My son attended Sunny Days Academy for a year. We are sad to part ways, and are only doing so because we are moving. Sunny Days is a nurturing environment, with kind and caring teachers. Each day I was confident that my son would be safe and well cared for. The center director Alex communicates well and is so kind. As for the price, you can't beat it for this area. They include breakfast, lunch and a snack. Each day we receive an end of day report telling us all about our child's day. We will miss Sunny Days and couldn't recommend it more for anyone looking for a center for their child. read more

I had the pleasure of sending my 2 children to Sunny Days. The level of care and love that they show families is top notch. The facility is clean and they make sure our kiddos are well fed. My last graduate is about to head to Kindergarten. Given the Pandemic, I was a bit nervous about her ability to thrive in Kinder, but her teachers were PHENOMENAL and got her to where she needed to be. Have been apart of the sunny days family for almost 5 years and finally had to say goodbye only because it was time. It was a very sad day. Hugs, tears and gifts were exchanged. An Academy, it is not. Nor is it state of the art as children have no access to using I Pads and there is no internet for teachers to use for instruction. It is clean and sanitized. Staff turn over is high and. most staff are babysitters not teachers especially for older children. Very little preparedness for older children for school. If you want a clean, safe environment this is a great place. If you want more, look at other centers. read more

My twins currently attend this school and my husband and I couldn't be more pleased with this place! Friendly staff, compassionate and experienced teachers, clean, organized, great location, great outdoor play space, affordable tuition, healthy breakfast, lunch & snacks, and the absolute best part... my girls LOVE love love Sunny Days! Every teacher there knows both my girls by name and the girls learn so much! Doctors would warn me that twins are likely to be delayed in speech, but my girls are chatty and they're only 18months! The school environment is great and the decor they put up for holidays are awesome. Every morning my girls are thrilled to get into their carseats because they know they are about to go to Sunny Days. My son has been attending Sunny Days for 9 months now (he's a tad over 2 right now) and we couldn't be happier with this daycare! What I love about them: 1. Location - very nice area of Cherry Hill. Close to all major roads so it's easy to access no matter where you are coming from but hidden away in the development so you don't feel like it's near busy streets. 2. Building - newly remodeled, nicely decorated, very clean. 3. Staff - I love everyone from management to teachers and aids. Very impressed that during our 9 months there, teachers didn't change (low turnover is good sign). 4. Classes - day is full of different activities both educational and fun. Plenty of outside time. Loved that in summer they had water play on some days. Kids have music lessons twice a week! Gymnastics and soccer are offered by a third party vendor for additional cost, classes are held at school 5. Food - breakfast, lunch and snack are provided by school. And they give the real, normal food - not junk food like most daycares. I must say this was one of the selling points for me when we choosing daycares. 6. Most importantly every time I come to pick up my son he is playing with his friends, happy and smiling away :) What could be improved: 1. Parking - parking lot is tiny and is used by teachers. Parents park in front of the building in a row. Not a huge deal as the most I've seen so far was 5 cars and they fit pretty well on the driveway. 2. Hours - school is open from 7 am to 6 pm. Extra 30 min in the morning would be helpful as on some days I have to be at work by 7:15 which doesn't leave too much time to play with. But because school is close to 70 and 295, I can make it work. I'm genuinely happy that I found Sunny Days Academy! read more

I had an at-home nanny for 2.5yrs before even thinking about daycares. When we were finally ready to send our little one to a daycare, we toured a few. I had toured Sunny Days with a friend who sent two of her little ones there before. I didn't have children when I first went. When I went for a second time, when I did have my little one, I re-confirmed it was the perfect place. The staff is amazing. Alex is truly great at what she does. Ms. Carmen, the chef as we know her, is probably the sweetest person ever. Kelly, my little one's teacher, is not just a teacher, she's a second mom and now a true friend. She's family! The fact that the children are provided all meals and snacks is truly priceless to working parents. It's immensely clean. Aside from the convenience, everyone knows everyone by name. It's not a daycare, it's a family. It was important for us to have a place with diversity. NO daycare in south jersey has the diversity; cultural inclusion; multitude of activities; in depth curriculum, and good ol' fashioned nurturing that Sunny Days has overall. My daughter cried the first day, as most kids do. By day two, I was the one crying because she said 'good-bye' to me without hesitation. She loves Sunny Days! We all do! I highly recommend this daycare for your child. From infants to preschoolers, it's a great place to trust with your little one! On a less fun but super important front, security is amazing; biting policy is great and well-enforced from what I hear; updates are constant taking into consideration that there is no camera access for parents; there are cameras in every room running at all times of the day for Alex to review and give access to parents with any concerns; vaccinations are enforced; great hours; very reasonable pricing considering they are caring for our most precious treasures; and, close to many major roads for ease of drop-off and pick-up. I will forever be grateful to Alex, Kelly, Anna, Elaine, Carmen, and all the others that cared and loved my little lady as much as they did. Like I said, it's a family. read more

We love Sunny Days and everyone who works there. Our daughter started there last year before the holidays. It was only going to be short term until her usual sitter was done maternity leave. It's now been over 8 months and I couldn't image her being anywhere else. Everyday when she's getting dressed, she's excited to "go to school" She loves her teachers and loves her classmates. Mommy and daddy love them even more. She has learned so much in her time there. She just turned 2 and knows her alphabet, her shapes, her colors and can count to 10. All because of the care and attention her amazing teachers give. Her classroom teacher Danielle, amazing, the director Alex, amazing, Mrs. Alona, amazing. They are most loving, caring teachers I have ever had the pleasure to know. If you're looking for people who will care about your children almost as much as you do, you found them. Just say if I could give 0 I would. My son went to this daycare for almost 2 years. The first babysitter ( I made reference to baby sitter because that is what they do and they not good at that either) wanted to dictate what I feed my child, so I threaten and searched for a different school however this was more convenient. His second teacher( I will reference her teacher because she is the best at that school) I had no issue. I got updates daily on the progress of my son. When I was registering my son I asked specific questions such as: Will I get daily or weekly updates on my son. I was told yes and that was a lie the only person who did it was Ms Julie, she took pride in her work.Off topic a bit. There was 1 teacher she always looked miserable,overwhelmed and seem like she was not able to manage the kids. One day I saw her and she looked a mess so I ask her if she wasn't feeling well today. She got defensive with an attitude, I am feeling great! Hello if you were you wouldnt be so defensive. Back to my experience..... My son excelled with Ms Julie she did phenomenal!I liked her and asked that they kept my son in her class. They told me they would think about it, however they came back and told me they had to move him.Honestly I was not happy, the director had me meet with the teacher and I explained exactly what I wanted. One day I went to pick up my son and it was such an unorganized mess in the class room. Some kids were coming the teachers hair, others were doing whatever they wanted and it was chaos. This would not have been Julie's classroom. If Miss Julie is staying late with the kids in the pick up room, she always had the kids doing some creative stuff or she is reading to them.The other teachers don't even care they pick a kid they like and play with that kid only or chit chat with each other. I am a very observant person and in the beginning when I use to drop my son off in the mornings I use to see an african american kid sitting by himself while the others play with the teachers and I asked about it twice and no one answered. Well that african American child became my son. I went to pick up my son one particular day and his hair had sand in it. It looked as if someone took the whole box of sand and threw it in his hair. I ask about and they told me non chalant that a child did it. What made me upset is the way they made it seem, my son is african american and he has braids. It is very difficult to get the sand out his hair, I was also concern that the babysitters were not keeping an eye on the kids. What if it was a stick the kid had used to poke my child in his eye? Another day I was late dropping off my son, the teacher had more than 12 kids in the room and she was on her phone, she didn't even see me standing at the door for 5 mins. It is so much bull***t I am going to tell you what broke the elephant back.I had a meeting with the owner and she told me that I should have my son wear a hat, so that the kid who threw sand in his hair wouldn't get sand in his hair again. I also overheard 2 of the teachers gossiping about me and my child and another one gossiping with a parent. The same parent she was gossiping with reprimanded a child that wasnt her child and the teacher did nothing. It came to a point where my child was coming home telling me stuff about someone spitting on him and I told the director and before even talking to the teacher/babysitter she said nothing like that happen. My son came home reprimanding me and grabbing on my face, I ask him where he learned it and he said school mommy. He was not able to say who it was or what actually happened. Well he no longer go there but I am going to make sure it doesnt happen to any other child. read more

My 3-yr-old daughter has been going to Sunny Days for almost a year now and she loves it! She was going to another daycare, but we moved her when my wife changed jobs. We are much more pleased with Sunny Days as compared to the previous facility for several reasons. First, they have a more qualified and more mature staff as opposed to younger girls that appeared to still be in high school. They care more about learning and have a more structured lesson plan. The classes are more controlled and less chaotic than the other place. I love that they have a music teacher come regularly among many other activities offered. They feed your child healthy breakfast and lunch too, whereas the other place didn't. The classrooms are warmer and more conducive to learning. I cannot say enough about the genuine caring and friendliness of the management and staff at Sunny Days! They seem to sincerely take their important roles seriously and love their jobs. Finding Sunny Days to send my twin 3yo daughters was a true blessing. The management, teachers and staff are second to none in caring for my children. The facility is kept spotless and the amount of detail and passion displayed from food prep to lesson planning is truly exceptional. My girls enjoy going to school everyday and absolutely love their teachers and fellow classmates. It's like they're being taken care of by family. I visited 3 prominent facilities in the area and Sunny Days won hands down by a mile. I know my girls are going into a safe, clean and nurturing environment every morning I drop them off. I can't say enough about Sunny Days- we love it there! Both our 7 month old and 3 year old attend, and we are thrilled with how the director handles everything in an approachable, hands on manner with attention to individualized needs. The head of the infant room is fantastic as well. They go above and beyond to communicate with me and make adjustments as the needs of my children grow and change. The programming is excellent- my older son LOVES the music classes. The curriculum is present, but there is plenty of play (and art projects and games, etc. etc.) and the outdoor play area is excellent- big and safe and fun and clean. The location is easy for us to get to with our commute in and out of Philadelphia, the decor is bright and cheerful, they serve food that my son is always happy to eat, the hours are great. Also, every person in the building is happy to go out of their way, even if the child is not one of their classroom's students- they take the time to engage my toddler and encourage him with positive reinforcement so he can learn to listen and share and socialize with all ages.
