I have never written a bad review for anyone or anything before, but given the circumstances of this encounter I feel I have no choice now. I have been a teacher (between Bay, Walton, & Washington Counties) for 16 years, I do community service, I'm active in my church, etc... in other words, I am an educated, professional, Christian woman - certainly not the type of person to ever talk bad about anyone or gossip out of spite or malice. In fact, I have always tried to avoid conflict at all costs, but I am so beyond disgusted & disappointed with the way I was treated by (and my entire experience with) the "rental manager" of Chipola Realty that I felt compelled to say something so that hopefully the same thing won't happen to anyone else. Awful customer service... she talked down to me, she wouldn't answer my questions, & she kept cutting me off when I tried to speak or ask a question. She spoke to me extremely disrespectfully for absolutely no reason at all. I have no idea what her name is, but I honestly have no idea how she got to be in the position that she is in, because she is seriously the most rude & unprofessional person that I think I have ever encountered in any sort of public relations position... definitely not the "face" that I would want to represent my business. Disgraceful.

Screw this place. We found a house to rent that we LOVED…read moreand sorely needed! They said we were the first and only applicants so we were guaranteed to get it. We submitted the application n fees within an hour of the showing. They said it was a $35 application fee. They neglected to mention there was an additional separate $15 fee. So it's $50 in total!!! Then we didn't hear from them. And didn't. And didn't. And when I finally got an answer at the end of the following week they gave us excuses about being sick. And then the next day we got the news that we had not been accepted for the rental that oh 3 other people applied somehow in the time the realtor was "sick" and one of them got the house because our income was too low. We have a $6k a month income. We have flawless rental history. No reason why we should have been turned down especially having been the first to apply. Or were we? Lots of lies. Here we are a month later and our bank account just overdrafted because oh they "forgot" to charge the $35 fee so they just went and did it without any notice. They refused to refund or cover the overdraft fee. Do yourself a favor and avoid these people. They're clearly unprofessional and have issues with being dishonest. Thank God we didn't rent from them. No telling what kind of nightmare it might have turned into.

The worst real estate company I have ever been in contact with…read more First of all when my mother moved into her house from this company, it had bugs (roaches which we had to get rid of). The tile on the floor was cracked. The place needed painting (which we had to do). The dishwasher was broken and for the entire year my mother lived there, maintenance never fixed it even after numerous request. The refrigerator malfunctioned. And instead of replacing it with a new one, they kept trying to repair the old one with no success. The air conditioning unit broke and it took them almost 2 weeks to come out to fix it. And finally last but not least. My mother's lease was signed on January 5, 2017 ( a one year lease). She was told they were not renewing her lease and she had to vacate the premises by December 31, 2017. Not on January 5, 2018 like her lease stated. Then they told her for everyday she was not out of the house after December 31st, she was going to be charged $37.50 per day, something that they told her and did not put down on paper. THESE ARE A BUNCH OF LYING CROOKS WHO TRY TO GET OVER ON THE EDLERLY AND ANYONE ELSE THEY THINK THAT IS VURNERABLE. I beg anyone who is thinking about renting from these individuals, please rethink your options and rent from someone else. On a grading scale they get an F-!!!
