Very clean, good location and plenty of comfortable, outdoor seating. However the prepared foods are really lacking, especially compared to other Whole Foods. No sandwiches at all and sad pizza. However the Greek-style and salad bars are excellent and a decent value. Again, with a caveat: they use sunflower instead of olive oil. Why?? They have their own brand of excellent olive oil, why wouldn't they use that on their dolmas? Such a weird decision. It's not like you need the prepared foods to be shelf stable. Of course it tastes just like sunflower oil instead of olive oil. Sad. Otherwise the dolmas are really good, not dry or rubbery like they can be. Changing out the oil brought the flavor up from a 4 to a 7. The place is pretty small, maybe half the size of a typical grocery store. The alcohol section is tiny and picked through, The freshest breads sold out. Even saw a guy buy out their entire stock of 3 12-packs of farmhouse ale. If the place was bigger then they could have the foot traffic to offer more prepared foods and a larger stock. There's really no deli section, butcher or seafood section. They got rid of their house brand cold press juices which were excellent and priced well compared to the competition. The actual whole foods (cereals and beans) was not stocked for the most desirable stuff like black rice. Maybe 20% out of stock and the other 10% was clearly not stocked in a very long time. They did have buckwheat groats at $5.50/lb though which is fantastic. I think the Greek food and salad bar is the only redeeming quality because it's a good price and was fresh and stocked. Just be sure to poor off the oil and add your own olive oil and it tastes much better that way. If you're careful and observant you can find some good deals and rare products not stocked anywhere else.

Found this store online yesterday and realized it was not too far from me, so I decided to take a ride and stop in. They had a product that I had been looking at for some time now and i was thrilled to have gotten that WITH A 10% new customer/local gym account discount ! Their dog, Raya, had me at hello! So sweet and friendly. The owners are also extremely welcoming and knowledgable. They know the supplement business and refuse to stock their store with anything less than the best. They can give you the manufacturing history of each product, ingredient details, etc... They clearly really do their homework before stocking a product and they also try the majority of the supplements themselves! Not like when you walk into a national nutrition store and ask "have you tried it?!" And you get a "ummm..no". These guys go the extra mile to provide quality supplements, that they can attest to, first-hand experience. Aside from all of that, they are so nice to talk to! If you are tired of dumping your dollars into products recommended from national chains that DO NOTHING, visit Steele House. Their new store on Franklin Farm Lane is very neat, well-lit, and easily navigable. They carry a wide selection of foods for those on restricted diets like gluten-free, diary-free, and more. Both shelf-stable and refrigerated/frozen foods. Beware, it'll cost you a hefty amount for these foods! I feel this store carries a great selection, but their prices are too high. Some things here and there feel reasonable, but generally I can find the same items online from trusted sources for much cheaper. Sure, there may be shipping and a wait, but it's often worth it. I come here to browse sometimes, but have also relied upon it for homeopathic remedies. When my hubby cracked a rib, he wanted the homeopathic remedy to help speed healing. It was nice to go to this store and get it. They had it in stock, just what I wanted. Very convenient. It seems like The Nutrition Center is family-run, and I see two younger adults there sometimes which I tend to think might be the owner's children. I'm not sure just how knowledgeable these two are about the details for items they carry, but they seem friendly enough. Their website could use some regular care, they still have information about their grand opening from October of 2013 and it is now June of 2014. Perhaps adding in some information about new items, specials or sales, or educational information would spruce it up. Sadly though, it doesn't seem like they really run specials or sales. While I really do like knowing this store is close-by for times when I don't want to wait for something to come via mail, I find it too expensive to frequently shop here. I adore supporting local businesses, but I'm also not rich enough to spend that much money there when I can spend far less online. They've been around for a long time, so I guess some can afford it.

Any time I have questions, they're willing to help. I also appreciate how many lines they continuously keep on sale. I buy Life Extension supplements here, and they always have it 20% off of the regular retail prices you find anywhere else or online. I've noticed many of their other brands are also marked down. They are very competitive with online in my opinion. I would much rather shop here than find somewhere online because they're incredibly kind and have given me so much of their time and for that, I love supporting them.
