If you close your eyes, put on some music, and use every ounce of power in your imagination, it's almost like you're lying under the warm rays of the sun. For me, personally, tanning also helps a great deal with the winter blues. Sunsational Tan has several locations, but Greentree is most convenient for me. It's located right in the shopping plaza off Noblestown Road and it's easy to find. When I first walked in it was a bit surprising how small this location was, but that doesn't necessarily speak for the quality of the beds or service here. I haven't had a package with Sunsational since 2013, so I was in need of a refresher on their different packages. Joe, who was the only worker in the store when I was visiting, answered all of my questions without hesitation and without making me feel like a bother. He was excellent and he had a great personality that gave me a good laugh along with helping me get set up with a new VIP package. One complaint that I have is that Sunsational seems to make packages as confusing as possible. To get a budget-conscious package that seems to fit your needs is almost impossible without feeling like you are missing out on what could be a better deal that you're simply unaware of. Between my last visit to Sunsational and my most recent, I've gone to several other tanning places that offer simple, easy to understand monthly packages. Here, it is not so simple. Signing up for the VIP package allows you to tan at any of their several locations. This is probably my favorite feature of the package because there is 1 other location I pass by often. When I signed up, Sunsational's Facebook page featured a promotion that offered a $1 signup plus your monthly package fee which starts at $29.99. All in all, this isn't a bad deal for unlimited tanning. Also, I chose the cheapest package but got $50 in free upgrade credit and that goes a long way. The cancellation procedure has to be done 30 days in advance and has to be a written and signed notice done in-store. A bit archaic of a process to cancel a tanning package but it is what it is. I can see why this may lead to some customer frustration, though. It almost reminds me of enrolling in auto-pay for a utility but instead it's just a tanning package. Super serious for something not so serious. The customer service and quality of the beds at Sunsational have always been why I keep coming back, and the Greentree location holds the same high standards for quality and service I've come to know and love. Overall, Sunsational earns is 3/5 stars and is ok in my book.
