He consistently shows up to his scheduled appointments on time and honors specific requests, like removing his shoes and calling/knocking before entering a household. Jason explains each maintenance issue in layman's terms for the non-savvy individual to understand. He always cleans up after the job and never leaves a mess. LOOK ELSE WHERE!!! I am relocating from out of state and reached out to Sutter Green to coordinate a remote lease. Because I can't visit in person, I sent a highly organized list of standard questions regarding virtual tours, the exact units available, noise insulation, included amenities, and utility fees. The response from the leasing office was incredibly lazy and evasive: 1. Zero reading comprehension: My very first sentence stated I was looking for an August move-in. The agent, Dominique, replied by asking, "Most important question, when are you looking to move?" 2. Dodging terms: I asked if their virtual tours showed the exact vacant units and if I could qualify for their move-in special remotely. They ignored both questions. 3. Ignoring noise concerns: I explicitly stated quiet surroundings are crucial and asked about top-floor availability and floor-to-floor noise insulation. They completely ignored this. 4. Hiding fee details: They mentioned a "$105-$115 flat fee" for utilities but wouldn't explain what it actually covers. They also refused to put in writing which community amenities are actually guaranteed in the base rent. When I politely followed up to get actual answers to these crucial questions before scheduling a tour, they completely ghosted me. To be honest, I don't usually judge a place solely on the leasing office because, once you move in your actual day-to-day experience is defined by the community itself and how reliable the maintenance team is. However, when an office team is this dismissive and completely ignores major questions, it is a massive red flag for how the entire property is managed. When a complex refuses to put amenity breakdowns, noise policies, and utility fees in writing, it's because they want to avoid a paper trail. If it isn't documented, you have zero leverage to challenge your rent if those amenities are broken, locked, or unusable, and you can expect that same lack of accountability when it comes to getting maintenance issues fixed. Currently a resident. It's been frustrating not getting assistance with a package I needed in a specific time. I went in person at the office twice to get help. First time I was told to dispute with Fedex. Second time, I explained that I can tell which mailbox it is based on Fedex's delivery image, so if they can assist with opening it that would be great. Filing a dispute would have taken way too long. I was told they would call me when someone is able to open the mailbox, but no one ever did. I tried to go to the office a couple more times but no one would be there. I even tried calling and left a message but no one got back to me. I understand that it's on Fedex for not coding the package correctly therefore I did not get the correct code to retrieve it, but I feel like it was an easy fix on their side, and they chose to not be helpful. Everything was extremely fine until we decided to vacate. Their communication turned terrible, emails became unanswered, & Ashley Galiste (the manager) was extremely rude & non-personable. She really brings down the morale & mission statement of Sutter Green & ruined my experience. Durning our face to face conversation she would cut me off & be-little any situation I brought to her attention. I asked to talk to someone who is in support of their tenants & have yet to receive a call or email. Sutter green is the best apartment complex in Natomas. I lived there several years and upon me leaving I mentioned to several friends & family to look into moving there anytime someone mentioned to me that they were looking for an Apt. The community was always super clean great amenities very pet friendly if you are a dog lover like myself. The staff was always A1 with their communication and overall friendliness they hosted really great resident events. Krista, Jessy & Sarah (all the other were also I just remembered their names lol) were great and were always super helpful anytime I had a question or concern also they had onsite security at night which I appreciated greatly. So excited we'll be calling this place home in less than 2 weeks! Ryan was such a gem to work with and provided my initial tour, and I immediately fell in love with the unit and property. Krista was able to provide another tour for my husband last-minute the following day and was gracious to squeeze us in before another appointment. Overall, they made the process so easy and were super responsive throughout the process, answering all our questions. Ryan provided updates during our application process and was easy to contact, and we were approved by their property manager without any issues! Online application is easy to navigate, the photos on their website are an accurate depiction of the property, no false advertisement as far as I can tell. Clean grounds and modern amenities. We moved into Sutter Green in June 2019 and stayed until April 2022. We were lucky because we were the first people to ever live in our unit, one of the two bedroom, two bathroom Coloma floor plans on the first floor with attached garage and tandem driveway/parking. Over the three years we lived at Sutter Green we really enjoyed our place and made a lot of friends in the community, especially residents with dogs. The units are more modern and there is a good sized pool, hot tub, a workout facility (with pelotons), grills, dog park, dog spa, bike fixing area and package drop off area (through Luxer One) available to residents. When we first moved in the rent was $2180 for the two bedroom, two bath Coloma with attached garage and tandem parking for a thirteen month lease. When our lease was up during COVID they kept everything the same rate for a 12 month lease, which was great, but once the pandemic started easing up a bit and our lease came due in 2021 they upped everything to $2437 for a nine month lease which included their monthly fee for having a pet as we got a dog during the pandemic. Now I see on their website that the units start at $2555. The price increase is one of the reasons we started looking to buy a home and with rent continuing to go up we'd rather pay a mortgage for more space and something that is actually ours. Pros: - Newer buildings, units and appliances - Washer and Dryer in unit - Open Floor plans - Pool/Hot tub access - Gym Access - Dog Park - Dog Salon (washing station) - Grills - Package Locker Area - Heating and cooling is very efficient - Near Discovery Park, Grocery Store, Restaurants etc. - Short Drive to Downtown - Garage Spaces available - Sutter Green get togethers/parties - Great Neighbors - Patio with units - walking paths within Sutter Green - key fob entry to unit and complex/amenities - Short drive to downtown/midtown Cons: (I'm giving detail for context and constructive feedback for Sutter Green to improve but we really did love living here!) -Inconsistencies -The grills are not always very well kept. They often need a deep clean and maintenance and don't always function properly. They are first come first serve, unless someone rents the party area (free to tenants but a deposit is required) This wasn't always the case, when we rented the party room it was just the room and the grills were first come first serve- more recently is seems that people can "reserve" the whole space, however there isn't a Sutter Green announcement about it so if you're hoping to grill you may be out of luck for the day. -When we first moved in a lot of people had plants on their balconies and this made walking around so fun because I got to see everyone's plants and flowers. Within our last year they sent out a notice that we were no longer allowed to hang lights, have plants on the ledges and a few more things. I ended up putting mine on the ground and a lot of people just ignored the new rules but it seemed to stifle some of the creativity and fun in the community. -We LOVED that we had a refrigerator with an icemaker and water dispenser, however after our first year we learned that if we wanted to change the filter it would be $50 after receiving replacements for free in the past. Maybe this is standard practice, but since it's their fridge and you would hope they could get a deal for buying filters in bulk it surprised us. We never got a new filter after our first free replacement not because we wouldn't pay but because they never brought one even after a couple calls, we gave up because the water still tasted fine. -The dog park is a great benefit of living here but it definitely could use more attention. A lot of owners don't pick up after their dogs which leaves other tenants to pick up after them. Also, the pet waste stations around the complex have been known to get very full, especially on weekends and the bags run out sometimes and then many owners use that as an excuse not to pick up after their pups. For the longest time the water fountain leaked and left a gross area that collected leaves where the dogs loved to lay down and get slimy. I heard they've fixed this recently but it was like that for a couple years. Overall we really loved living at Sutter Green and it was the best apartment we rented before buying our home. We've been renters since 2010 and stayed in five places over the years in Ohio and California. We did just get our security deposit back and after living there three years and putting in $1000 deposit ($400 for the original deposit and $600 for the pet deposit) we received $595 back. Huge shout out to Krista for making our move in extremely smooth and easy. She was extremely helpful with all of our questions we had and super responsive. I really loved how fast and efficient the process was! We had some issues with our thermostat system and patio door and she did a maintenance request and the next day it was fixed. The only concern is not finding empty parking spaces that are available to use near our complex. The parking spots do fill out really quickly, so you do have to go around multiple times. Other than that, great neighbors and loving all the amenities so far! read more

The apartments are quiet, and they look really nice, but once you move in things start falling apart!!! The apartments must have been made on the cheap because we have barely been here a month, and our kitchen sink has not stopped leaking! We have needed the maintenance to come fix it FOUR TIMES and each time they slap some caulk on it, and then it starts leaking again! So if you value your privacy, and don't like having maintenance over every day, this is probably not the complex for you! read more

We moved into Sutter Green January 2020 right before Covid shut downs and lived here for about 3 years. We had a beautiful, vaulted ceiling Eureka floor plan that overlooked the center parking in the community. Sutter Green will always have a special spot in my heart for a variety of reasons. The floor plan and units are stunning, the staff are phenomenal and really make the place feel like home and it's the first home of my children. Anytime we had maintenance issues, the maintenance staff were extremely diligent in addressing it quickly and efficiently. The front staff, especially Krista, we're always very responsive and kind. After a few issues with parking (which ended up being addressed the same year we moved in with the expanded parking), we had close to no major issues living in this community. When we left, there was a new group starting to move in, all of which were very friendly neighbors. And, a community Facebook page amongst the neighbors to communicate with each other regarding any issues that may arise. Loved having "Santa" visits and Taco Truck resident appreciation days, will really miss those! Overall living at Sutter Green had been a great value, location, and living experience. A true dream! I especially would like to applaud all of the staff that work here, they have made the experience SO pleasant and it would not be the way it was living here without them! Sutter Green is a wonderful place to live. My wife and I spent 3.5 years from March 2018 to Sept. 2022, and I was one of their first tenants. When we moved in, half the buildings were still under construction. Throughout our time here which included the pandemic, the quality never faltered. I have seen different managers, Sarah, Scott, then Sarah. Both Scott and Sarah are highly attentive and responsive. I have seen different leasing agents who were talented; however, Krista has always been a friendly smiling staple on the leasing/front office team. Brandon has held it down in maintenance. Some reviews critique the homeless around the building and the safety issues that come from the homeless and other people committing property crimes. Sadly, that is urban living in California, and in my humble opinion, Sutter Green makes a good faith effort to address it, but it is a systemic issue that needs to be addressed but overly ideological legislators rather than one property company. If you don't like property crimes, call your legislator, don't write a snide-yelp review. Thanks for the time here SG. We will miss you. read more

While the unit that we toured was gorgeous, 1 bedroom+den on the top floor, everything from the flooring, fixtures and overall space was GREAT.... for the price and direct surrounding area, these two things did not match up. Directly across the new community we're old, questionable apartments with broke down cars on the street and unfortunately we say homeless people wandering the street coming from the big park across the street. The construction leading to Sutter Green was also not a plus for me, and there wasn't walkable stores or restaurants nearby. While it's nicely located next to the freeway for easy access, that's about the only good thing about location. I didn't feel the price was worth everything as a whole package - this is just my take. Krista, the leasing consultant was super sweet, in allowing us to view the apartment - where the maintenance guy opened the unit for us, and we got to view it. Then she was able to answer all of our questions on the phone. She was great and thorough, but the unit just wasn't a good fit for our budget. I wish the location was different because they grounds were nice, the gym is huuuuge and the pool area was very inviting. Price is a huge factor secondary to location, for me. read more

It's been 4 months since we moved out of our Sutter Green Apartment and both my husband and I still miss it. We were fortunate to get a really great apartment location that had the best views (in my opinion). We got the 2x2 apartment on the third floor which features floor to ceiling windows. There's a lot of sunlight that filters into the apartment so it's perfect if you have lots of plants like we do. My husband and I worked from home pre-Covid and the space has always been quiet. We lived there for a few months during covid and the noise levels didn't change. Our neighbors were really respectful of noise and the majority of them were working professionals. The apartment complex is dog friendly and they provide a dog park for your convenience. We have met really great people at the dog park who we're still close to today. There's also a great walking path in the gated complex and its well lit so that you can have a long evening stroll. We loved the staff. Krista is so sweet and full of energy. The previous manager Sara helped us with any issues we came across and followed up even when she was bombarded with so much work. Emily is helpful and always ready with a smile. The maintenance worker (I believe his name is Tony) was prompt with fixing any issues we had in the apartment. Any maintenance issue got resolved within 24-36 hours. Overall, we really loved living in Sutter Green. If we didn't have to move due to work we would still be there. read more

I love it here! Everything is incredible. Only red flag is the parking. As someone who has resided here for a couple years, the parking situation is getting out of hand. People have to resort to parking in front of garages, making it difficult to back out of a garage if you are parked in one. There is a curb that many people would park at, it would fit up to 4 cars, but due to recent re-painting, the complex has made that curb a fire line. It still does not deter people from parking there though, given spots are taken up. It is an inconvenience when you are a resident here, but have to compete with guests for a spot. Though understandably so, it is hard to just create more parking given the location of the complex. Parking on the street is not something residents should have to resort to as paying 2000+ should ensure parking. As previously stated, everything else here is great. The staff is incredibly kind, when there's any maintenance issues, they are quick and prompt to accommodate you. If possible, some kind of new system for parking for residents that do not have a reserved space needs to be taken. The app they use to offer spots is great in dire times but paying $5 every day is not something i want to do. If you are someone who only has one car and wants to live here, I would highly encourage it. read more

Hi Sarah, very lovely of you to respond to my review two weeks later. I would like to clarify a few points on my end. Law enforcement was only called once, for a noise complaint from neighbors that don't get along with anybody in the building. The time this happened, was not even past curfew of quiet hours. Im sure more than a few residents are late on rent payments, because you're "luxury apartments" prices increases very frequently and is very ridiculous for the amenities you have access to here. I would like to also add on the fact that rent payments and late fees were always paid for within a couple days. As a matter of fact, you broke the privacy law mentioning our late payments and eviction notices publicly. I would also like to bring up the fact that you seem to have not responded to my security concern? Also including my concern with nothing being done with cars frequently getting broken into? Or even the broken grills, granite table, and rusty pool equipment? I would like to mention the time where there was a kids birthday party thrown at the pool area right after office was closed, and out came a man that jumped over the fence, taking pictures of young girls as well as teenage girls. Therefore this man proceeded to flash his genitals infront of minors and when the office was notified, nothing was done about this? No law enforcement called? Nothing? I would also like to bring up the fact that YOUR OWN security ( when he showed up a couple times a month ) told my dad " this is the ghetto and sutter green is not safe". As well as the time where your security guard spent his hours "guarding" while sitting in the gym. My dad has kicked out aggressive homeless people more than a few times. And lastly, as for the gross bug situation here, I was generally speaking around the entire apartments, bugs are everywhere you go. Cockroaches, lots of cockroaches everywhere! I'm very surprised that none of these concerns have been addressed. And actually, we have stayed with sutter green since 2020 so please get your information right. read more

Sutter Green is definitely not your average apartments--Sutter Green feels more like a new housing community. I will start with the ONLY downside which I do not feel is enough to take away a full star. If you have upstairs neighbors that are not VERY careful with how they walk, you will be able to hear just about every foot step. The people above us are very friendly, and I was able to talk to them a bit about the issue, but it seems as though the floors/ceilings here were made just a little too thin considering that this is a brand new establishment. If you are not easily bothered by that sort of noise, then you probably won't have any problems here. Other than the footsteps from upstairs neighbors, Sutter Green as a whole is very quite. Even with the construction happening on newer units, I haven't heard much. As far as the interior of the apartments go, you will struggle to find anything nicer without paying twice the cost of sutter green. Everything from the 9ft ceilings to the lovely flooring feels like quality. The appliances are all great and you will see that Sutter Green did not cheap out on any of them--the refrigerators even have ice makers! The gym feels like your own private gym most of the time and the Peloton bikes are a huge plus for us. There is lovely club house that is available for use if you were to host larger parties. There are outdoor gas grills that are always available for use. Everyone that I have encountered so far are friendly, even though other reviewers have not experienced the same thing. The community feels very safe. The trash areas are locked at all times, and everything is keyless entry. Although the area as a whole along Garden Highway has a reputation of homeless populations, Sutter Green is tucked back with business complexes so the area feels much nicer and well kept. If your place is done up right, you will likely feel like your living in a resort hotel most of the time. If I lived in one the one of the 3rd story units (to avoid the footsteps coming through the ceiling), I have only praise for Sutter Green. read more

I love my home here. What makes my experience here worth the rent are the leasing team and maintenance staff. Krista Cramsie sticks out in my memory as a source of support I can always rely on. Not once has Krista seen me on the property without a bright hello. I know that I can call the office anytime and the team on the other line are eager and delighted to assist. With the world on fire and prices rising, it's nice to know that our property aims to provide an experience worthy of the "luxury living" monicker. I'm moving to Sacramento for a job this summer and spoke to Christine over the phone and she was by far the most accommodating and nicest person I talked to out of the 6 places I scheduled tours for. When I got on site for my tour, Sarah helped me out and she was just as equally accommodating and went out of her way to make sure I got everything I needed. Being not from the area, this was especially helpful. The amenities are beautiful and the community felt safe because it is gated and accessed with a fob. It's also very pet friendly, which is a huge plus for pet owners (love the pet spa). The closest grocery store, Raley's (previously Bel-air) is also only 5 mins away and there's discovery park across the street for all you outdoor runners there. With that said, I signed a lease that same day because of the staff and property. I can't wait to move in this summer and will update this review once I actually move in. read more

I completely fell in love with the apartment complex when I came to tour. I've been living at Sutter Green for about 8 months now. Honestly, I was a bit hesitant at first because how can an apartment complex have this many good reviews on Yelp and Google?!? It seemed too good to be true. Well...I'm telling you now... Sutter Green totally deserves five stars. All of my interactions with staff have been positive. The application process took a bit longer than I hoped and there was a lot of back and forth. I actually almost backed out and went with another place but I'm glad I didn't. Everything worked out in the end. Maintenance is great! I've needed just a few things fixed over the last few months. It's easy to submit a maintenance request and they are QUICK to respond, which I really appreciate. The pool, fitness center and mail/locker rooms are a great size and are always clean whenever I go to use them. I order lots of things online and not once have I had a package stolen. I don't have a dog, but it seems like a super dog-friendly place. They have clean up stations around the complex and they have a decent sized dog park. Discovery Park is also right across the street so if you need a bigger space for your dog to run around, you can take them there. Parking - I have a private parking garage so I don't have trouble with parking. I do have guests come over, but we usually don't have an issue finding guest parking. I can see how finding parking might be a little more difficult if you are arriving later at night when most spots are taken. Location & Safety - The surrounding area is not the best, but I've always felt comfortable and safe in the complex. The gates are locked 24/7. There are a lot of great places that are just a short drive away. It's a five minute drive to Downtown Sac. 12 minutes to Arden Mall and 15 minutes to the airport. My boyfriend and I are young working professionals and this was the first apartment complex we toured. We fell in love with the community and have been here since July of 2019! The application process was seamless, quick, and easy. Emily, Sarah, and Krista were always happy to answer any of my questions (and I asked a bunch lol!). They have amazing customer service and genuinely care. After living here for about a year and a half, we decided to upgrade to a bigger apartment because we just love Sutter Green and don't want to go anywhere else! Every time I had an issue with maintenance, it was resolved quickly and I always received a follow up from management. Tony is amazing! I've heard horror stories about management not listening to the residents at other complexes, but that's not the case here; Sutter Green actually cares! Another cool thing that Sutter Green does is they have a lot of events to foster a sense of community! To name a few..they had a summer party one year, a Christmas party with drinks and Santa one year, and patio decorating contests! Over the past two years, without exception, they have all been accessible, responsive and responsible to our needs, while encountering and overcoming significant challenges like tenant occupancy increases, local power grid issues and of course, COVID--19. With this, Sarah and her team have earned my respect and without reservation, I would recommend this and other Dennon facilities to family, friends and colleagues. This place is trash. The residents are generally impersonal, rude, and strange. The staff are bottom tier, defensive, and incapable. The corporate office is willingly oblivious and focused on their margins. We just had three days of a metal music festival directly across the street in a big park. Cool lineup. 35,000 people in a non-stop stream past the apartment. All the homeless looking for handout banging on plastic buckets until midnight. Hope you like drums, cause these cheap thin walls will give you a chance to follow the beat before you stuff ear plugs in to sleep. Random festival goers will jump the fence. The police directing traffic in front of the entrance gates will interrogate you before you can drive onto the complex. After a few rounds of questioning, my brother was able to finally convince them he lived here. The park lies on the opposite side of the levy that's outside our window. It keeps the river from flooding the apartment during the rainy season. The park is known to flood every winter. Flood insurance is mandatory for everyone living in this part of Sacramento. The levy has been under constant construction. It's been overdue for repairs. The local news call it the "Next Katrina". Big intersection at the cross roads of the levy. We listen to a variety of performance sports car exhausts race from the red light. It's like NASCAR, but without the fun. All. Day. Long. Lots of homeless in the park. They burn fires at night. We can't open our windows at night because the smell from the fires can be overwhelming. They burn everything from food to trash. You'll get the full experience and spectrum of smells after being here long enough. Sometimes the homeless make it into the complex and sleep on the patio furniture at the clubhouse... so the staff has been bringing it in at night. Or they'll sleep outside peoples apartments. Parents beware. The parking here is a pure nightmare. You'll pay extra for a garage but that doesn't mean you can use it. We've had constant battles to get access to our garage because people just park wherever they want, despite all the "warnings" and "letters". There's zero enforcement. It's just amateur hour here. Don't approach staff: they do not want to be bothered with your petty parking issues. Expect a lot of glad-handing if you complain. Do not expect anything to actually change. The few electric vehicle spots are occupied way beyond our allotted times by lazy residents. Staff sometimes use the spots as extra parking. One staff member in particular likes to park her gas car in the electric spots. We all know her as the one who can't move for anyone if she can't get driven around in a golf cart. You know who you are. Yes, we all talk about you in the gossip circle at the dog park. Speaking of dog parks, the promised agility course never materialized. Who could have seen that coming? Fine. Dog park is full of dog bombs anyhow. The residents don't cleanup, so it's on staff to do it whenever. Some aggressive dogs. A woman was bit outside the park by someone's dog they couldn't control. Last I heard management never figured that one out. Our neighbor up doors has a kid. That's cool. We know when he's home. He runs back and forth. Likes to do jump kicks off the furniture. The kid has lots of energy. Probably gets it from his dad, who keeps irregular hours through the night. We've become intimately familiar with their schedules since the paper thin floors let us hear every movement. Dishes rattle. Dogs look for the source of sound. And we collectively lose our minds. read more

These apartments were beautiful. I only gave it 4 stars because of the parking, but I hear they are fixing that problem. The staff in the office were great and really friendly. We'll miss the pool and the hot tub. We met a lot of great people while we lived there. read more
