I recently had a haircut and, after living with it for about a week, realized I would like a small adjustment. I simply wanted someone to run thinning shears through the bottom of my hair--a quick touch-up that would likely take only a couple of minutes. When I called, Kelly answered the phone and was dismissive, telling me no one had time to help. When I called back to ask for a manager's name, her attitude changed and she suddenly seemed more willing to help, but it did not feel genuine. I was repeatedly told that everyone was booked, despite my request being very minor. What disappointed me most was the lack of customer service and willingness to accommodate a long-time client. I wasn't asking for a new appointment or a lengthy correction--just a quick adjustment following a recent haircut. I would have expected a salon of this caliber, especially with directors such as Amy on staff, to make more of an effort to ensure customer satisfaction. I have always enjoyed Pure Lux and hope this feedback is taken constructively, but this experience left me feeling undervalued as a loyal customer testing out the salon.

However, Kara, the manager, went truly above and beyond to make things right. She followed up multiple times without me ever needing to reach out, and her level of care and professionalism was exceptional. It's the kind of customer service you rarely see anymore, and I was so impressed. I also had a facial with Madison that was absolutely amazing. So relaxing and my skin looked and felt refreshed, hydrated, and glowing afterward. She promised me this would not be a problem. As you can see from the attached picture it was not the case. They sent me for a massage 30 minutes after the pedicure and they left my feet out to dry. This is STILL the result. Normally I'd just go back, but my wedding is in 2 days and you're an hour away! My toes look horrible and smudged. The massage was pretty good but she didn't work on my lower back as I asked. If she had it would have been a very good massage. My back was actually still sore when I left. Facial was OK (but she was SO kind and caring). Unfortunately she left exfoliating cream all over my neck. I was wiping it off all the way home. And my face felt so oily (I don't have oily skin). The staff were all INCREDIBLY nice and it was a VERY clean facility. The staff was absolutely the best part of the experience but I'm so so so disappointed that my toes look like this for my wedding. I should just redo them myself since it's another 60 bucks to redo them somewhere else. And within a couple days of my wedding is a huge stress. For $210 a person before the tip for the 3 services (plus a jacuzzi bathtub stint) this left me a little disappointed.
