Since new ownership took over there has been nothing but negative change. Owners Jillie and Jon were incapable of accepting feedback on implementation of protocol, and informed us we were 'no longer a good fit for the school'. Jillie and Jon are extremely unprofessional and hold their own egos as a higher priority than the children. We will forever be grateful for the teachers and staff that cared and taught our children over the past 7 years - they are fantastic, and their support of our children never wavered.

Unfortunately, ownership recently changed and the entire demeanor of the school changed as well. After providing some open and honest feedback about some policies, the owners thought it was in the best interest of our child to have him removed from the school. I hope the current staff and teachers are able to plant new roots elsewhere; they are too talented and loving to have to deal with the unprofessionalism and combative nature of new ownership. They have successfully undone everything that had been so appealing about The Goddard School for the past 7 years and have left a permanent stain on its name.

So, here's my story…read more March of 2021, we registered to reserve a spot for our daughter to attend. We let the ladies at Chesterbrook know that we were looking to move, and made sure to verify that our deposit would be refundable should we move out of the area. A few months later, we did wind up moving too far to make Chesterbrook a viable option, and began the process of having our money returned to us. Fast forward to March of 2022, and the quest continues. We have called FOURTEEN TIMES, spoken to a dizzying amount of "Laurens" and even had the one person that was handling our request go on maternity leave. Think about that; the person that was supposed to see to our refund had time to get pregnant, began maternity leave, and our money is still not refunded. I have been told countless times that I will receive a phone call. I usually don't. I have called their parent company, Spring Education Group, who have ALSO ignored my voice messages. You can't leave a voice message at Chesterbrook, as their mailbox is full. We have been patient, polite, understanding and calm through this whole ordeal. The ladies at Chesterbrook are always very nice and respectful when we do get to interact with them, but it's obvious that once they have your money, you're no longer a priority. The school itself seemed pretty old and a bit worn when we took our tour, but because the staff seemed so pleasant, we decided to make sure we reserved a spot. (Another thing they were a hard sell on.....they made sure to impress upon us that we should reserve immediately, or the spots would be gone. Red flag.) If I had known communication would be so rough, I never would have signed up. All I want is my refund. My daughter never set foot in their school, yet they are holding on to almost $500 of my money.

Unlike many daycares, MCS allows children a lot of flexibility to learn through play. MCS staff encourage a child's individual interests in addition to providing organized instruction and activities. MCS embraced my daughter when her special needs led three other daycares to not allow her to attend. MCS staff have a lot of experience working with special needs and my daughter has thrived there for now for three years. My daughter has made many friends and looks forward to going to MCS each day. In addition to their great care MCS is located on a small farm, which means they have a very large and open playground with lots of options for outside play year round. The farm also has several animals that the children can interact with (most recently baby goats in a small pen). Overall I can't think of a better place for children to learn and grow in their own individual ways.

Immediately I knew this was a special place for my son. And our experience here with school and summer camp have far surpassed what we had hoped for. Their school motto of "grow confidently"- really illustrates the transformation my son went through from a 2.5 year old toddler to a 5 year old boy who is confident and loves to learn now. The teachers are outstanding- they really love kids and love teaching kids to embrace and enjoy learning. The administrative staff ( Ms. Kerri & Ms. Janine) are amazing and make you feel at ease and that we were part of their family . We will forever love and be a huge advocate for this school !!

If I could post 0 stars, I would…read more If you love your child, do not send them to this 'school'. We sent our child here and had to take her out after half a year. There were multiple incidents of bullying and/or kids just misbehaving and the school not handling those situations properly. I had no false hope that every kid would act like an angel 100% of the time and believe I was realistic in hoping that if and when a child would not behave well, the teachers would know how to handle it- boy, was I wrong! My daughter was scratched, pushed, hit, had her leg stood on by a boy (to which the teacher just told the other kid not to do it bc my daughter didn't like it.... Because so many people would) The straw that broke the camels back was: my husband arrived to pick up my daughter and noticed a bump/bruise on her head. He asked the 3 teachers at the door what happened. They all said they didn't know. Our daughter told us that a boy (who had done other things to her in the past and sounded to be an overall behavioral issue), hit her in the head with a stick on the playground. I asked if a teacher saw. She said no. She said she told a teacher and that teacher put the kid in timeout. Ok, fine. BUT, she happened to be one of the teachers at the door that said she didn't know what happened to my daughter.... In all the time my daughter went yo the school, we felt they operated in the dark. We never received an email about any incidents and when we brought it to her teachers attention, he said he would look into it and get back to me. Never did. After this last incident, they also said they were going to investigate and interview the teachers and get back to me with their findings. They never did. It became very obvious to me that this school was all about collecting $$, but not providing even the basic service of safety, not to mention an education. I am not an unreasonable individual, and if they had just communicated when things happened and told me how they remedied it, I would have been ok. Send your child elsewhere..... there are plenty of good schools out there. This is not one of them.
