'm so disgusted and so irritated with this hell hole of an apartment complex! Even though they were bought out by QPM it's not any better! I would think a long time resident would be treated better than they treat you. My 1980's refrigerator went out and they bring me one that looks worse, it's dirty and has hair in it! Wtf! I guess I should be OK with that! It's a damn shame when I call the office back about it being dirty, they tell me someone will be baack to clean it. 30 min goes by and now they are closed and no one came back! So now I have to clean this damn gross refrigerator so I can put my food up before I have to buy new food from not being in the freezer or fridge! I'm heated!!! Sunflorin Village is my favorite apartments so far. It is very clean and peaceful. The manager is quick to get maintenance to fix things and made it less stresseful to move in. I like that the pool is always clean and the layout of the floor plans. I even get free coffee when I pay rent. read more

I moved in July and it has been really a nice place to stay. The staff is great, Precious the property manager is real cool. She goes out of her way to get things done for you. The other ladies in the office also makes it happen, Robyn and tiffany. Way to go ladies, that's how you make it a nice place to stay. I started this review about a year ago and haven't posted because i was waiting for us to get our deposit and all that other stuff out the way before they seen this..I have lived here for 15 months my lease is up in a few days we got a deal on this apartment but even with the deal i refuse to stay! Its always humid because their windows are from year 100b.c.!!!! On top of that the entire 15 months the gate worked maybe one month all together n im being extra nice on that one. There was plenty of times getting off work to be locked outside of the apartment. Lucky us right! There are three entrances but we only use one n its always broken!!! The office workers well one in particular is very rude. I understand youre dealing with peoples bs all day but thats your job!!!! The maintenance workers suck. We didn't allow shoes in our apartment and this idiot would always walk out in his shoe covers and walk back in like bro that defeats the purpose of having those on..that same guy would leave a mess ever time he worked on something..our stove light didn't work until the last month of being their and that was one of the things I noted when we did the walk through. At one point our parking spot awning messed up like some back hit it and it was bend over it took them over a week and a nasty phone call to get them to fix it we were given the run around they didn't have the tools this that but once i said i wanted my money reimbursed because i pay for that parking spot that day they had someone come over..then dude to the old building we got a leak threw the roof it caused it to mold bad black mold at that and we lived in the mold for a few weeks before they cut that piece out and dried the area out which meant we slept in the living room for about two weeks you'd think they would give us an incovience reimbursement because it wasn't out fault it was their roof that leaked all the way to the bottom floor (my level). It's not the best place for the price trust me I rather live in the ghetto then come thinking I found a nice sweet spot only to deal with bullshit. Oh yea our apartment was cheaper because the tenant before us died he might of died of black mold but we'll never know... read more

My experience here was terrible if I could give no stars I would. The people in the front office are liars and all they want is your money. They say they have security going around inside the complex but that's a lie there's always homeless people inside the complex and stealing clothes from the laundry mat. They don't take care of there complex there's garbage everywhere. I only stayed here a year and that's only because I couldn't leave because of my lease. They made us pay for an extra month even tho we were not living there anymore they said we didn't tell them we were moving out witch was another lie we all told them we were moving out. Then I had specifically asked the lady in the front her name is robin I asked her if I should clean the carpets and she said no because the apartment didn't get new carpet before we moved in so they were going to put new carpet in there anyway so there isn't a need to so I didn't. Then months later we get our deposit back and they took at $300 dollars out of our deposit for carpet cleaning. My boyfriend went in to talk to her about the charge and the fact that she lied to my face about not having to clean it. When he asked her she said she didn't tell me to clean it because they don't want people cleaning it cause they have a "sunflorin way" to clean it. Nothing is ever clean there so that's bull. It's Halloween and there is already a fight between some ghetto ass fools her only 5:20 pm I can imagine what later on looks like, I have new neighbors that moved in and ther is 4 people up there, they are loud and come in all night and day, not to mention the security parties with the other neighbors across the way that smoke weed when they party every weekend, I'm locked in a lease 4 8 more months and believe me I'm so out of here the advertisement about this place is all lies , this place is getto and plus I pay 900 for a one bedroom I went to use the laundry room here and found a used condom in the wash machine component and 5 homeless people sleeping in the laundry room, I just hate this place more and more everyday it is a complete joke living here, I will keep you updated every week on this getto island until I move read more

I have been a resident here at sunflorin for several years and seen it go through multiple management companies and right now hands down QPM the new management is the best. Work orders in my home are addressed in a timely manner FOR ONCE, the rat problem is finally being addressed and the office staff is very friendly and helpful. My lease is coming up for renew and I will definitely be staying. I have several friends within the community that are very happy with the changes and i will even be paying more money to get my unit updated,HOOOOORRRAAAYYY!!!! for the update options when renewing our lease. New appliances and counters makes me happy and excited. I love the convenience of the bus stop right out front for my kids knowing I don't have to worry when they get off their already home and best part is were part of Elk Grove school district. Give them a chance and come look for yourself. read more

I lived at this property for several years.At the time it was kind of nice until a few years ago they changed property mangement and this is when everything for me started going down hill.To start of somebody vandalized my car.They stole my brand new battery and stole my tags.And a couple of months before moving from there in August 2017 I went out to my honda pilot to go and run errands and started up my truck and it was very loud.Went to the mechanic and come to find out somebody tried to steal my catalytic converter and must have gotten caught in the act.I went to the office to make a complaint to those two sisters and they acted like it was not a big deal.And when you do go into the office, they will tell you anything you want to here just to get you out of their faces.Please do not I repeat do not rent from this property.I am glad I moved from there in August 2017 but I have yet to receive my security deposit back.Those two sisters are so unperfessional read more

Terrible apartments, I would never move back in. My apartment had different colored carpet that meets in the middle of the hall and there is a dead fish smell in my daughters room that seems to be coming from the vents. She won't even sleep in there. The draws don't work well and the stove top only has one temp (high) unable to turn down. Everything is rigged to work, nothing is replaced. My down stairs neighbor stores her garbage in large black garbage bags on her porch which smells really bad and my daughter has encountered rats several times. I reported this 3 times and still no resolution. Instead I get a notice on my door to remove my beautiful potted plants from my front door. I am done with these apartments, I can't wait to get out and I will never return. read more

Say no...First we been living here for not too long and already this place is terrible. We had turned in our money order for rent into the drop box after office hours because we got out of work later. Then a few days later we get an eviction notice. I go into the office with our receipt and bottom portion of our money order to show proof that we had turned it in. They basically said not our problem and they can not do anything about it since they had not received in person. My thing is why have a rent drop off box if you are not responsible. Also we called the money order place and it said the money order was cashed. Then obviously this had to be an inside job because who else would be there early enough to steal someones money order. Also the money order was made out to sun florin apts. Now we still have to pay rent again and our money is gone. Please say no unless you want an incompetent staff who you can not trust and is not responsible for their tenants. have never had this sort of experience ever with any other apt.. You put money into the rent box and they steal it. read more
