Our daughter started at Sunny Daycare at 10 months old, and as first-time parents, we were naturally nervous about her adjusting. However, talking with Tahira immediately put our minds at ease. My son has been going to sunny day care for a year now and what better day to write a review for Ms. Tahira on teacher's appreciation day. My son started going at the age of 2 and i am so blessed that i found this day care .The way my son adjusted in just one week it was beyond my expectations. The meals are provided , kids have lots of toys to play, their outdoor play area is secured and child proof and learning is good . It's been a year my son is already familiar with numbers , alphabets , colors etc. Ms Tahira ensures to provide safe and healthy environment for all the kids and the best part is she keeps us posted with kids pictures everyday for all day long. I bet no other day care does that . My elder daughter went to different day care and it was really good but cant beat the experience i am having with Ms Tahira's services. Sunny Day Care has been a home away from home for my son who started at 15 months. He loves Tahira and her helpers. They take extra care to make sure your child's needs are met. My baby has trouble taking naps away from home so they will help him by rocking him. He has also learned so much while attending this day care. Tahira at Sunny Day Car is such a gift! We have our 20 month old B/G twins with her full time since they were 18 months. Tahira is on top of everything! Whether she notices a rash on your child or if your child isn't feeling well, we get notified right away. She's wonderful in working WITH us so the twins can have consistency and routine. We have been sending our 2 year old to sunny day care for over a month now and we are extremely happy with the service. The home has all the safety guardrails in place for infants and toddlers. Their backyard is also well made and accessible for kids. This way they get fresh air all the time. My son took 2 weeks to adjust but they are well trained and very supportive during the entire process. We get pictures and updates all throughout the day. This was the first daycare that my toddler went to, and as a first time parent, I was inevitably very nervous about the transition. Our daughter has been attending Sunny Daycare since she was about 10 months old, for about half a year now. When Tahira, the director, gave us a tour in the beginning, we immediately liked the small group atmosphere in a home environment. Over time, it's been great to see our daughter interact with kids her age as well as other kids slightly older than her. They play together, celebrate birthdays together, and have a lot of fun. We also appreciate it that our daughter is allowed to nap at her own pace, transitioning to one nap per day when she was ready. I am happy to say that she quickly adapted to the daycare routine. She enjoys playing outside as well, and loves going down the slide. One day, when dropping my daughter off at daycare in the morning, I noticed that some of the other kids were suddenly walking on their own and were all following Tahira as she came out to greet us, which was very exciting to see! My daughter is almost walking on her own too, especially when someone is holding her hand. I feel like she is developing very quickly while attending the daycare, and her social skills definitely developed a lot during her time here. The teacher-student ratio for infants at Sunny Daycare is very good, with two teachers taking care of four infants, so my daughter and the other children always receive the attention they needed. Tahira consistently sends real-time or near real-time photos of the children's activities and meals, so I never have to worry or guess what my daughter is doing throughout the day. In addition, she always takes the time to give me personal updates when I pick up my daughter, which I greatly appreciate. It's uncommon for daycares to provide such detailed communication, as it requires a significant amount of time and effort. This is a long overdue review for Tahira (the director of Sunny Day Care). I cannot say enough good things about this daycare. Tahira is a very sweet and warm lady who treats all the children in her daycare like her own kids. The teacher-student ratio here for infanta is very good. There's always two teachers taking care of 4 infants. My daughter and other children there always got the attention that they needed. Tahira always sent out photos of what they were eating and doing in real time or close to real time. I never had to worry about or wonder what my daughter was doing or how she's doing. Besides the photos she also always took time to update me in person when I picked my daughter up. I was really grateful for that. Trust me, no daycare gives you that much updates about your child, because honestly that's a lot of work and most teachers out there wouldn't want to spend that time and effort. But Tahira truly cares, so she spend extra effort to communicate with the parents. Tahira is also very patient and understanding. My daughter was crying a lot in the beginning and didn't eat much and I was really worried. But Tahira paid extra attention to her and slowly my daughter started to love the place. I know Tahira does that to every child when they need special attention. You can trust that your child is in good hands in this daycare. Again, those are just some of the many good things about Sunny Day Care. It was a very good experience for us. Too bad I hand plans for my daughter to go to a bilingual daycare, so we switched. We started our daughter at Sunny Daycare at 7.5 months old. Her separation anxiety had just kicked in, and her favorite place to nap was on a parent, usually in a carrier. We were really nervous about whether she would feel safe and happy somewhere away from her parents, and about whether and how she'd sleep at daycare. It turns out we had nothing to worry about. From day one, Tahira treated her like she was her own, giving her all the love and comfort she needed to get accustomed to a new environment. Within just a couple days, our daughter was adjusted to the new routine, and after about a week and a half, she started kicking with excitement each morning as we approached the door to Tahira's house. One of the things I appreciate most is that Tahira and her helpers recognize that each baby is different, and they work hard to give each child what they need to feel safe and happy. For example, Tahira worked with us to gradually improve the quality and duration of our daughter's naps, which is no easy feat. She also knows what my daughter enjoys and finds interesting - whether it's making music or endless walking practice - and she gives her lots of opportunities to explore and develop those interests. Before starting daycare, sending my daughter somewhere else for the day felt almost unimaginable. She had known only us since arriving, very recently, into this world - how could we just hand her off to strangers? Since starting at Sunny Daycare, though, I have never once worried about her safety or wondered whether she felt secure and cared for. Instead, it feels like her family has grown to include Tahira and her helpers, and we all feel so lucky to have them in our lives. I can't recommend Sunny Daycare highly enough. read more

We recently moved to the city and were looking for a daycare where my kid will not feel homesick. When we meet Tahira, her greeting smile and the way she walked us through her day care was the point I decided to keep my kid in her care. Tahira is like grand mom to my son who was just 6 months old when I left him with her. She understood that kids take time to settle down and was patient for several weeks until kid was happy to be with her. Considering I have elder kids, work and ongoing education, she was very receptive of my needs and ensured that baby gets all the care that I would have otherwise provided. The best qualities I like about her is she is very pleasant, caring and really loves children. There were days when she had to carry the baby for whole day because he was cranky, however, at the end of the day she would be more concerned about the baby's well being than getting frustrated or annoyed. I think it's a very rare quality that she possess. I really recommend her and would love to see my baby grow in her arms :) read more

This review is a year overdue, but I have been meaning to write it since I thought this business deserved praise. We came to Sunny Day Care as a temporary fix because at the time we were unable to lock down child care for my 4-month old son. My maternity leave was ending and we were still in the process of searching for a more permanent solution. Tahira, the owner, was willing to offer a part-time slot while one of her usual clients were on vacation. We only needed 3 days a week for one month, and usually the kids she looks after are full-time only. Taking us in only partially benefitted her because she only required us to pay for the days we were there. But she saw that we were in need and thought that helping us out was more important than making extra money. My son had special needs and was sensitive or allergic to certain things, but one of the best things about Tahira is she's very responsive and communicative. A plus for me as a first-time mom was the photo messages of my son throughout the day. It was one more thing on Tahira's long list of tasks for the day, but she knew it was something that some parents found joy in. If the roster wasn't full, my husband and I agreed that we would've definitely stayed with Sunny Day Care. read more

As our son got about 6 months old, we started looking for a daycare which could provide him with the same loving and protective environment that he got at home while also something which could help him get to his developmental milestones quickly. After exhausting our search in several family and group day cares, we were finally convinced that there was nothing even close to convincing like Sunny Day Care although it was not the best option for commute for us. Tahira spent so much time with us explaining every tiny bit of detail in the day care and answering every silly question that we as new parents had. The facility is immaculate with every tiny potential hazard for babies baby proofed and then the ton of toys and outside playing area simply blows your mind in terms of what more could you expect from a home based day care. Our son adjusted in the new environment right from day one and had already started smiling as we handed him over in the morning to Tahira. He seemed to possess the same bond with Tahira and the other caretakers as he has with us as we observed him as time passed and each time we picked him up. Also, I bet there are not many day cares which can boast of the timings that Sunny Day care provides and Tahira is super accommodating in the drop and pick up schedules. In the end, I would just say that Sunny Day Care took all our worries away and it has been a great experience for both us as parents and our son who has made so many new friends and accomplished so much in terms of his developmental milestones (montessori style learning and day long activities would be credited for those). We needed a temporary daycare for our 3 year old niece and found Tahira's Sunny daycare to be the perfect place for her. 1. Everyday Tahira and her staff welcomed our niece with loving smile and open arms. Our niece suffered from separation anxiety for the first 2 days but then quickly began enjoying the daycare. 2. Tahira was very responsive on chat and kept us up to date on our niece's experience especially the first two days when she was still adjusting to the new place. Each day, we also received plenty of pictures throughout the day. 3. Tahira had a large backyard with plenty of age appropriate tricycles, slides and other toys that our niece explored with great curiosity and really enjoyed playing there with her new friends. Our daughter has been inSunny daycare since she was about 14mo old (she's now nearly 2). We chose it because of its small group atmosphere (8-10 kids total) in a home environment, where she can interact with a broad range of kids (ages 0-4) not just her own class. She learns a lot from the older kids about social expectations and language, and she likes to play with the young babies as well. Other perks we liked are the generous hours (7:30-6:30), that food is provided so we don't have to think about it, and its close location to my work. I also appreciated that my daughter was not "forced" to adhere to a specific nap schedule like you have to in larger daycares- she was allowed to nap at her own pace, transitioning to one nap per day on her own when she was ready. Tahira is incredibly responsive and flexible and has been very easy to work with. Our girl is now talking up a storm and also now knows some Urdu and has bonded with the staff there. If you're looking for a small home daycare environment, Sunny Daycare is a great choice! read more

Our two-old daughter has been going to this daycare for 4 months and 2 days per week. Now when I say to her that tomorrow is daycare day she just does "yeah"! At the beginning it was hard for her, but Tahira suggested to adjust her schedule differently so that our daughter could come every day for a few hours (instead of 2 full days) just to get used to going there and be more comfortable and it worked so well! The whole team was very patient with our daughter although she did not speak English and communication was not as easy as with other kids her age. I was so pleased with the level of care and attention my infant twins received at Sunny Day Care! Tahira is so warm, friendly and thoughtful.
