Great selection of older and contemporary books as well as fun offerings of blind dates with books. I also love their local authors support and see planets of more things to explore. But I still prefer Oakland's and/or Reno, NV's airport. It felt like we were the only flight that arrived (again), so all hundred of us got through customs quickly. The agents were very quick. Ambiance - A huge location. But SFO is one of the busier airports in the US. I watched you grow from a much smaller location to this. Parking is now very far; you must take a shuttle. Short term hourly parking is $4 for every 30 minutes. $38 maximum. Long term parking = $24 a day. 187 businesses in the airport. 85 of which are dining; 82 shopping, 20 relaxation, etc. 10 gate areas. SFO also has a museum, sky terrace, a kids' spot, lounges, USO, Grand Hyatt, etc. Service - Agents were quick. They did not talk much, which is more than okay with me. Price - We flew French Bee, sorry, I can NOT recommend it. $600 per person with NO frills or anything... Think Spirit airlines, may they rest in peace. Sales tax collected in SFO supports San Mateo county, where this airport is actually physically located. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success since 1927. Free drinks included coffee, tea, and soda and there was a carafe of water and of lemonade and one of cranberry juice. Free alcoholic drinks consisted of red and white wine. The DOWN SIDE was that less than half of the power outlets worked and some of those that did work the plugs were so worn out that my power plug literally fell out of the outlet. Anyways 4 star experience down rated to 3 stars because of this.

My mother called the number on their website repeatedly (probably 5 or 6 times), often she'd get a voice mail box and on two separate occasions when she got through they said she had the wrong number and gave her another number to call. So, she calls the number that they gave her and that number actually is the wrong number having no associating with South Valley Cab. Next, I decide to call South Valley Cab myself to get this straightened out and they give me the same number to this poor individual who I then call asking for South Valley Cab. This individual tells me that someone called about an hour ago asking for a taxi. I told her, "Yeah, that's my mother - I'm trying to get her a taxi to use." I then proceeded to tell her that South Valley Cab is handing out her number. I told her to try it herself by calling the number on their website and they will give you YOUR number. She got a kick out of that. I will add that a couple of days ago I called South Valley Cab in anticipation of using their services (for my mother today). During that phone call they did not deny they were a taxi service, but asked if they could call later that night giving a specific time of 6 or 7PM - they never called back. Well, I guess I should find a different taxi for my mother to use.

We tried to make arrangements a week ahead, two days ahead, that morning but each instructed us to call closer to our desired departure time that evening. The ride was just 4 miles away so we thought we might be left behind for a larger fare. The gentleman answering the phones at South Valley Cab was the most responsive and assuring. So that's the company we tried. South Valley Cab showed up exactly on time and was both professional and polite. He took us directly to our destination. Upon asking, he confirmed he would be available late into the evening and feel free to call the company for the return to our home. And quite late into the small hours of the morning, we called and the gentleman told us they would be there within 10 minutes. And he was. Same friendly person, Bobby, with a quick ride home in a clean car. Professional and friendly. Perfect! We will definitely use this company again.

It was a great experience considering it was a long and expensive taxi ride on a rainy morning! My husband called at 5 AM, and the driver said he could be there in 15 minutes. My children and I weren't ready to leave yet, so my husband asked if he could come between 5:40 and 5:45. I think he showed up at 5:43. Based on prior taxi experience, I was expecting him to be late so this was a great surprise! He was extremely pleasant; we chatted about food and family. He also did a few extra things that really made the experience stand out: 1. I have 2 toddlers, so I need to install car seats in taxis. Our last driver was very annoyed when I tried to install the seats instead of having the babies sit on our laps. However, this morning our driver jumped up to help me install and remove them. 2. He did not leave the meter running for "wait time" while I loaded the kids at home and unloaded them and their car seats at the airport. 3. He drove all the way up to the rental car counter at the airport (my destination), even though he had to fully enter the parking facility to do so. I appreciated this because I had the 2 babies, 2 car seats, laptop, diaper bags, and lunch boxes to maneuver to a rental car by myself. He ensured I had to walk the shortest possible distance. I've taken my fair share of taxis, and I wish previous experiences had been as pleasant as this one. Next time we go on vacation, we will absolutely call 24/7 Taxi first.
