Unfortunately, I had a really bad root canal that started giving me problems before my first appointment, so I was worried Dr. Nguyen wouldn't help me until after my first visit. Thankfully, they prescribed me meds to help with the pain. Everyone is very knowledgeable & they make you feel like family from the moment you step foot in the door. The office is always clean and they have a cute and well-organized coffee station. After 1 root canal & 12 fillings - I know 12 is a lot - my teeth feel & look 10 times better. I have no complaints whatsoever about the actual dental treatment I received. My issue was with the billing communication and office management afterward. After noticing charges that appeared higher than what I understood from my EOB, I contacted the office for clarification. Marlenn, the business manager, initially responded saying they would check whether I was entitled to any refund, but the charges themselves still were not clearly explained. After that, I went nearly a full month without meaningful follow-up despite attempting to get clarification about what I was being charged for. Because I still did not understand the charges, I filed a chargeback dispute for the amount above what I believed was allowed based on my EOB and contacted my insurance company. Only through my insurance company did I finally learn that certain charges were separate out-of-pocket office fees not billed through insurance. Once that was explained, I released the chargeback because I had in fact received the services. Only afterward did I receive a short, unsigned email from the office listing the charges. The tone came across as curt and dismissive. Patients absolutely have the right to question charges they do not understand. You respond today, you get reviewed today, and I won't sign either.

My husband made my appointment so I just showed up, filled out paperwork and had my appointment. The wait was about 10 minutes to get my xrays done then I was taken to room for gum exam, then a 5 min wait to see Dr Patel (who was super friendly and helpful) then the benefits coordinator came in and allowed me to pay and schedule my next appointment in the room. Finally a short wait to see the hygienist (thorough, quick, friendly) who performed my cleaning and fluoride treatment. Overall I felt great about the experience. The proximity to my house and the overall organization and professionalism will bring me back here in six months for my next checkup.

On 12/16/24, I had teeth whitening done on the upper & lower arch. Even though I told them that my insurance pays for 50% of each arch, the lazy office staff did not verify my coverage, but instead has me pay in full and said they would issue a credit when the insurance paid their portion. Fast forward to March 2025, I go in for an appointment and bring them 2 letters that my insurance company has sent them asking for additional information on the whitening service that I had. PMD had never responded to the request for information!!! Now I am asked to pay for that days appointment when i should have had a credit on my account! Fast forward again to July 2025, I am scheduled for an appt on the 21st. This time I call the office prior to my appt and STILL no credit. My insurance paid them $227 which should now be a credit on my account. I am furious. I cancelled my appt and I will no longer do business with these people. I have also filed a complaint with the BBB and TSBDE! Next, it will be small claims court. It is really stupid that I have to waste time on this! BEWARE! Make them verify services with the insurance. Do not pay in full waiting for them to give you a refund!!
