Our son who is now just over 2 has completed his first Stepping Stones year. His two teachers Ms. Celina and Ms. Lisa treat our son and his classmates as if they were their own children. The kids get a lot of care and attention. The classroom environment is a very positive and well organized one. Our son loves going there every single day, which makes life easier for us parents knowing our kid loves it there and is in great hands. The other families who attend there have been very welcoming and friendly. Within just 1 year we have become friends with many of the parents at the school and love hanging out with them outside of school. The staff really goes above and beyond for the children and parents. Whenever we visit the school, everyone's always in a great mood. If you're looking for a school where your kids won't get lost in the mix this is a perfect school. The school is also very safe - everyone there takes school safety very seriously which is so important these days. They even has a summer program for the children which is great. At 2.5 he grabbed a paper towel and cleaned up a spill at home! This was something they taught at school. As a parent I love how I can be involved and I gained many like-minded friends because it is a tight knit community of families who believe early education is a top priority .

There was very little structure or planning throughout the day, which created a chaotic environment for the children. Rather than focusing on improving the classroom environment, staff suggested that my child might have a diagnosis, even though they are not qualified to make medical or developmental assessments. I found this inappropriate and concerning. If staff have developmental concerns, they should communicate specific observations respectfully and encourage parents to speak with their child's pediatrician--not suggest diagnoses. I expected a supportive, well-organized, and professional environment, but that was not my experience.

For the most part these people are all loving and caring. This is our 3rd daycare and it has been going great so far. Always cleaned and they go as far as helping wash blankets and sheets for the kids when there is an accident. Definitely consider this place if you are looking for a daycare! You won't regret it. My only suggestion is to inquire within and take the chance like I did. I couldn't be more comfortable with any other daycare at this time.

My rating is a pretty clear statement about my family's experience using this facility. The two…read morestar rating is because "Ms. D" and "Ms. Stacey" showed genuine care for our son while he was enrolled. Our experience started in early August 2019 when my Wife returned to work after maternity. We scouted a few day care facilities prior to landing with KinderCare and though they were the most expensive of the ones we researched, we went with them because of their stellar reviews, personal recommendation, and proximity to our place of work. Our (then) four month old son started his first week with three incident reports, all in his first three days at KinderCare. All of the incident reports entailed wounds to his face; two self inflicted and one by another child. As concerned parents, we addressed this with the facility director and assistant director immediately. We were assured that we would be contacted asap should our son be hurt again while under their supervision. Though they made good (for the most part) on this assurance, the incident reports continued to flow. In addition to the numerous incident reports, the daily reports they sent to us were inaccurate and lacked detail most of the time. More recently, when I picked-up my son from KinderCare, I noticed a series of scratches around his right eye. I immediately called my wife and she said that she did not receive a call regarding an incident from the day. When she went to follow-up, she was informed (by Ms. Pat) that he had those scratches when she dropped him off in the morning. In addition it was explained (by Ms. Pat) that the staff is "unable to give him the attention he wants when they are with another kid, so we leave him in the crib crying and he flails his arms." In other words, you choose dereliction of duty. If you have read the review to here, I think you can digress that we are attentive parents. As we began to scout other options for daycare, our anxiety increased every day we dropped him off. For two working parents, it is not easy leaving your child in the care of folks you barely know; it is even more frustrating knowing that you are paying for subpar care. His last day at KinderCare (in early October) entailed another sloppy daily report, consisting of mostly vague/incomplete details. The facility wasn't sure if they forgot to feed him (for six hours) or if they gave him another child's formula? To this day it remains a question mark and a scar on two new parents and their five month old son. We are just happy that he is not there anymore.

(Summer 2016) Conveniently, while walking I stumbled upon the window of this Spanish school, the owner had been inside as she was setting the school up. (She was new to the strip of Smithtown) I requested a card and some information. I took a chance by signing my Oldest son up (3 years old)- he is extremely shy, and does not take to many places very easily. I expected him to resist the school (especially because he is shy - young and learning social cues- now throwing in a a second language/ culture) My son took very well. The teacher (also the owner) is more than just a teacher, she truly loves these kids. I am the creep that walked by the school at all random times to check in on my son. I feel safe leaving my son with her. In addition my son comes home with all sorts of information on culture and language. She makes learning less of a chore and more of a game. My oldest son loves it so much that now I send my youngest son (just turned two) and he is thrilled. I can't say enough good things about this school, the teacher & the environment. Parking can stink at times because it's in town, but it's close enough to a corner making parking lots a lot more available for a short little walk. The price is well worth the experience for these children& the owner is more than willing to help you work within your budget- although this is her job you can tell that this is also her dream and passion. She isn't in it for the money.-- and that's a hard thing to find
