I was blown away by this office! A friend referred me. My cleaning was very gentle and attentive, the office is squeaky clean and calming, and I got a lot of information about my teeth that I have never gotten from YEARS of visits to other dentistries. (And not upsell information. Dr. Nguyen was very honest - "you don't need a root canal for this," "if you're thinking about Invisalign consider that first" types of conversation that felt very trustworthy.) In most dentistries I feel like a piece of meat being passed from one person to another, and as a result I hate going to the dentist, but at Sunlight I felt very cared for. I have so much more information about how to take care of my teeth and gums. My cleaning was also painless, which makes me wonder about all the painful cleanings I've gotten in previous years from other businesses. I would recommend this business to just about anyone (and I live in the loop! While it was 20 minutes' drive each way, there was no wait, so my time commitment was probably actually shorter.) Dr. Nguyen is a class act. He has a beautiful new office with state of the art equipment. Digital x-rays, digital charting, flatscreen TVs in every room. The thing is, a lot of new offices like this have a lot of bills to pay. I've been around people in the dental industry all my life, so I know what to look for. Dr. Nguyen is a straight shooter. He doesn't overdiagnose and overtreat to pay overhead, as a lot of other dental offices are infamous for. He is conservative with his treatment plans and gives you options according to your comfort level and finances. He cares, he's sincere and you can trust him. He's also not just an accomplished clinician, but he's a talented cosmetic dentist. He has a great eye. He fixed a large chip on one of my front teeth and transformed my smile. Dr. Nguyen also has an amazing team. His assistant Yesica and office manager Kathleen are pros. I live in the Heights and drive to Pearland because I trust him and know I will get superior treatment and customer service. He's worth it. read more

Wonderful office, the Dr. makes the office! My story is that I have always been afraid of going to the dentist, and furthermore, I often feel ashamed of my smile. I also have had bad experiences where I felt like no one cared to take care of me AND they shame me into not taking care of my teeth. I waited until I am in pain to come in, and Dr. Nguyen was so nice, gentle, and really didn't make me feel any shame at all! I thought, wow, so not all dentists are jerks. Not all dental visits are scary, AND never wait until I am in pain again to come in. Getting sedated was also a great option, I was pretty much sleeping while getting my broken wisdom teeth removed, when he woke me up to tell me I was done, I thought they were joking with me, and I thought it was so cruel to joke, but they were really done! I love Dr. Nguyen! I was very impressed that he took the time to go over my x-rays, explain terminology, and discuss his treatment plan for my visit. Dr. Nguyen is knowledgeable, professional, and personable. His staff and dental office are also top notch. I am recommending him to all of my family members and friends in the Pearland, TX area. It's unfortunate that I did not find him sooner. I have been to several other dental practices in the area before only to be passed off for cleaning to a hygienist or to have my appointment cancelled without warning. Dr. Nguyen is also very conservative in presenting his options and letting you think and decide also, and doesn't seem aggressive like some other dentists. Great clinic, I love Dr. Nguyen and his assistants. If you are in Pearland you should check out this clinic, it's privately own and not a corporate office and you can tell the difference. They do not push any treatment on you, they just tell what you need and answer your questions so you can make your own decisions. Other offices own by corporates that I have been to seem to put a lot of pressure on the dentist and staff to push treatment on you and sell you treatment you do not need, it's really odd to see that in healthcare. Great clinic! Personal and comfortable. I hate going to a place with tons of kids running around and screaming. This is not a place like that. I appreciate the relaxing quiet atmosphere and overall I like Dr. Nguyen and the staff. They take care of you and it's in and out quick with no long wait for 20-30 min just to be seated like other places. Dr. Nguyen is good. I highly recommend this place. There are so many dentists out there, but this place is special. Other dentists just run in and out and they can be very rough and tough with their hands. Upon walking into Sunlight Dental, I was immediately blown away by how comforting the atmosphere was. In previous dental office experiences, the waiting area can feel stuffy and stale. That was not the case with Sunlight. They have a very nice open office plan with plenty of room as well as a complimentary coffee bar which was very nice. When I was called, the dental assistant made sure I was comfortable the whole time and the Dr. Nguyen was extremely professional. Dr Nguyen and his staff are amazing. As a kid I was traumatized at the dentist office never to step foot in to a dentist until I was forced. I was paired up with him through 1-800-DENTIST a few years ago for some dental work. He did an outstanding job! Today I had the first filling done since I was a kid so long ago and he did a beautiful job! He's very empathetic and LISTENS to his patients. Great experience. I was sedated while getting dental care and I was comfortable and might have gone to sleep taking a nice nap. I can't believe I have avoided going to the dentist for so long out of fear of pain and discomfort. Having a good dentist also helps a lot, someone who is gentle and easy going like Dr. Nguyen. They made me aware of other things that need to be fixed but they did not pressure me. I recently visited this dentist and had a horrible experience with the main dentist, who is an Asian man. He was incredibly rude and made me feel insecure and scared about my teeth, prioritizing his business over my well-being. He also bashed my teeth and made me feel terrible about my oral health. I've been to Sunlight several times now for my routine cleaning and x-rays. I have only positive things to say about Dr. Nguyen and his staff. Everyone is very friendly, the office is clean, bright and modern. They are also open on Saturdays which is a plus for me as it's hard to get away from work on the weekdays.
