Libraries are my happy place. How about you? Personally, I have three library cards for three different library systems, just in case one library doesn't have the particular book I am looking for. The Sunland-Tujunga branch is an important part of my arsenal of local libraries. While it was closed for much of the pandemic, it is now up and running again. It's easy to search the catalog online and then pop over to pick up your books, DVD's or CD's. This branch has a convenient parking lot and ample free street parking right in front. This is my favorite library in the foothill area! I prefer this location over the La Crescenta and Montrose location because they are SO family friendly and their librarians are SO helpful!! They host events for kids every Wednesday at 3:30 and my kids always have a blast. We even host play dates here and they are SO lovely with kids and have a wonderful children's area. Their holiday events are the best! I always feel so welcomed here with my kids. read more

This place is terrible for a public library I wonder how they treat children? Some woman at the front desk would not help me she refused to. She gave me a dirty look! . She's just sitting there doing needlepoint and ignoring anything I'm saying to her and acting like I'm dumb! I just needed help using the computer and printing something off of my phone! I really needed something printed and I don't know what to do now. Terrible! read more

The homeless are starting to have tent here, and the staff doesn't say anything to them there's a guy with long sleeves always sleeping outside on the floor, but 'Merica am I right? The front staff doesn't even greet everyone only some it seems like. The bathroom doors are wide open no privacy. Place seems close to jail if anything. read more

This is such a cute and quiet library! During one summer weekend, my mom and I went to this branch to return some library books, because we happened to be in the area (we actually borrowed the books from the Downtown Central Library, so this was our first time visiting the Sunland-Tujunga library branch.) Contrary to what some people below have been saying, the staff members were very friendly, smiling when we entered and asking how our days were going. The library itself is very quiet and clean. Inside, to the immediate left of the library entrance, there is also a small, quaint used-book store, which has a surprisingly good collection of both ancient and recent books. I bought a paperback version of "The Time Traveler's Wife" for $0.50, and it was in excellent condition! My mom bought three hardback John Grisham novels for $0.25 each, and they were in good condition, too :) Besides the one elderly female worker (who was also very welcoming), we were the only ones in the store. It felt like a secret hideout where one could read to her heart's content! After we finished our browsing and paid for our books, the worker kindly told us to come back for another visit - I will be definitely coming back! read more

They were very kind and helpful. I came in quickly before closing time to get a library card. The staff took the time to educate me on how to use the Overdrive, and add a new library. The librarian showed me step by step see how to find out your recommended books, how many others have recommended, to push back a book on hold to a certain date, and a few more. They have a few events such as movie nights on Fridays and quilting, reading on particular days. I highly recommend this library. read more

Why rate a library badly? This is my local library, going here since I was a kid. A really nice little bookstore. They have upped their displays and selection of new books which has a variety of interesting topics. There are new staff which has been really refreshing to see. Great place to go to in the summer to beat the heat! read more

Located in Tujunga, CA, this library is a pretty small yet quiet one. There are a limited selection of books; however, you can request a book here and they will get it delivered. The library is pretty clean for a public service building. The staff is also pretty friendly and knowledgeable. Parking is pretty limited and rather convenient. Thankfully there is some street parking zones right next to the library, but I am unsure of the time limit of that zone. Internet speeds are pretty slow when compared to larger libraries such as the Glendale downtown branch. Running some internet speed diagnostics, I was able to get 5-6 mbps download speeds and 1-2 mbps upload speeds. Bathrooms are relatively clean. Overall this is a decent library for a small city like Tujunga, CA. I would highly suggest an investment for faster internet speeds since we are in the Internet age. Also I would recommend some updates to the layout of the floor, but obviously that is not my call. It's a decent branch, I just wish that there was some additional resources for its patrons (i.e. improved printing services, events, and some private booths for studying). read more

Very noisy environment, some staffs are very loud,rude and unprofessional! I went there to study and the person next to me was listening to the news on his phone's speaker! It was bot enough, 2of the staffs came behind me and started talking to each other very loudly! And of course I couldn't study a word! read more

Just your average library. A bit run down, but not so bad. There's a section just for kids. Printing is 25c a copy. Parking is OK. Wi-Fi is normally fine, you don't need to be a member of the library to log on to the wi-fi (in some libraries, you do). read more

This is the noisiest library I have ever been to. I tend to study at libraries because they are often the quietest places where I can hear myself think. Not this place. Not only are people loud, such as answering calls on speaker, obnoxiously loud expression of irritation or laughter, or people having unnecessarily loud conversations, but the employees don't say a word about it. I mean, people are having conversations standing right next to each other yet I can hear them and join in from across the whole library. Starbucks isn't this noisy. Each time I've come here to study, I've left because of the noise level and I've never experienced this at any of the other libraries I've visited. There are so many other issues to point out but this one resonates with me each time. What happened to the traditional library atmosphere? read more

Great local library - S-T is convenient, well-lit, a terrific work space with plenty of outlets for computers (unlike LCF, which had a renovation that forgot to put in outlets!). Good light, great air conditioning, helpful librarians, GREAT collection of DVDs, including recent hits. I work out of here 1-2 days a week because it's quiet, spaceous, comfortable. Even the chairs have little knobs on the back so I can hang my tote - another convenience missing fro the LCF and La Crescenta branches. Not the biggest selection of adult books, but some quirky titles. Also, great programs for kids and seniors. All in all, it's what a library should be. read more

A sweet little friendly library- they have books in many different languages, even farsi!

Parking is not great here and the selection is pretty small. But I use it for items I order online and it is easy to pick them up from the hold shelf. Librarians are not the warmest and it took me a long time to get some of them to be mildly friendly. There are weirdos in the back looking at porn occasionally. Might want to watch your kids....I like the new releases shelves and always browse them quickly. They have a shelf foe brand new releases that you can check out for a short period. They also have a used book shop where you can pick up all kinds of books for a very small price. read more

The librarians are super rude or apathetic depending on the day. They are not helpful and when you ask questions. It seems like they are upset that they have to do their job. Parking is also a problem. The lot is really small and it can be difficult to get out of due to the design of the lot. Also, when you try to call their mailbox is full, yet things can't be dealt with over email. Unimpressed. read more
