My massage therapist gave me different options as far as the type of massage. I stated as long as it's not a deep tissue massage. I had that once & for three days - I was in so much pain that it felt like I'd been in a car accident. So, knowing that he chose a shiatsu massage. I have had one professional massage before at Escape Wellness Spa. I had a female massage therapist who did an okay job, but she could not really get deep enough to get the knots out of my lower and upper back. That is why my girlfriend found a male massage therapist for me to see. Being a guy, I was a little nervous about getting a massage from a male massage therapist, but Kevin did an awesome job making me feel comfortable. The massage itself was great because he could actually massage hard enough. He was careful not to go too hard though and always made sure he wasn't applying too much pressure. I definitely felt like a valued customer and that is why I plan on returning. 5/5 for sure. Kevin did an awesome job, his prices were fair, and it always feels good to support a small local business. The staff say they would refund me for the extra 30 min. My masseuse is very inexperienced, she often forgets to do things, her movements are unnecessary thereby creating noise as she moved around, her massage are not replicate from left to right, her pressure points are very uneven, it felt like she is very inexperienced, I was reluctant to tip her at all. The establishment is a noise trap, any time someone open the front door (with it insane door bell) or talk the next room over, I can hear everything, ruining the whole relaxing experience. EDIT: Tina reached out to me to explain the situation with her staff, I have upgrade from 2 to 3 star after talking to her, although I understand her situation however it does not change my experience at the establishment, should I visit the shop again and receive better treatment, I will make sure to update the change.

Enter Courtney, a licensed massage therapist. In our first 30 minute session, I got relief that lasted several days. She gave me some stretches to do and loads of info on muscle structure that made sense of why I hurt. I'll continue to see her weekly until I have long lasting relief, and probably once a month afterward. Her prices are reasonable, so that will be possible.
